But if you insist on a turn, They build a farm in AA 50.
And then starve.

hmm. it looks like if no one helps the halfings, they'll starve, but none of us (unless i've miscalculated) have the spare resources to help them on our own. i could give terenos my one food for a tech or something, but he would have no reason to take that unless someone else gave him food too. who wants to join the help a hobbit foundation? (assuming terenos is up for it)

also, before you say you give him a food, make sure you can spare it yourself.

Edit: note that "a tech or something" is serious. he may not have anything but tech to give us now, but food now for something later is another option. halfings by nature produce a lot of food, perhaps he could just pay us back with interest.

Um, just saying how do you go about rolling for the dragon? Do we each get one roll at the start of out turn to see if we are doomed?

I roll a D6 the first time a structure is worked. If I roll a 1, then the dragon comes and then I roll an attack against the tile with a +5 modifier. If it succeeds, the structure is destroyed and its output stolen. After a structure is successfully worked once without a dragon attack, it will always be safe in the future.

The population that needs to be fed is the Population that you have at the beginning of the turn. No Population will starve as long as you have an adequate amount of food at the end of the turn (that is, an adequate amount to feed the population you had at the beginning).

As previously noted, I'm perfectly willing to sell the hobbits some food.

Presuming that I have some measure of good fortune, And the farm does not get raided. I need 1 food. Thats all. one food to feed my hobbits this turn. Then next turn i work the farm and have 6-2 to feed them, 4. Then another turn I have 8. Then i can work on doing some other things.

Technology will not be traded. I understand that my nation is in dire straits right now, but I cannot give up an edge like that. I am however willing to payback 10 food at a later point. Or allow for more favorable trading at a later point.(As i'm generally a fairly hard trader.)
