The ship has crash-landed on Bandera, a low-atmosphere barren moon.

The ship is on fire and ready to explode at any moment.

There are 204 passengers.

James is a somewhat short, thick set kind of person. He has a thick, messy head of dark brown hair, green eyes and pale skin. He has rough stubble on his jaw and almost always has smudges of oil and lubricant on his clothes, which is a standard engineer uniform. He also wears a dark red bandana around his neck, which he sometimes wears around his forehead to keep the sweat out of his eyes.

Ehndras is a man who values logic, reason, knowledge, and wisdom over the many faiths and social hierarchies of Man. For all the complex systems Humans have designed to keep their fellow Man in check, none is more important to him than Reason. He is a highly-methodical scientist who puts results before anything, though he hides a compassionate side few have ever seen. He is a good leader and skilled orator, despite being a scientist - having risen from a military family.

Ehndras is an emerald-eyed intellectual who sports a mane of midnight black that tumbles to his mid-back, tied in a ponytail as best as one can manage. His stylish glasses are the only thing strikingly off about his otherwise normal appearance in a sterile labcoat, white gloves, and white shoes.

Why dont you just...make it bigger? Without blurring? Personally I have always doubled the stuff I have made for forum games, generally still looks decent.

Name: Nicholas Richards
Occupation: Head researcher of a chemical laboratory
Class (in society): Mid-Upper Class, well-known in physical sciences, otherwise not known well at all
Physical Description: Nicholas is a very tall, heavyset man, with very pale skin, a clean-shaven face, purplish-gray eyes and thick, short white hair. His green-tinted safety/prescription glasses correct the vision problems he is plagued with, to a degree, though nothing can completely remove the effects of his lack of any real eye pigment, leading to minor photosensitivity, major if he is without the special tint that his glasses provide, which blocks out most of the light that triggers it. He wears an immaculate white suit with a black shirt and white tie, gloves, dress pants and black dress shoes.
Mental Description: Nicholas is a very logical man, who's emotions are not sparked from anyone around him, through natural empathy or from being prodded about it. He is quite awkward, and rarely even speaks his mind among those who are not very well known to him. He, even as a scientist of a very high degree, isn't completely trustworthy of things such as radical genetic engineering on Humans, leading to him refusing a treatment that would have mitigated his albinism. He also quite enjoys a minor interest in old philosophy.
Background (optional): Nicholas never had much credit among his peers, both from his albinism and social awkwardness, the latter being fed from the initial rejection of him from the former. Nevertheless, the logical man got past it, learning early not to care what others thought of him; he went on to complete one of the highest degrees in the physical sciences and open a chemical research company, with him as the head researcher.

Physical Description:
A man of rather average height Jim has always had a mildly handsome face though marred somewhat by a set of two scars on his right cheek. His hair is brown and comes down roughly to his eyebrows, his eyes are a dark green similar to the leaves of some trees. Seemingly born with a muscular build Jim has had one nearly his entire life and had to work very little to keep it that way. His face is covered by rather scruff looking beard that manages to hide the scars on his cheek, but isn;t quite a full beard.
Mental Description: Rather cheerful even through the tough life he lived, Jim tries to remain optimistic no matter the circumstances. He is quite kind, and caring to the living but he is rather emotionless when it comes to the dead, comes with the profession he says, after all the machines he makes and maintain kill people.
Background:
Born as an orphan Jim grew up among many other kids who had suffered tragedy, forgotten by their parents, or having lost their family. Even with this Jim was happy, he had many other kids and the workers at the orphanage for a family. At a young age he displayed a near genius level of intellect, learning to read a year before the fellow children of his age, being able to his times table at six, and much more.

As his life went on he fell in love with the idea of robotics, but not just any robotics, military robotics. He wanted to be a Military Robotics Engineer when he grew up so he could protect those he cared for. Studying hard day and night he earned the notice of the Military's Robotics section at the age of sixteen and was recruited at the age of eighteen when he left to the orphanage in an attempt to help raise money for things it needed, and make life easier there for those he considered family.

At first things seemed fine, he breezed through the courses on robotics, and displayed a particularly good finesse when repairing the machines of war, but one day everything went wrong. The orphanage burnt down due to lack of gas line upkeep by the government in the area. Blaming himself for it he grew distant from others, but continued his work, for he had nothing else to work towards. Now here he is, stranded on a desolate moon ...

The year is 1056 Common Era, with the point origin of this era being
of when Earth first united as a single governance, a single entity.

Centuries before this time, humans had spread as far
as Pluto, furthermore on the verge of interstellar travel.

Over a thousand years later, humans inhabit hundreds of planets,
colonizing and terraforming. Traveling between stars is as easy and
affordable as in our current time it is to travel around the earth by plane.

The earth is a city-planet with towering buildings and very few
locations of wilderness in exception to large nature reserves.

Atmospheric planets are inhabited and those without atmosphere
often have colonies of engineers and scientists who caretake
of terraforming projects, projects that span over decades of years.

Smart Robotics and Cloning are things of reality, trillionaire parents
practically "design" their children. Robotics has advanced so far
that they only thing stopping them from becoming human are laws,
whereas they have been limited to The Three Laws.

Politics and Intrigue are commonplace and commonknowledge at this
point, where small sects of vigilantes roam free and mercenaries
take coin for the highest payer.
The wars of history were on battlefields, then streets. In the common
era, they take place between small parties of lesser men paid
by the greater men, where the law is in the hands of the smartest,
richest and most well-connected man.

The one-world-government has long since splintered into a more
feudal system where collectives of planets are ruled by single,
recognised politicians and well-controlled mercenaries.
All of which aspire and answer to the Earth President who governs
all - the game of who is in power being forced behind curtains
and alibi's.

Discuss amongst yourselves what could, should and would happen
by any decisions you might or might not make. Work as a team to
survive and escape Bandera.

Form a hierarchy and choose someone to arbitrate decision conflicts,
or splinter off and work on your own to your own ends.

When you've made your decision as to what to personally do this turn,
post it.

Initially, You will need to feed, drink, sleep and breath. Once you are
stable, you can work towards escaping the planet, calling for help -
gregariously if you are wise - or continue to live and flourish amongst
yourselves.

If you starve, dehydrate, suffocate, or any other way possible, to death,
then you're dead and left from the game - lest you have a cloning facility
available.

As the game develops, things may happen to you that you cannot control.
I may inflict you with Cabin fever, inducing a paranoia that you will need to
roleplay, for example. Or a sickness from malnutrition that may leave you
as a bedridden third leg.
Or, god forbid, you may develop Pandorum.

Working together to mutually survive, or using your fellow survivors as
disposable resources to claim your own personal form of escape - this is up to you.

Privacy/meta-gaming
If for example the group were to agree on radio silence as to not attract
unwanted attention from space, yet you think it is a good idea, you can
go ahead and set up your own radio signal. Whilst you are publicly
posting this, the others may know about it in reality, but in-character,
they can not know about this, or work towards discovering it.

This is called meta-gaming, where you use out-of-game knowledge
that your character would not know of.

However, if a character were handling a radio device and found your
signal, then they would have discovered your treason.

In addition, you can store/build things in a private location that goes
along with the above rule.

Chapter 1
Stranded

One by one, stragglers make their way to the last remaining suits
that haven't been damaged beyond use and suit up, still battling
against the heavy abuse on their senses by the emergency system
and the hellish chaos around them.

All passengers are trained in emergency procedures upon boarding
the interstellar ferry and as a result, successfully make their exit of
the ship and onto the dusty and barren rock of a planet outside.
Seven survivors painstakingly make their escape to a safe distance
from the burning wreckage. As each makes their escape at different
intervals from the lowered ramp that is the exit, a string of seven bobbing
humanoids stretch out across the surface of the planet.

The sixth survivor turns about to see the seventh behind him,



Only to look on in horror as the Vidraela explodes.



With heavy hearts and thoughts of those souls lost - some greater
affected than others - the remaining six look to each other, wordless and lost.

Event
You recall that this planet was marked for terraforming
a few decades ago.
You remember reading that the colony was found abandoned
and in ruin by a cargo ship - a supply ship that visits every
year to deposit supplies that a terraforming colony does
not, by standard, produce - on their visit.
The colony was investigated but to no avail and was
later brushed under the carpet and abandoned, the case
left cold and to this day is a mystery.

How far or in what direction this colony is however, is not
to your knowledge.

Lukas fortunately hadn't known anyone aboard the vessel, he'd talked with a couple of interviewers but otherwise he trained physically in isolation. Completely detached emotionally he could only look on in awe at the explosion from the vessel, salvaging materials would be futile he thought, he also considered the merits of being a sociopath, clarity of thought, funny, in that sense I'm probably the most sane person here. Looking at the faces of his companions through their visors he couldn't help but be intrigued, not often you saw emotion quite as intense, with glee Lukas pulled his face into his best sad face, it looked pretty convincing, he'd been practising looking sad for some time.

After a few minutes of quiet Lukas decided to start introducing himself to the others and projects his voice loudly. "'tis an awful shame what happened today, those who died will be missed but we shouldn't dwell on events out of our control too long" Lukas congratulated himself on the authentic sound he thought his words carried "What purpose do each of you have here and what do you know about this planet? Knowing what we're up against will be vital soon I'm sure. I myself was visiting family on Triton IV to collect my inheritance money"

"Completely unconvincing. I may lack normal empathy, but you seem far beyond that. If you weren't, you wouldn't have just pulled that face after you looked at us, it would have been there already. Besides, it seems a little too... perfect.

And I was returning from an inspection of a new laboratory my company established on Altair IV."
