Well looks as if we have cinnabar, if anyone is a fan of red? Personally I prefer using gneiss/marble for my constructions

Well screw the RP I'm not doing that this time around lol. Or pictures. Here's the save:

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=6820

I've dug another section of floors out - Follow the pattern if you want, it's pretty high density, or not.

Goomba, You're a mechanic. Who also loves cats. You have about fifteen of them now and you're moved into the first house. I dug myself a nice little tomb. I hit a vein of cassiterite so we have tin now. Also cracked open the first cave. Native gold was in there. No good weapon metals, sadly.

All right. First up: the Me Corner!

Good news: I'm awesome (and apparently sexist)!

Bad news: I'm obese. At least I'm good with a hammer.

I humbly recommend that we put some of that zinc to good use and make a zinc pipe section, and also queue up a green glass corkscrew (we have sand and coal). Then we'll make an underground cistern that gets water pumped from the river by willing dwarves such as myself. A side-effect will be that anyone with Pump Operating enabled (which I should get) will rapidly lose weight. Don't tell anyone

Next up, the lovely architecture of this fortress.

That devious Pufferfish has given himself a private tomb!

Luckily, my house is suitably wondrous. Here it is:

I even have a basement! Oh, and there's also a trade depot. If you want to cross the river you'll need to go through the fort because there's no bridge But there's no way to get to the fort from that side of the river either. This may make us miss out on future caravans so take note!

This is just a little balcony by the stairway, with a pile of useless crap and furniture. We also have one artifact, a highwood chest decorated with highwood. Not too impressive but I still want it

Here are some little farm plots. We're doing very well for food.

Also note the sand: glassmaking, people, glassmaking! We have the technology! And there's a very nice pre-existing glass furnace downstairs!

These are just some of our many identical, sparse bedrooms. Maybe we should furnish them.

This looks like a food processing complex. It probably is, against all logic. We're good for barrels due to my awesome trick of getting a bunch of single meat items (each with their own barrel).

This picture has been edited for clarity, these rooms are all actually pretty far apart. It's our industries! We have, of course, a perfect early-game metal-making setup but no useful metals. Curse you, RNG! Also, more bedrooms and a dining room.

That's all for now. We've also reached the first cavern layer, but have yet to pierce it in any meaningful way. Fun times!

All right everyone back the FUCK up, now! I have a cat and I'm not afraid to use it!!

Sorry it took me a day and a half to pick up the save, but I shall begin as of now, posting to hold space for future update(s).

EDIT: I have begun and am currently in mid-spring, tomorrow should be a faster day... hopefully

All right, year 2!

GoomaGeek's on vacation for a week, according to another thread of his, but I'll try to keep the ball rolling.

I look forward to your contributions, NedeN.

I wonder if you can get in as a cat?
Eh. In as a male dorf miner. But I don't have the time to run a turn, so no turn for me.

All right, next turn goes to Wrex. Goomba will update the list when he gets back to show that.

EDIT: the. Coins were for melting down to help train a metal crafter for proper use of the gold ore.
