I woke up in my room in the morning and put on my clothes. When I opened the door I've found out that I was actually at the fourth floor of my school. I went to the third floor and looked around. Everything seemed to be in order.
I went back to the fourth floor, only to bump into my classmates, who were dressing up. They shouted something like "Hey! Don't just stand there, come here!". I responded "Yeah, I'm going!" and thought "Something's wrong here". I did a reality check and found out that I was actually dreaming, but I woke up soon after that.
I'm not sure if my actions were conscious or not, but at least I can reality check (apparently)

First of all, young Romulan officer was charged with some crime of violating space law of Romulan Star Kingdom, so I helped him find a forgotten planet full of pinky pyramid aliens, and this saved hte officer from disgrace.

My PC began to go funky so I turned off the harddrive, the case, and my ram degraded to vga3, whatever that means. But everything turned out okay in a second.

Next part of the dream I was in medieval fantasy village and everyone was looking like bing 2D from anime. First, I helped a gang of Self-Righteous Gunwielding Rebels against a group of bandits, who had gravimancer in their midst and when said gravimancer flipped the house to one side, the SRGR leader got shot, and I had to run.

Then I saw a friend of my friend, almost completely nude, being sold as sex slave to some man in Prussian-looking military uniform, and the two drove away in a fancy limo, so I vowed to the grandmother of that friend that I won't allow her second son to be taken.

Then I was rummaging in bushes when I met a young, scantily-clad girl necromancer who tried to tame two werewolf-vampire kids. We had to hide because Grand Inquisitor was passing by, but one of the werewolf kids developed allergy to grass, began sneezing and we were found out. Yet again I had to run whilst the trio battled the Grand Inquisitor on a grassy field.

Night came, and I found a wounded bunny. I picked it up, found a nest of foxes and thrown bunny inside, and then watched as a herd of young foxes shred and devoured the poor bunny alive.

As the night passed, I went back to village, and threw few rotten vegetables against a rebel tied to a pole, because why not. I came back to the grandmother lady, with her help, we began to distill ambergris from coconut oil and honey, which is totally not what you call ambergris at all.

We sold first batch for 15 golden coins to the local militia leader (more like a thug, really). However, we understood we might not make it (youngest son's price was estimated at 25 golden coins), so I gave away my clothes to the youngest son of the grandmother lady, and said son escaped the village (he later bumped onto few remaining SRGR goons and they helped him out).

As we were preparing another batch of ambergris for selling, the grandmother got agitated. When I asked her, she began to whisper "The Matrix! Matrix is coming! You have to wake up!" Everything started to rumble as if there was earthquake...

And guess what, my alarm clock woke me up next moment. I thiiiink I have to sleep without this thing on or I will never get through my dreams fully :-\

I had a dream that blueberry pancakes covered in buttery syrup that were sold at Jack in the Box gave people in wheelchairs, people with brain injuries, and people with Autism Spectrum Disorders the gift of immortality thanks to the discovery of a brothel owner that found out that if you mix radioactive isotopes with such dish and not with cough drops and chewing gum that you will live forever after getting curbstomped during a Hatfield and McCoy shoot-out.

Strangely this wasn't a nightmare. It just left me wanting blueberry pancakes with tons of buttery syrup.

Can we post dreams we had awhile ago or is this more like "post the dream you had last night" sort of thing? I've been keeping a dream journal for awhile (scribbles on awaking) and lately I've been rewriting the dreams into something more coherent so that others can understand them easier. Which pretty much turns them into mismatch-plotted and nonsensical short stories. I am okay with this. :P

Well, I don't think we enforce a rule that doesn't allow people to write any other dreams than their last dream but it would be kinda long if you post your whole journal here. So, give us your best dreams!

I tried keeping a dream journal but I'm damn near inconsistent with that sort of thing, which is strange since I spent a good four or five years writing into a journal every day as part of special education. I guess I really don't want to do such a thing despite the fact that I think it would be cool to lucid dream as a result. I am guessing that I just don't want to press the button responsible for making the effort.

I do remember that I had a dream that I was in a ghetto once and there was some pretty bad acid rain pouring down on me. I then ended up fighting tentacle monsters with fireballs in a back alleyway. I think that was when I was still playing HellMOO, as sometimes if I play certain games enough I will start dreaming about them.

It was the same with Dwarf Fortress. When the 2010 version came out I had dream after dream about managing a bunch of drunken midgets trying to make a fortress in a chalk mine that was just above a raging river. And I dreamed these dreams in ASCII. I still wonder to this day if it somehow related to the whole Tetris syndrome phenomenom and if that was what I was experiencing with my Dwarf Fortress dreams, or if I just really loved Dwarf Fortress.

Haha, yeah, I think if I posted it all the thread would break. Been journalling dreams for the last 5 years or so. Once you do it for awhile you start remembering dreams every day and they get real lengthy and more contiguous (idk how else to call it, but the images don't shift as much like dropping into a new story for no reason). I'll see if I can rustle up some of the more interesting ones. Lately they're all boring versions of "here is an axe for your head!" though.

Occasionally I have very weird dreams (Who doesn't). A few weeks ago I had a string of strange dreams. Been a while since I had dreams like these, I'll try and say what I can remember.

There are two dreams that really stand out to me. The first of these, I was on the roof of my house. However, the roof was massive, and terraced at parts. On the side facing the backyard, there was a door frame and two very crappy windows to the right of it. I entered the room, it was rectangular, with the long side being the side with the windows and door frame. What was odd about the room was, well, it was completely coated in thick algae. Algae like that you find floating at the top of ponds, the thick bubbly stuff. The room smelled horrible (Yes, I stimulated my sense of smell in a DREAM. Nothing smelt like it around me.) and I felt like I was suffocating. I think I then fell to the ground and proceeded to wake up.

In another later dream, I had some how managed to clean out the room. But, there was a door in the back of the room. I felt like I had to go through it, but I was absolutely terrified. I was afraid the door to the outside would close. I don't remember much else of that dream, but I am pretty sure I didn't go through the door.

Those were the two that stand out the most to me. I remember some other dreams from around that time. One was where I was riding on a bus, at predawn where everything is tinted blue. I remember lightning strikes occurring to the sides of the bus. The same night, slightly before hand, I was on some weird cloud plane, overlooking what seemed like earth, with a small cloud rectangle slightly above, all in the predawn blue tint. Another time I remember seeing a city be nuked. Instead of blowing up, or a fire ball, just the ground was disturbed, moving in a wave giving off heat streams. Later that dream I remember an underground bunker with a mad AI surrounded by glass.

Been awhile since I had interesting dreams like these.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

I've gained the strangest impression that my dreams are trying to tell me something, and that I really need to sleep in a few more times to figure it out.

Pardon me while I go crazy? o_O

My dream was very, VERY weird.

I was the protaganist in a pokemon-esque game, and I had to do a fight that I tried a few times before etc. I won by clever use of pokemon types. Then suddenly, the arena was a place vaguely resembling my school, and I was on a bike. There were kids with lightsabers, but one of them wouldn't work, so I gave the kid that had the malfunctioning lightsaber a lift on my bike to the capital of the Roman Empire, and then I was Julius Caesar and told the kid about my journeys.

Wut.

I always have the creepiest most narcissistic dreams.
My latest one was of me apparently being the leader of the world, and outlawing reproduction of those with IQ's under 125.
Sounds kind of hitler-esque, now that I think about it. Sterilization and all.

So I was in my house going through my normal weekday morning routine, except with a few oddities.

[1] There was no food, only delicious hot drinks.
[2] A pizza delivery guy was driving over our fences.
[2] My neighbour was a builder.
[4] There were people living in my house who've never set foot in it before.
[5] All of my things were dumped unceremonially in a pile by the front door.
[6] I was holding a book I had already read <- This is what prompted me to realize I was dreaming. First dream where I said out loud I was dreaming too.  Aw yeah, victorly.

(Oh and there is no 3)

Did you wake up immediately after realizing that you were dreaming?
