I don't know, I vaguely remember a dream where i accomplished a few major goals and I was really happy, and then I woke up.
I think good dreams are worse than bad dreams

That is due to a person wanting to remain in the good dreams, and not return to an "unfair" life, along with being relieved that the bad dream is over and you can return to that same life.

You know one of those dreams where everything is perfect and you don't want to wake up, then you wake up and try to get back to sleep just because of that dream?
Yeah.
I don't remember too many details, but I woke up happy that morning.

And not "Happy"

I dreamt of bowing up a train with one of those old fashioned plunger ingiters, and woke up from a thunderclap just as the dynamit exploded. How the hell do my dreams know how to do that?

I dreamt that I was back at middle school. Then an old man with no eyes was chasing me around yelling "You're not human."
It was a bit creepy.

When I was younger I sometimes had dreams about getting a video game when it was still months from release in reality. Let me tell you, those were very annoying to wake up from.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Well, this morning[1] I had a series of short dreams relating to me laying in bed and phasing in and out of dreams, which I phased in and out of.  Restful, if not exactly productive, to have experienced that multi-layered restfulness.

(Oh, and probably need to explain that I know I was dreaming that I had just come out of a dream, because it was a different bed I was awakening on.  With momentary confusion when awakening IRL and now facing a bedroom wall whose equivalent was on the other side of the bed when dreaming. ;) )

[1] Late this morning, as early on this morning (after managing to snooze on the sofa early yesterday evening) I had a quite different set of dreams that were a lot more exciting, but largely lost to the mists of amnesia.

I was driving a car down the road(not sure what kind but it was red if that helps  :P) and suddenly this smooth looking black ferrari flies out from nowhere and t-bones my car, sending me off the road into a ditch with blood everywhere.
So I am sitting there, unable to move and some EMTs load me up into a blue ambulance and rush me off.
When I arrive at the hospital I have casts on both my arms and I feel like shit.
And for whatever reason, one of the male nurses comes in my room and punches me straight in my face.
Realize it's a dream mode activate!
I tear the casts off with my mind and hurl a bolt of lightning at him which splits him in half somehow just before I teleport my way into a supermarket and a woman wearing a green shirt(rather attractive too)walks over to me and says something that I really don't understand and then I hear somebody scream at me to give me all their money.
I turn around and notice a man, rather short for a man, wearing one of the cliche thief suit things with the ski mask and the black and white clothes and he's holding a very rusty knife.
I flip the bird at him and tear him to pieces with my mind.
Then the police waltz on in and point their pistols at me,speaking in a really weird language that sounds like a cross between Klingon and Italian.
So I try to force upon them a gruesome death but they shoot me over and over and suddenly my lucid dream powers are gone and my life flashes before my eyes.
I am six years old at my old house on the hill and I am sprinting down the long road at night.
Something is following me.
Six year old me turns around and it's a clown.
(And then I wake up)

Yeah...no comment.

I had something happen today that I thought was a dream but turned out to be real.

I was suddenly awakened by very annoying knocking at the door. I stumbled over to the door and there were two strangers outside, asking to see my roommate. I, in my delusional mostly unawakened state, proceeded to look over to my roommate's bed to see if he was there, turned on the light, turned off the light, and then shut the door on them and went back to bed. At no point did I actually say anything to them.

After waking up hours later I wondered if that had really happened or not, but decided that it probably did not, until my roommate asked me why I shut the door on his friends.

I had a rather surreal dream a while ago, though rather short.
I was on some small planet thing, rotating in the cosmos amid a plethora of other planets, when I came upon a baby wearing a steel face mask. It grabbed me by the head with all four limbs, somehow stroked my cheek without letting go, and whispered, "You're so ... (word that seemed to mean angry big old)." It then detached from it's limbs and floated in front of me, just a baby torso with a steel face mask on. It reached up with nonexistent arms to reach the mask and pull it off. I only got a glimpse before I woke up, but the face was ... I can't remember it, but it was curious and very strange.
