I recently had a dream where Cicero from Skyrim somehow became the president of the USA. Which was terrifying and absolutely hilarious at the same time.

It still looks very full though, which is what matters to my mind. *sigh*.

Just fell asleep in the mid-afternoon and slept til about 11PM, and had one of the oddest dreams I've had in a while. :o It was DF-related too, which I'm sure is a plus!
Can't remember exactly how it started, but early on the dream was some sort of party-based dungeon crawler, with the party- consisting mostly of dwarves apart from my character, who was a human who looked a bit like the fighters out of Disgaea- fighting various generic underground monsters that I don't remember too well.

Anyway, the group's progress stalled before we got very far, as the dwarven members of the group debated what to do with a (possibly magical/artefact) admantine sword and suit of armour they had found. My character, not interested in all that nonsense, went down a level and was fighting these weird monsters as he navigated between pools of lava. (They kinda reminded me of some pokemon, Sneazel or something?)

Eventually the party decided (mostly at the urging of the more patriotic members) that the sword and armour would be given to the leaders of the dwarven civ for testing, that they might learn to imitate it. That was the dream's cue to switch to a sort of newspaper comics page, with several strips showing the dwarf civ's plan to send the adamantine gear out to various fortresses for field testing.

The first strip showed the rather unenthusiastic party leader handing over a cardboard box containing the sword (a weary expression of suppressed anger on his face) to a hyper-cheerful mayor/expedition leader of some backwoods fort, a representative of the government solemnly looking on.
"We're going to launch it 15 z-levels at the goblins [and have a squad retrieve it]!" said the recipient, happily.

I don't remember the rest as clearly, but there were strips showing the bizarre "tests" thought up by the overseers of various forts, goblins protesting the war crimes committied on them(and the unfair OP-ness of the adamantine), and, for some reason, a few strips on the benefits of marble-coated guitar strings, which the dwarves were somehow milking out of cows. ??? Marble guitar strings were apparently brought into popularity by Elvis Presley.

...That was a very weird dream. :P For some reason I remembered that part of it quite well, compared to usual, at least.
It helps that I typed it into a memo on my phone near as soon as I woke up. There was more dream earlier on, though, which I don't remember it. Thinking back, I believe the artifact, magical adamantine sword and suit of armour were actually a fairly common drop(in the game the dream started in), hence why my character wasn't too interested.

Okay, well, a nuke hit my city for some reason and I asked this guy why and he started babbling conspiracies at me and my friend's dad died of radiation poisoning and we had to live in the new rec center nearby for protection or something.

And in a different dream I was walking in a scenic mountain town and I saw this rocket and this safety guy was all like "dont go over there ok" and I was all like "ok safety guy" and I didn't go over there and the rocket pivoted in midair and flew right at me and it was a huge space rocket and it was really scary and then it exploded the building I was standing on and then I ran away and then there was another rocket and it also flew at me and I exploded and died.

But not all of my dreams involve giant explosions! They also have weird places, like a bunch of trails near my house that I was sure were real when I woke up but they weren't - just lots of fabricated locations that are nearby.

Also, here's my weirdest dream of all time.

This space guy has his planet exploding and was sent in a spaceship to plant pumpkins. This would help somehow. So he goes around on generic space planets planting pumpkins until he lands on a planet made out of whole wheat flour. He cannot plant pumpkins on a planet made of whole wheat flour so he freezes to death in despair.

*yawns*

I had my most common dream last night. Well it's hardly a "dream"... it's just me thinking about problems and figuring out absolutely wacky solutions, forgetting them, then fixing them again in progressively weirder ways. Last night I was concerned about moving later this year, so I had what amounted to a very long daydream about it.

I like these dreams better when they concern programming, because sometimes my mind makes up impossible solutions... and sometimes it makes up practical ones that actually work. The latter often catches me off guard.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

The strangest dreams I've had have all been reading a book that I am reading during the day, but the plot and storyline still make complete sense, and I think thats how the book actually ends. Of course, I then find the book and realize that I'm not done with it, and the story is completely different.

Wrex, why the forum avatar? Are you trying to remind your subconscious how distinct the two are?

First day of school, I had a dream that I was running around at 5:30 am for my bus. I needed to find this connection to the main station, and I found it just in time, but then it didn't stop for me because it was dark (accurately so, I guess). Then all the stars started spinning around and it was pretty scary.

I can't wait!

Wait, I'm posting here before school. break the habit
