Last night i dreamed something about being a horse in a town made up entirely of stables made out of hay that forgot it was a horse and went flying to a really tall citadel with stained glass windows and everything to ask a group of owls for help with something. I forget if they agreed, but I flew away from there and through some very thick woods (I was a bird by then) accompanied by a cat from before; I couldn't remember where. All of a sudden I was the cat, and I killed a rabbit that was chasing me, and then I was me all of a sudden and was confronted with a naked mole rat queen on my bed attempting to seduce me. I then woke up.

For some weird reason, I was out in Tasmania (a heavily forested state of Australia), near a cliff near the sea. There was a lookout point that went over the cliff, and I went on it. For some reason, it was also part of a turbine for a power plant, though it was alone. Upon standing on the lookout, the slowly spinning turbine visible through the glass floor began to spin, and so did the glass floor I was on. I struggled to retain my standing. Then the dream finished.

Oh, I had my usual weird and wonderful complement of dreams last night, of which little notable information remains once wakefulness was rejoined.

I do know, though, that in the eight minutes between my 8:30 alarm and the 8:30 alarm's first (and, on this particular occasion, final) "snooze" repeater effort I had a rather vivid dream in which I was faced with a "it should have been lucid" moment.  After something unmemorable, I was being asked something like "Why is that truck named Alaska?" (though that's not even a best guess, just vaguely representative of the hint of the abstraction that I can still recall), which was just so preposterously nonsensical (even within whatever now-forgotten context the dream provided) that I was virtually struck dumb, replied that I just couldn't answer that question, and then I woke up.

(In time to walk across the room to the alarm[1] and then get the snooze-alarm happening to me so that I could react to it and this time totally cancel it.  Which, together with footnoted action, gives me even less than eight minutes to have entered and exited that particular dreaming phase...  Unless I did the original alarm snoozing in my sleep, of course. ;))

[1] Again!  As in, I must have gone over to hit the snooze at 8:30, before returning to bed, but I can't remember that at all.

I had the first dream I remembered anything of in a long, long while, and though I forgot much of it, this is what I remember:

I was playing some sort of modern-setting Skyrim-like game (gameplay and UI were very similar to Skyrim), with my character living in a village by a beach. Eventually, I had to fight some bandits (I think they attacked the village), and ended up beating them up with my fists, leaving my village... From here, what I remember segues into traveling into some sort of building, where a whole small secret room swivels as one of the bandits mistakes me for one of his higher-ups, starts to talk and then realizes his mistake, starts to swivel the room back but not before I walk in and beat him into the floor of the room (like so he's submerged all up to his head in the floor. He lives.) Then, I'm staring at money on the ground in said room and unable to pick it up, when police arrive, which I guess I must work with because they don't arrest me, and start wordlessly investigating the now revealed hideout- except for the one guy, who is egotistically going on to his girlfriend about how it's nice he busted this guy (the bandit) all on his own.

I was on campus at school, and there was a voice over that was me discussing the effectiveness of various types of armor stats in video games. mostly Guild Wars 2. Really boring stuff, not sure why I was doing it. Then at some point I got armored up and got a mace and started farming monsters, but I was a defensive class so I was doing it really slowly.

While this was happening, the voice over changed into a discussion of power creep in League of Legends. I kept beating down the monsters really slowly, then at some point some chick fired off some spell to finish them off for me. She then made fun of me for taking so long and ran off.

I guess I was thinking video games last night.

I had a very weird dream that involved flying backwards over pine trees, and tan women with purple hair wearing orange lingerie claiming to be my sisters while being sniffed at by a dog person. Today I saw at least four stray dogs while going to get my groceries, which triggered my cyneophobia. I wonder if there is a connection between the two.

Had a wet dream about sexy gay men, tanned and oil'd.

First part of it I will leave out for obvious reasons, the second part involved us (me + sexy gay men) going on destroying planets because aliens tried to invade Earth.

Had my first Dwarf Fortress inspired dream that wasn't just ASCii images burned into my mental retinas from a night of binge-gaming. Not surprising, since I was having a hard time going to sleep before hand due to all these ideas for megaproject forts floating around in my head.

The legendary metalsmith from the starting seven was lying on his deathbed, with his family and friends gathered around to wait for him to pass from old age. Legendary in all metal skills, he had become known as the backbone of the fort, a dorf who all dorfs knew and looked up to. Lying on his deathbed, nearing the end, he wonders who could possibly replace him.

Then enters the annoying young upstart apprentice, little more than an orphan chilld who was thrust into working furnaces the instant he was of age. The annoying brat who the old blacksmith had tried to teach some of his smithing skills, since he lacked any son of his own to teach. Before now, it had seemed as if the apprentice hadn't learned anything, as if nothing had sunken in, as if the child just didn't care about metalworking.

And this annoying, disrespectful child clasped the wizened old blacksmiths hand, and said "Do not worry, I remember everything you said. I'll forge some great things with your secrets." The orphan brat has finally grown up.

The two embrace like father and son, before the old smith at last dies in peace.

I recall my subconscious shedding some manly tears as the scene unfolded. Then my alarm clock interrupted, and any more of the story was lost.

Before i start, know that i am arachnophobic.

This person came to me, and asked me to retrieve some specific spiders, by very vague descriptions. When he left, another person came to me and showed me lego models of the spiders i would hunt, then brought up a Bay12 forum post, with just two spoilers on it. I clicked the first spoiler, and it was a real-life photo of a spider, which startled me. Then i clicked the other, and it was a terrifying picture of a spider, the sight of which woke me up, and made me jump out of bed and check myself for spiders.

Had a sort of waking dream this morning. I got to sleep in today, but forgot to adjust my alarm clock. When I got up to hit the snooze button, I spent a good minute trying to remember how to activate the clock's DreamGuardian system. Eventually I gave up and went back to bed, blearily rationalizing that the odds of dream thieves attacking me in the extra five minutes or so I'd be asleep were remote. It wasn't until much later that I realized how out of it I was.

I had a long series of dreams last night. I remember like half of them.

For some reason, I ended up in a glee club. This is probably because I watched Glee last night, and they were preparing for regionals. So I went to regionals, which turned out not to be about singing and dancing, but instead curling up inside inflatable balls and rolling around until we knocked the other team out of this arena. It was also held at a fair, with cheap fair food and all. I purchased some food between rounds at some point.

So then I get woken up and fall back asleep. I return to the dream, but one of my teammates and I are in a relationship. We're in her apartment and she's being really bossy and I realize that she's being controlled by something - not possessed exactly, but it's giving her ideas and pushing her toward its goals. I realize that Bay 12 is at risk, but it's too late. She gets on the forums and starts recruiting other people to do stuff, but they're in the middle of a video game.

The dream then switches to the video game, where the player characters are scientists in these glass domes and they have to place towers to defend against approaching giant dinosaurs. They fight off something that looks like a horrorsaurus with a regular dinosaur body instead of tentacles, but it's difficult and destroys most of their defenses. Then out of nowhere tons of the horrorsaurs appear and they realize they're doomed.

It switches back to me, and the girl is being really bossy. I realize that I'm getting, uh, aroused at this, so I go to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and see that she cut my hair short and gave me braces. The upper braces are normal but the lower ones are letters spelling out "BRACES". I start to panic and contemplate prying them off my teeth, then wake up.

I had the weirdest dream that I feel like I've had before.

Some kid had a book containing a huge amount of writing which was key to unlocking an ancient seal on ancient dungeon etc etc doesn't matter I can't remember much pertaining to that so it's not important. He was sort of working with me, but didn't want to give up the book for me to use; and ran off. Then I set off in chase and he ran through a furniture shop, running over tables and generally being difficult to follow. I felt myself getting tired and then I woke up with aching legs. Must have been tensing them in my sleep. It hurt for ages.

I had a dream that during an interview Oprah broke down and admitted to having sexual relations with Adolf Hitler.  When Hitler was 20 or so.

I woke up and the only thing I could think of was that Oprah must be pretty old.

Last night's dream involved pirate ships, Pokemon, and Japanese magnet trains.

I start off in a ship, sailing somewhere. I'm a prisoner, and there are two other notable ones. One's just a guy who's angry to be here, while the other guy is really calm and suave and kind of suspicious. I don't remember quite what goes on here but we end up escaping while the ship is docked, I dress up as a girl, and then I try to stab suspicious guy with a knife but he knocks my blade aside without looking.

Me and angry guy run away from him with some other ex-prisoners, and angry guy becomes the leader of this group. We travel across several islands that all seem like the ones in Wind Waker, and eventually get our hands on some of our own ships. We're aiming to take on our old captors in a sea battle. I've found a sword by now.

There's a disturbance on the deck. Suspicious guy is back, and he's just standing there, talking to people all casually even though it's clear they're terrified of him. His back is turned to me so I draw my sword and slash at him. As it connects with him, there's a thud and suddenly he's sitting on a bench, unharmed, and I've been disarmed.

I freak the fuck out and get on a Japanese underground magnet train heading south. I have no clue why these little islands have a rail system. I think the setting just changed. Anyways, I'm playing Pokemon on my 3DS to pass the time. I decide that I'm going to get on a train going back north and take the dude by surprise, but all of the stops are for weird shit like kennels so I can't get off yet.

Eventually I get fed up and get off at the station that's a gay-only bathroom. I decide I'm just going to walk through and hopefully nobody will yell at me, but luckily there's a tunnel going beside the bathroom so I just walk through that. Then I meet up with one of my allies and we talk and walk towards the train stop while I realize I left my 3DS and Pokemon on the train.

I then freaked out for a second but had a moment of lucidity where I realized this was just a dream and I didn't actually lose my 3DS. Then, as usual for my moments of lucidity, I immediately woke up.
