"Something wrong, girl?"

Replenish bird food/water, attempt diagnostics.

You replenish her food and water, but she refuses to drink or eat. (? -2 vs. ?) However, on further examination, nothing seems to be physically wrong with her. Maybe she's worried about something?

"Hrm... Did you see that guy, I wonder? Would be helpful if you could talk. Eh, what time is it... Nine thirty? Mars should be up about now, there was going to be a martian eclipse..."

Are you intending to look at the stars through your telescopic ray? If so, at what? If you desire, you could get +2 on your roll due to Connected to the Stars []. However, it would cost one out of your two Fate Points. (Each Act is started with Fate Points equal to your number of Aspects.)

>Penny: Punch Cruxtrudie dealie in the lid to relieve pent up aggression and also open the damn thing.

You punch your Cruxtruder in the lid and it reels like Glass Joe. Seriously, that was nothing. The lid now open, a glowing, orange-red sprite thing pops out and just sort of hovers overhead:

At the same time, a countdown begins ticking on a small screen at the bottom of the device. 01:31:22, 01:31:21...

Mars. No thanks.

(Stargazing [Mediocre] +0 vs. ?) You look through your telescopic array. Mars looks beautiful yet small tonight. A bit smaller than you'd imagined. Actually, after staring at it for a couple of minutes, it seems to be getting slightly bigger. Maybe it's just you, though.

>Penny: Take Zell Dincht poster off of the wall and chuck it into the glowy thing. Then, head for the roof!

You chuck Zell Dincht, or at least an image of him, into the glowy thing. The thingy flashes, shines and transforms! It now resembles Zell Dincht's head with a long, ghostly tail under it.

SWEET ABSCOND, BRO! You manage to find an access point to the roof upstairs. Heading up to it, you never realized you house was this tall until now. The card is in sight.

You cannot get ye card

Apparently, it was a load-bearing card.
