our arm is made of darkness. Apparently darkness isn't very filling.

But darkness can bleed- and shape metal.

So it's pretty versatile stuff.

Confusing questions about her anatomy aside, Metis steps forward, bringing a bone handled, mandible great-axe down on the creature in a broad swing.

There's a splat as she neatly chops the creature in two, drawing back the bloody axe and stepping away with a slight stagger, flopping down away from the door.

She looks a piece of meat over as she pulls it from her belt, ignoring her stump dripping blood to try and figure out how to cook this, before she opens her mouth, revealing a number of very sharp, very pointy teeth. She plops a few pieces of meat in, chewing slowly, the meat tasting strangely earthy. After another piece, Metis rests against the wall, breathing in and out slowly as she eyes the new corpse, putting off the butchering for a little bit.

Cheap lighting illuminates this room, showing a small platform suspended by thick, steel supports above a large engine complex. The floor is, and this should come as no surprise, made of cheap metal plating, riveted down by hands long dead. There's railings ringing the edges, as well as a ladder leading down to the engine. A blast door lies to the west, swinging open and blood-stained.

A large bug, about a foot long and thin as a foot. It's dull, grey chitin is weak, missing in places, with a few spines ringing it's head. A few small, vestigial tentacles hang from around it's mouth.

It's stomach looks bloated. Blood rings it's mouth.
It's chopped in half, vertically.

Metis tries to grow a new arm, closing her red eyes and straining. A bit more blood drips from the wound, but nothing happens.

Metis pushes herself to her feet, slipping a single piece of metal over the wound, befre drawing her knife and setting to work cutting scraps of meat from the corpse, slipping it away in her pouches before doing the same to the knife.

After a swift investigation of the light, Metis picks one up and hooks it to her stump, shifting the plate upwards more to cover some other part of her body, stemming the blood with the hexagonal, shield-like light.

Metis hooks her axe to the back, and after some careful maneuvering, illuminates the engine room in a soft, yellow glow. She can't see much, but it's clear there isn't any Bugs down there.
