Welcome, one and all, to the Battlecruiser
Vigilant, home of the 32nd Irregulars. You have signed up with the IA (Intergalactic Alliance) and your memeory is a bit fuzzy. Don't worry, Primer time!
Battlecruiser Vigilant
Constructed 20 years ago, the Battlecruiser Vigilant is a 3.5KM long monster ship, and home of the 32nd Irregulars unit. the ship patch is the Vigilant Eagle, wings spread wide. It may not be original, but it works. The ship also hosts fighter squadrons, Battlemech Lances, tanks, nukes, and anything else necessary to hold a planetary war. Armed with capital-ship size Railguns, Plasma Cannons, Particle Beams, and missiles, and equipped with refineries, nano-assemblers, and hydroponics, the Vigilant is a very dangerous opponent.
The 32nd Irregulars
Made up of leftovers of a races' contribution in soldiers, Irregular units are where one would find the largest variety in races, creeds, governments and beliefs. They can often fufill every role set out for them, from simple rifleman duties to counter-terrorism. Fights resulting in bad blood between races are not uncommon, and aboard any Irregulars' ship, is a pair of ceremonial swords for resolving disputes. The 32nd is a moderately illustrious group, known for the ever-famous Battle of Kath'Azar prison. Their beret colour is a royal purple color.
Galaxies Unlimited
80 years ago, an event unprecedented by anyone was witnessed; every parallel galaxy imaginable and beyond simply amalgamated. This event has never happened before ever. Small rifts allowing one or two people, or sometimes ships, fleets, and at their rarest, planets or systems to mix with a parallel universe or galaxy, but such events were temporary.
The Intergalactic Alliance
Formed 6 years after the Great Amalgamation, the IA is dedicated to keeping order and law within inhabited space. Nearly every race is a member, and provide soldiers towards the IA. Every year, the member races meet at a planet called Gal'Jos, and discuss laws, politics etc. There are currently very few wars being fought by the IA, but stormclouds are brewing...
Another GU-setting game, but this time, about the individuals.
SECTION ROSTER, 8TH PLATOON SECTION 1
Alpha Team
Seco: Cedros Armeni
Name: Cedros Armeni
Race: Human
Role: Melee Combatant, Scout and Section Commander
Weapons: Powered mace; Grenade tagging system [Attached to the suit's hands]; Anti-armor missile launcher [3/3 ammo]; Compound greatbow.
Equipment: Light power armor; Flight and directional rockets system [Attached to the armor, provides flight and agility]; Agressive-passive defense system [Countermeasures]; Failsafe kickstarter [For kickstarting powered armor].
Bio: Cedros was born a human in an universe much too big, in which several races had already far surpassed his own dimension's mankind. His childhood was marked by a healthy curiosity about weapons and armor, and being of a family in the military, he had the opportunity to train close-combat techniques, moving on to gun training as he hit his teens.
Finally entering the military proper, he strived to be a good soldier while keeping bonds with the teams he was assigned, his good performance as a scout causing him to be constantly requisited by other groups and branches. Even if far from a perfect commander, he was considered a good leader by an officer due to the young man's antics and the value he gave to companionship over chain of command, always willing to admit mistakes and errors as well as help his team correct their own.
Even if considered young by military standards, he was given the command of the section as a test, and although some high-ranking officers expect a failure from the experiment, Cedros is convinced there is only way to know for sure, and that is by practice.
Section member: Toltecatle
Name: Toltecatl of the Yuatek River, nicknamed Tol
Race: Cuetzpal (Plural: -li). Most other races refer to them as either Lizard-, Dragon- or Crocodilemen.
Role: Combat engineer
Weapons: DMR, Combat Knife
Equipment: Basic heated combat armor. Toolbox. Long rage transmitter, disassembled, Combat engineer kit.
Team Alpha. Preferably non-commander
Race: The cuetzpal are one of the relatively few reptilian races to achieve space flight. As a result, they don't really fit in anywhere in the Intergalactic Alliance and keep mostly to themselves.
Hailing from a jungle planet, and being cold-blooded, they require lots of heat to stay active. Their body is unable to provide this, so any off-planet Cuetzpal has a heating system underneath or built into his clothing. This system is disabled during night, as they sleep in a 'cold' state, but never removed from the body.
They are not picky about what to eat, and when fish is not available, they can eat raw or rotting meat and fruits. This diet has given them the reputation of having a terrible breath - which is only true for as long as they stay home, really, as the efficient space-ship food doesn't have the slightest hint of smell.
Character: Toltecatl was evicted from his planet after burning down a few hundred acres of forest - a failed experiment with a more efficient heating system he was developing. Knowing he would be seen as outcast in the rest of the universe, his best bet for a bit of recognition and 'humane' treatment was the IA army. It was also the only place that would allow him to do what he loved most: fiddle with machinery.

He has joined the IA to try to find the aliens that killed his brothers; he joined the Irregulars because the different species cooperating reminded him of the Greater Good.

Race Background
When humanity first found the demons, they were terrified. Given that first contact was with a 'Succubus' and a 'Horned Raptor', this was understandable. Naturally, they had never before heard of anything relating to Christianity or the Underworld- but when told of what they resembled, they were amused enough to take the names as their own. Their society is very energy-based. Their diet doesn't take in much energy, and energy is not quickly lost, unless used to mutate. By this- their society is very based on survival of the fittest - with fights to the death being common, and the victor consuming the loser. Upon reaching a certain amount of energy, they evolve to a higher life-form. Naturally, as they gain more energy, more mass, and become larger and smarter, the level of culture increases. Gang wars become political games. Ring fights become ceremonial duels
As a side-note, they are bipedal humanoids, standing usually at around 6-7.5ft tall, with dark red skin. They have four arms, the second housed slightly below, and forward of the top two- although of similar strength. They are all males, with the females developing into either Succubi 'Esm' or Maidens 'Usi'. They also have four slanted eyes, with the lower two being smaller than the top two, and facing more forwards
Character Background
Olt was a commander for a long time in the main army, made up almost entirely by Demons (Jes)- which he himself was. After a string of successful campaigns, his company was reconnoitered by a Lord. This person was new, inexperienced, and arrogant. After making a series of tactical blunders, the Lord ordered a frontal assualt on a fixed position- sure to result in the death of almost the entire company. Jes'Olt was forced to settle the leadership over a duel. At first, it was almost pointless- the size, speed, intelligence and strength of the Lord being naturally superior- However the Lord made another rash, stupid decision- which would prove to be his last. Upon consuming the Lord, Olt himself became a lord, and took upon himself the mask of the fallen- A plain Iron mask.
After serving for a while as personal guard, he requested/was selected to serve in the IA Irregulars:
a) To remove him from the home-world while the details of his insubordination are discussed.
b) To abide by the treaty of the IA (x of the best soldiers per x).
c) As fighting overseas was the only way allow him to begin marking his mask.
He already has his first mark- A dark-purple line going from the corner of his top-left eye to the edge of the mask.
Section Member: Viskjav
Name: Viskjav
Race: Clayoth
Role: Sniper, Bravo Team ()
Weapons:
VR 68 Custom Bolt-Action Rifle
Two Combat Knives
Equipment: Flashlight, 2 Flash-bang, 3 Smoke Grenade, Crystalline Impact Protector, Plated Brown 'Duster' Cloak, Metal Beast Mask
Bio: An orphan who was given to the military upon his coming of age ceremony, there is little of remark in his two hundred and fifteen years of life other then his military achievements in his hundred and eighty years of service in everything from mercenary forces to this regiment of the Irregulars. A distinguished sniper, Viskjav uses a weapon from the dawn of his race's journey into space a thousand years ago, but it is of his own custom design and those who've seen him in action agree that no matter the weapon he'd be just as deadly with it as that rifle.
Visk has a natural affinity with the CIP able to use it far beyond the capability of the average Clayoth, he's able to stop everything from a sniper bullet to a shell from a frigate cannon, but the use of the CIP has an odd side effect on Visk. Unlike his fellow Clayoth who can use the CIP with out any side effect but fatigue, Visk body suffers physical harm when he uses it, the stronger the force he stops the more damage his body sustains to the point that stopping anything bigger then a rocket would cost him his life assuredly. More commonly known as Visk, Viskjav served in the Irregular Vanguard forces for fourty years before being switched to Reconnaissance ten years ago, this is his first big mission since his induction, and he's glad to be doing it.
OOC: @ Kestrel - I felt the CIP was to strong, but I liked the idea of it in conjunction with the race so I just made it so my character (IC) wouldn't want to use it unless absolutely necessary. The power is an overstatement, you can weaken it if you so desire.
OKAY
[spoiler=Clayoth]
The Clayoth started out as part of the human race, abandoned far in the reaches of space when a war was raged between humans and a mostly now devolved race known as the Farlorn. All connections with outside colonies shut-off and their world now in ruins, the atmosphere itself becoming poisonous from a mixture of nuclear radiation, chemical warfare, and the unique Crystal that found its home on the Clayoth Homeworld, Farseer. These remains fled into the depths of the planet where feral beasts made to kill roamed every tunnel and Crystal covered entire walls of caverns, taking home in these Crystal caverns over several thousand years exposed to the poisoned atmosphere, lethal beasts, and the remnants of the Farlorn, the Clayoth emerged from their planet a new race.
They looked human even with a darker skin color, larger more beast like form, and altogether animalistic look they still managed to have a remarkably human form and facial features. Though a foot shorter then the average human they possess a strength and speed that few humans could muster, though now adapted to such a tainted atmosphere they manage to live on all forms of planets with a specialized implant built into them from birth allowing the air they breath to be converted to something suitable for their form. Most Clayoth who venture outside of their empire wear light brown cloaks that cover their entire body and metal mask resembling beasts from their Homeworld, this is due to a religious belief that makes all those who leave home "Hunters". These Hunters are tasked with looking for any sign of the Farlorn, for they believe them to still be out there, and to wipe them out so their existence shall never be noticed.
All Clayoth, whether it be a mutation from the atmosphere of their homeworld long ago or some natural evolution, are Psychic to some extent, they rely on this and an invention from the Crystal the treasure so much. This invention is the CIP (Crystalline Impact Protector), a device made from Crystal, and DNA and blood from a Clayoth's body, these devices are unique to each person though all Clayoth seem to have the capacity to use them to stop projectiles or the like, be it a punch or a bullet. Some are able to use it far beyond that, some are rumored to be able to use the CIP to do unimaginable acts, of course that is just rumors.
