Goings onThe Dragon destroys a Human fishery. A Kobold fishery is grabbed by giant tentacles from the deep and destroyed. The rubble is pulled deep under the water. A Dwarven farm is destroyed by the Dragon and the plunder is stolen by the Kobolds. Two Hobbit farms are destroyed. The booty is stolen by Kobold thieves.
The time of his reckoning has come. The time of his redemption. He continues hording his treasure out of instinct, but does not pay any attention to or attempt to protect it from the Kobolds anymore; he knows it's a lost cause. The only reason he still keeps the Crown safe is his knowledge of its power (and frustration at his inability to harness it). He wants only to bring suffering and destruction to his enemies at any cost. The Kobolds are so stealthy that even most of their dwellings and facilities are hidden to the Dragon, but their allies are less stealthy. The Dragon will teach the other races what they get when they enable the Kobolds' cruelty. Hobbit farms burn and Dwarven mushroom burrows fill with smoke and ash. The plunder of course finds its way back to the Kobolds via their constant surveillance and burglary of the Dragon, but the Dragon lets them have it.
Meanwhile, the Kobold exploratory navy still has not figured out why they were ordered to survey the waters south of their new territory. They leave behind large supply ships to start establishing fish hatcheries, but rumors run rampant through the navy of missing ships and fisheries. More Kobolds fall into the cycle of insane ramblings that befell the lone survivor of a previous mysterious occurrence.
