You know, sounds good. I think I could even use this as an exercise to improve my descriptions. I've been using maps and stuff as a way out of doing them because I always miss something or use poor wording. Probably one think I should ask myself is: is this NECESSARY? If the answer is no, get to rolling instead.
Update time, let's experiment: no maps, no flashes, no panels, final destination.
Welp, unless someone gets on pesterchum, all I can do at the moment is
>Panic
You flip out so hard you flip all the way back in. Seriously, that is the only conceivable result of this action.
>Jonathan: Put cylinder on the stand part of that thing that the card fit into, start experimenting with the machine until something happens
You put the cylinder on the stand part of the thing the card fits into, and after pressing enough buttons, the TOTEM LATHE carves the burnt-green cylinder into a distinct shape that you could not describe if you tried.
>Penny: Stay patient, keep moving.
You keep moving for another seven or so minutes. This is, of course, about as much walking as you're used to anyway in an enormous mansion. The only indicator that you're getting anywhere is the amount of time between having to turn left decreases a little every few minutes.
[Listening (Mediocre) + 1 = Average] You swear you just heard a faint
CLICK-CLACK in the distance behind you.
