Last night's dream gave we a rather hilarious idea for a DnD character. :))

I was playing some tabletop RPG as a dumb-as-shit hobgoblin wrestler who looked a lot like Carol, the big monster from Where the Wild Things Are. He had some bright red suit of armour that buffed his bodyslamming abilities.

I don't think this dream was terribly long, but in the late game of the campaign the PCs had taken possession of some kind of castle/keep, I can't remember exactly what they were doing but my character was more interested in ordering people to get him more shinies, and occasionally jumping off the battlements/towers to land arse-first on prisoners being held in the courtyard below.

Eventually things were getting all dramatic, and the hobgoblin betrayed his party for some reason or other. There was a bit of a battle atop the castle between him and some female elven magic-user, played by some guy who was taking the game far more seriously than I was.
He came at my hobgoblin with whatever powerful magic/martial arts/whatever he had, which seemingly should have killed me quickly- this player had seemingly min-maxed far better than I had- but by some insane fluke of luck I managed to critical the elf with a body slam, breaking her lower spine and causing much annoyance to her player.

My hobgob had some sort of spell cast on the near-dead elf, strapped her into a wheelchair and kept her to be his bride. :o Which worked alright until he went to give her a big hobgoblin-y smooch, she bit him on the face, and he shoved her wheelchair off some high tower of the castle.

Think that was just about the end, don't remember a lot else. It was quite strange/amusing, though. :)

I had a dream where I woke up from sleeping, saw my old tv next to me, with all the cables and jacks unplugged.  I placed them back in, when I realised how dark it was.  I walked to the door, and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge.  I started pulling and hammering on the door, all the while feeling this creepy vibe that I felt when reading Coraline.

I was pretty relieved when I woke up.

Gotta try to write this one down before I forget it completely.

I was abducted by some kind of government agency. They said they knew what I had done and it was useless to resist them. I insisted I hadn't done anything, and they laughed at me and threw me in some kind of cell. I tried to talk to the guard, tried to explain that not only was I innocent, I didn't even know what they thought I had done, and I wasn't being given a chance to defend myself. She just rolled her eyes and tried to close the door. I begged her to stop. What if I had all the money in the world? If I had all the money in the world, could I get out of this prison? She looked suspicious and said well, yes, but you don't have all the money in the world.

I was put in a chair in front of some kind of strange computer terminal. Its purposed seemed to be recording everything with a video and sound recorder, but it had a big monitor which was turned off. With the guard outside the door, I tried to fumble with the machine until at last, it turned on. There was a box that said "insert amount to see games at that price. Warning: entering an incorrect amount off money will result in extra charges." I carefully typed in $5.00 and was surprised to see a list of games come up on Steam. Then I noticed the Steam logo at the top of the monitor. Were they the ones who had arrested me?

They ripped me away from the computer and put me in another room. This one had a window! I looked outside to see a lot of worn-out buildings and a big parking lot. To the side there was a lot of water, like an ocean. On the other side of the buildings I could see a highway! For some reason I still had access to the computer - they told me I could try whatever I wanted but it wouldn't work. Somehow I got Facebook open. I knew they'd be watching everything posted from my page, so the first thing I did was change my name. Then I frantically typed, full of typos, a desperate cry for help, saying I was being held illegally, without charges, in some kind of strange building, and I described the area around me including the highway. Once I hit Post a guard burst into the room and shoved me out of the way. He saw that I had described our location and he got angry. He wanted to kill me, but another man behind him told him not to bother. It was too late. "She changed the rules," he said. "She thought of something new. There's nothing we can do now." He turned his back to me and I ran out the door.

I got on a bus leaving this place. As it passed the building, I saw the window I had looked out of. The building was falling apart. The bus was approaching a bridge (so we were on an island) and it was going way too fast. It swerved partially into the wrong lane, then straightened out and headed for the toll booths at the other end - except we were way bigger than the tollboths, and we weren't slowing down. I squeezed my eyes shut and held on for dear life, but nothing happened. A woman sitting next to me laughed, said that it scared her the first time, too, before she learned that they open the structure to let the buses through.

Now I was on a long path through the woods, trying to make my way all the way home. It was a scary place and I could sense danger all around. Suddenly a figure comes bouncing up over the hill ahead - it's one of the dire wolves from Game of Thrones, the one who got released into the wild (forget the name). I approached her carefully and she licked my palm, then escorted me the rest of the way down the path. Finally we reached the door of my house, and I could see people inside. I called the wolf to come in with me, but she wouldn't go. She turned around and bounded back into the forest.

(This entire dream took place in the 5 minutes between snoozes on my alarm clock - and I've already forgotten most of the details.)

I forgot most of it, but I remember the essential:
It was about me and a (female) friend from my school. We had to perform some swordplay, a re-enactment of a duel from the Trojan war or something, before a public. It was weird.
I know where the element of the dream came from, though. Mostly.
The girl from school is simple: I spoke to her via skype just before bed.
The swordplay... I'd say because of Warframe a bit earlier.
The trojan war is DEFINITIVELY from XCOM. In a multiplayer match the same day, I named my six mutons after Illiad heroes (Achilles, Patrocle, Ulysse, etc...)
As for the public... I have no idea.
Feel free to go all Freud on it. I'm waiting.

Right, surreal crazy dream time.

So I was, for some reason, joining a cult. In my head I knew it was supposed to be for protection of some sort, and I basically had no other choice. Before truly joining the cult I had to go through the initiation process, and so the cult locked me in a room of fiberglass, presumably so the other people waiting in line to join the cult could watch.

First step of the initiation process, they peeled my face off. This is exactly as it sounds, imagine a comical little claw just reaching down and peeling the skin off the face. No pain or anything, because of dream logic it was pretty much just the claw reaching down and boop there goes my face skin. now I could wear a mask of myself, for whatever reason I'd want to do that.

Second step of the initiation was removing my internal organs and replacing them with mechanical stuff. I don't recall this step, I just remember it because I just knew it from dream logic.

The third step was the anal probing. With a cold metal spike. In a fiberglass room being watched by crazy cultists.

Yeah, that was when my brain went "lolnope" and shut down and I woke up.

That was quite a fascinating read. :)
Funnily enough, the part with the bus, and the seemingly impending doom, struck me as quite familiar. In my dreams I'll often have moments where I'm panicking, thinking I'm about to die etc., and then someone will just chuckle at my overreaction to such a trivial thing. Or whatever seemed to be really bad just won't have the same effects as it would in real life.

I was at Walmart with three of my friends at night. We were just walking around not really doing anything. Two of my friends went one way and i went the other way with my third friend. All of a sudden out of nowhere the friend I'm with gets attacked by a demon. I manage to get the demon away and tell the other friends what happened. So we head to the back room and get mp5s and my helmet (apparently we do this on a regular basis but don't usually get attacked). We search Walmart for a while but find nothing so we head back to the friend who got attacked. He tells us he's fine and we split up into teams of two to search the parking lot. I'm with my injured friend and we head out the door (with me really wishing i could say something to the girls that just came in, but we're on a mission). Suddenly over the radio the other two are yelling that they found him and we hear gunfire, so we run that way. Then over the radio "we got him, wait what the fuck? He's melting!" Eventually we decide to leave injured friend at walmart and go get a pizza to celebrate. One of us goes inside to get the pizza, but no one's there, then a demon jumps the counter and attacks him. I jump out of the car and empty my gun into the demon which only annoys him into leaving. Me and uninjured friend load him into the car (his injuries were much more serious than other friend's) and drive off with me saying "Dammit we need better weapons these MP5s don't work!" at which point i woke up.

I had a dream that I had reunited with a Japanese-American girl that I dated for a couple weeks back in 2009 and we had moved to Hawaii for some reason. I don't want to say anything else because I'm still wondering why Ai - that's her name - is on my mind right about now. I will say though that I do miss her and I wish I could reunite with her, but seeing as I don't know how to get in touch with her anymore it's a lost cause.

Some pirate captain abducted me as he sailed down a river. We became the best of friends somehow and then the dream ended.

In my latest dream, I was in a Doctor Who episode.
The Master, played by John Simm, took over a medical facility on some distant planet with some sort of a mind control chemical (?).
I was present in the facility and was exposed to that substance, but, unlike others, I regained control of my actions (even though the Master was able to read my thoughts).
Suddenly, I was teleported on Earth, where I've met the Eleventh Doctor, who told me that Master is trying to get inside my head and advised not to reveal him any vital information that could help him invade Earth (?). After he had left, I went home. I was captured by the Master's henchmen and brought back to the medical facility.
After that, I realized that I've been acting the entire time and that I've got the role because I've won an online contest held by the BBC.
Then, I woke up.

I was in a shitty bar, and the bartender proceeded to tell me the legend of a finnish liquor, which was transported on the backs of polar bears. I then flashed to a point where I was transporting this liquor, where a friendly norse giant, blonde haired and blue eyed (who happened to be quite childlike) was running around and fell through some ice into a frozen lake. I saved him by rolling a giant snowball of snow and soot and stuffing it on his head. This angered the giant, who now had black hair, brown eyes, and pale white skin, as he had become the abominable snowman.

Guess I should stop hitting the WTF thread with these things eventually, so...

Police action on a decrepit church (well, underneath it, anyway) involving capture of hostiles and weird forcefields everywhere, but also the capture/rescue of kittens and, initially, the destruction of cockroaches.

However, once it was noticed that the cockroaches were capable (when thrown with some force) of passing through the forcefields, the dream transitioned into a cockroach capturing dream. It ended with several strange looking cockroaches (some of them, which were trying to lead the others to safety, capable of human speech) trapped under a small plastic bucket, with a few stragglers outside of it being eaten/killed by the mentioned kittens.

What is Zeus's name just happened in my brain?

Something awesome that should be made into an indie video game then sold on Steam.

My dream this past night was of King of the Hill taking place in The World of Darkness. Bobby Hill snuck into a natural history museum and through a string of events was invited to hang out with a coterie of patriotic and overly humane Brujah and Gangrel lead by America's first president George Washington - who was a Brujah - who just wanted to make the United States and the world a better place. He was made an honorary member of their secret society and marked a potential candidate for recruitment when suddenly Hank Hill managed to sneak into the museum and was horrified to learn of the existence of the Kindred until George Washington managed to prove that it was him somehow and sided with these idealists. When I woke up from said dream about twenty minutes ago the song "Public Enemy No. 1" by Genitorturers was playing through my head, which may or may not have some connection to the dream.

All I remember of my dream last night was that it was a crossover between Girl Genius, the Mortal Engines books, and... I don't quite remember the last one.
