Last night was the weirdest goddamn dream... first it started out with me visiting some strip mall that wasn't opened up yet. So an old woman on a bulldozer drove by, and rammed right through one of the storefronts (it was just made of glass), went right on through the store from one end to, apparently, another glass storefront. So I followed her through to try to get a photo of her so I would have something to provide to the police. She stopped the bulldozer on the other side, met her husband, apparently, and both of them grabbed a shopping cart and went shopping in the store across the street. So I want In and got the photo, then went back to the mall.

When I got there and went back Into the store she drove through, it was no longer a long, straight store but a winding, twisting hallway through the building. I naturally got completely lost. Then people started to show up, so I went down a narrow hall to a bathroom and hid there. In a couple minutes some guy came in and spotted me, and asked if I was covering for someone else. I said yeah and he told me what to do. When I got back out to the store-hall everything was cleaned up. There were new shelves bolted to the walls/floor, stocked with shoes. So I stuck around as an employee of the shoe store trying to be a good employee until my shift ended. Not sure if I was on the pay roll at all...

So I walk out off the store, and instead of being outdoors, about a strip mall, I'm in an enormous building, kind of a mall. Multiple stories, lined with food courts, stores, and after I passed what I guess was the nexus of the structure and into another wing entirely, an indoor amusement park with Ferris wheels and shit. All free to ride whenever. There were also arcade galleries, lines and lines of arcade games like the slot machines in a casino, also free to play. I couldn't find any particularly good ones, so I sat down at a table with some other folks I didn't recognize and started playing D&D with them.

Best dream ever. Sadly I woke up after that because the dog wanted to go out.

I was back at a school of some kind, but I think it was a bit of an undercover school of magic. They were holding prefect elections, and I was elected to head of leadership, which I knew was mainly the head of light magic. There were several others, too; the main ones were the two (one boy, one girl) elected to head os dark magic. I didn't know what their 'actual' roles were, but because being head of leadership/light gave me paladin-like skills, I could tell they were evil.

We discussed a lot of stuff. At one point, I got up to make coffee in the little kitchen adjoining the room we were talking in. Another person joined me; she was inexplicably robed and hooded. I didn't remember seeing her, but I assume she was one of the prefects, or she couldn't have got in. She held up a small, irregular green jar and offered to kill the heads of dark magic for me. At this point, I was indeed worried about the heads; but my paladin-ish nature obviously prevented me from sending an assassin after them, so I grabbed her wrist before she could do anything with the pot. We somehow peacefully and quietly sorted it out, and I delivered the coffee.

Cut to night, at a chalet near the beacj somewhere. I was outside, the floor was thick dust and grit, and there wer only a few lights. The quiet was interrupted by the unmistakable sound of an airliner rapidly losing height, so I started ineffectually panicking whilst a guy I assume was a friend of mine ran down to the beach and somehow laid out lights for the plane to land on the beach. I assume it worked, because I went to bed and when I woke up the plane was parked a hundred metres down the beach, with deep tracks runnning behind it. All 47 passengers survived the landing. The interior of the plane was pretty standard airbus stuff.

At this point, I suddenly realised that assassination was a trick I was worried the heads of dark would pull, so I headed back to the chalet to fetch my wand and prepare some non-lethal magic to defend myself. My wand turned out to be a fineliner, and the way to prepare defensive magic was to stew some unidentified greenish animal and pour the chunky mix into a bottle. I was under the impression that I could use the wand and gloop in conjuction to wipe people's minds, but I wasn't sure how. I decided I'd figure it out when I needed it; a bad call.

I spent some time wandering around fiddling with my wand and in meetings. At one point, someone who must have been in the know about the magic school told me I must be ready to defend myself. He was an oldish man, and he nodded approval when I showed him my wand and explained I had the mindreaver stew in my pocket.

The penny finally dropped in another meeting. We were seeted in a circle, and the people 90 degrees to my left and right and the guy directly opposite all stood and attacked me. I guess they must have been pretty weak attacks, because I didn't die for long enough to pull out my wand and attempt to wipe the guy opposite me's mind. It didn't work, so I ducked, frantically uncorked my bottle, dipped my wand in, flicked it at the guy and screamed an incantation. Nothing happened, except I might have got some soup on his shirt. I tried again. There was a bright flash of light and he dropped his wand, staring dazedly around. There may have actual stars floating above his head.

At this point, the rest of the prefects joined in, perhaps realising that if I cleaned up the assassins and none of them had helped I'd probably start on them.

The dream unfortunately ends here. I'm not sure, but I strongly suspect I was semi-lucid most of the time; things like suddenlly making my magic work partially bear this out.

I had an unusual dream that kinda played like Attack on Titan, before the series timeline (like when the first titans made an appearance). Plus, it seemed like I was elsewhere deeper inland. Took place at a rather large place, like a mansion, 4-stories tall, and rather adequate size. A bit fancier than the places I used to clean carpets for.

Anyhow, I was chilling out with some rather high-class people for some kind of gathering. I wasn't much a fan of the upper class types. Kinda dull. Don't remember if it was some sort of charity banquet or something. Anyhow, I had an uneasy feeling, and saw some trees moving, and some rather tall shadows pass behind them from out the window as I was looking outside keeping myself busy. Oddly enough, the movements were somewhat quiet, but I couldn't shake off my unease; so I deviated from the main hall, and went up to the roof of the place. Lo and behold, I saw a few titans from up high. Fortunately, they weren't taller than the building, but they were cruising on by.

I continued watching them go by, seeing if they were passing through, or were going to get to us. They seemed calm enough at the start, but then one made its way towards the house, and I eventually heard someone scream in panic. Then all hell broke loose, and one decided to investigate more closely. After that, it screamed for the others to come along, and then dozens started charging for the building. Way smaller, but still craploads, and as you'd predict, the people inside were as dumb as you'd expect, and started to evade. Some in cars, others by foot. Naturally, none were successful. Being witness to the start of the devastation, I charged coreward into the building; but not before taking one more look outside. For some odd reason, the trees also came to life and mobilized and joined forces; some trees, small enough to fit inside the building, started plowing through and hunting down people.

With nowhere left to really go, I decided to find a closet or something to hunker down in. To my fortune, I found what would look like a small door to find a circuit breaker in, only to find out it was a larger closet, able to fit some people. Apparently, another resident had a similar idea and joined me in there. Being used to the calamity by this point, I braced the door, collected some stuff inside together to hide behind in case the door was broken down, and after calming the girl that joined me down, covered my face with a nearby hat, and fell asleep amongst the screaming and bloodshed going on outside. It was horrible, but I slept through gore-fest movies playing loudly before, so it was almost no different. I would assume the room was never broken into; and to be honest, I was worried what I would be welcomed with when the dream continues eventually; but by the time I fell asleep, I woke up.

The dream was about half as long as I slept (4-hours; noontime in-dream).

PERSONAL NOTES:
-Those titans were quite nimble, and odd to look at, since it was like a size modifier being used on someone. Not to mention, I was worried a few might actually be smart and/or patient.
-The mobilized trees almost caught me off guard... had it not been for the Thriller Bark Arc of One Piece. And prior knowledge that we have plenty of alcohol from the banquet to make molotov cocktails with. Not to mention, I also part-expected it.
-I am a much better driver than the panicked dumbasses that hit the high road, and I might have a potential gunner in case we find some weapons on the way out. Having watched AoT also helps in knowing how to take them out, provided the means to, sans lucidity. I aim to fight fairly. No True God Mode (AKA-Full Lucid; regular God Mode means I'm invincible).
-I hope I saw a Jaguar XKR in that driveway, and I hope it's still there. Why? Because I love that car, and want to use it (plus, it suits me, with my driving skills). Let's just hope it's not already blood-soaked (that blood should be my own, if I fail; unlikely as that sounds).

Had a weird vague dream. Don't remember the specifics well, but it included me barricading myself in my dorm room with half of a bed frame, me yelling "I don't have a problem" at some point to people saying I had a problem and that everyone also has that problem and it's "perfectly natural", and concluded with me being elected to some position and having to get a speech, while half dressed in pajamas, which was embarrassing.

Had some pretty freaky dreams this past week.

The first involved me pulling apart one of my big toes and discovering teeth inside it. I woke up after freaking out at the sight of teeth and attempting to put my mangled toe back together.

The second involved a strange old guy who would come knocking at the front door all hours of the day, constantly trying to get inside the house on one pretense or another. Eventually we told him to get lost, and he immediately turned sinister, talking about how the world was dangerous and that he sincerely hoped that we locked every door and window every night, because one night we would forget and then something bad would (not might) happen. I woke up before that came to pass.

Keeping a dream journal is the best thing.

Quote from: from dream journal
Buddy coming over and getting eaten by and invasive fungus which we put in a barrel and burn, whose origin I racked through a lady throwing out the trash to a genius young man who was then subject to shame and guilt by the FBI WHO WERE FOUND TO BE INFILTRATED BY EVIL CREATURES. AFTER FIDDLING WITH MY PHONE TRYING TO GET PICTURES OF MY FAMILY (OR WAS IT BEFORE?) I LEFT, SOCKLESS, ONLY TO FIND SOME SOCKS IN THE SCHOOL CAFE.

ALSO LAST NIGHT I WAS CHASED BY THIS HORRIBLE DREAM CREATURE THROUGH A FOREST

Speaking of dream journals, I transcribed mine recently and ran it through Wordle to make a word cloud. The most common words appear largest. For anyone who keeps a digital journal or transcribes theirs, it would be awesome to see yours in this way.

I once dreamt that the moon was red.

Another one, I was going around Derby city on motorised roller-skates for no real reason. Also, the usually decent roads had turned into a more complicated version of Spaghetti Junction.

... My dreams are odd.

I once had a dream that a bunch of lasers hit the moon and knocked it out of orbit. For rather obvious reasons I panicked I ran around trying to get to a safe area, (even though there was no such thing) at the end of the dream the moon was back where it should be.

I also once had a dream that I ran around ripping people apart. heh, after I woke up I was pretty out of it for awhile.
