I had a incredibly weird dream last night, weird enough that I really feel the need to share it here. It was also ridiculously long, hence why I put it in a spoiler:
The dream started as some kind of Simpson video game set in a zombie apocalypse, playing as Bart. There was some kind of time limit, after which I was doomed to die from the disease, because apparently everyone had the zombie disease in a dormant form. Anyways, I remember that there were zombies everywhere, literally. Not a single place was safe from them, which I noticed as I barely managed to escape from a house's backyard towards the street of some suburb. There were so many of them that I didn't have time to kill any, the only thing I could do was to push them with my rifle (the idea of shooting them never came to me for some reason. Also, I looked like the protagonist of one of the older grand theft auto game at this point). Eventually I managed to leave that part of the town, reaching some kind of tall building in the city's downtown.
There was some kind of weird intermission after that, in which I collected as many precious gems and metals as I could in some alley before coming back to the same building, in which I was trying to kill some sort of gangster pimp street vendor guy (I have no idea).
After that, the dream returned to the zombie apocalypse setting, with me as the real me this time, and the tall building was suddenly a gigantic cathedral in some kind of industrial zone with a parking lot to the west side leading to a mall. The cathedral was really strange, even if ignoring the ridiculous size (it was the tallest structure in the entire city, which I identified as being chicago, despite not looking like it and being in the top-middle part of the U.S instead of being next to the great lakes). The exterior consisted of black metals borders around billions of small glass portions, which were mostly shaped like triangles. I managed to climb to the lower roof (which covered about half of the structure, the rest was much higher up, were you'd expect the bell tower to be). I was trying to get in because I knew they had the cure, which I desperately needed, as the ten minute delay before the virus would leave it's dormant state was almost over.
I could see through the window some people in front of a painting of a Spanish man, wearing clothes from around the renaissance era. He was apparently some sort of heroic figure within the church, having saved something or many important people. The people in front were complaining about him, saying that they didn't like his skin color, which was very dark, looking almost like that of a black person. I found these people to be extremely petty, making me hate them even more (they were also holding the cure to the virus and refusing to give it to those in need, and locked their doors, not letting anyone inside, despite having enough room for thousand more). I eventually managed to come inside through a open window on the side.
Inside the cathedral which was extremely luxurious, I met with a giant purple-blueish, somewhat fat woman in black robes (or maybe it was a white toga? I don't remember that part too much). Instead of alerting the guards (if there were any), she wanted to pass some time with me and learn more about me. I think she found me attractive, because of how much she seemed interested in me and the way she talked to me, while I found her disgusting. At some point she gave me some pills, which turned out to be poisonous for me (but not for her, something about us being from different species), but I already knew that beforehand, and took the antidote which I happened to have on me for some reason. The antidote reacted very oddly to the pill, making foam like some chemical reaction, which had the effect of melting off my cheeks, which didn't hurt at all for some reason. I found the cure to the zombie virus and took it, and left the cathedral without being spotted.
After this, some stuff happened before I arrived to the cathedral in the first place (or maybe it was some kind of flashback?), including a dispute between me and my family, something about me wanting to burn the cathedral because everyone inside were massive jerks (for reasons shown before), which they found to be immoral. It ended with them leaving to Mexico, were they wouldn't have to fear a winter without electricity, while I started climbing the cathedral, leading to the events of the last three paragraphs.
At this point I was overtaken by an unstoppable rage, and was possibly a mutated cyborg or a robot, as I climbed to the top of the cathedral, setting the place on fire with a Molotov cocktail on my way. I watched the place burn form the upper roof of the cathedral, leaving a metal skeleton behind (not a literal skeleton, only the metal portions of the cathedral were left). Afterwards I left to the south, because I didn't want to freeze to death when winter would come either.
The next part is kinda blurry, I moved to the south through a state called "Midwayland", which encompassed the center of the united states and part of the east coast, this state consisted mostly of prairies, grasslands, small hills and forests, but I never saw any of that, instead there was an endless ruined and partially burnt suburb, with a permanent cloudy sky. In there I killed tons of zombies and some people for reasons I don't remember. I was becoming more and more aggressive and cruel as time passed, reaching the point where I was almost acting like a feral animal. I remember that nothing was threatening or scary to me at this point, and that pretty much everything was scared of me.
I eventually reached the border of Texas leading to Mexico, which looked like a mix between the grand canyon and a desert. I was still a mutant or a cyborg or a robot (I can't exactly remember, I think it moved randomly between the three), and was quite scary. I came in contact with a group of survivors who were also going to Mexico to avoid the winter (I believe pretty much everyone who was still alive at this point was moving south). The meeting wasn't exactly peaceful, as they immediately started firing on me, I think because my family was with them and told them that I went pretty much insane at this point, and because I was probably terrifying (and I might had killed a few of them stealthily before, but I don't really remember). I was hiding behind a car while shooting at them with a unknown weapon, either a shotgun or a blowpipe with poisonous darts, or maybe a rifle of some kind. I was eventually captured, and after a while I became sane again, at which point I joined their group.
At this point things started becoming weirder and weirder, starting with a weird dating sim happening at the bottom of a pool, which apparently lead to an underground hotel, which didn't really interest me. After that, I went with a few people from my group to scavenge some houses and scout the area south. We were attacked by zombies in a house (and by house I mean a crappy wooden shack next to the otherwise deserted road) just as I expected, but we dealt with them quickly. We went on the roof afterwards for some reason, and then one of the members of the group, a woman, started plotting to kill my brother, either to punish a nonexistent crime, or to obtain a position of power. We were forced to kill her when she attempted her murder, and quickly forgot she even existed. After that, the dream degenerated in some sort of police tv show (with some horrifyingly graphic details, like a child whose entire body was torn apart bit by bit, leaving only the head, the vital organs and some weird spaghetti-like bloody filaments, she somehow survived this and was rescued. That part was really messed up, almost like a nightmare) before becoming complete nonsense.
I really don't know what to think about this dream. It was both awesome and disturbing at the same time. Any thought?
Now I really want to draw scenes from it, should I post them here if I ever finish them or would it be a better idea to just put them in the random art thread?
