is there a mod that adds missing child tags?

It grieves me deeply that dragon eggs will not hatch. Is there a mod that fixes reproduction tags for dragons and all the other creatures, and nothing more?

People usually tune such things on their own and don't post them here.
You seem to know how tags work so why don't you do this yourself? Dragons and other megabeasts are located in creature_standard.txt I believe.

It'd be easier to do it in one shot, in much the same way that it's easier to use a text replacement program to remove aquifers all at once instead of manually editing each stone entry.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

True, I know what needs to be added for dragons.
There are quite a bit of other decision making though. Will aquatic monsters claim the underwater nestbox? What should be the ages of childhood? Do we need any additional stages? Do we need to modify the growth rate? some creatures lack the reproduction tags altogether(not evel egg layer). What should be values there? It would also be unpleasant to miss some poor creature and discover it 10 or 20 years into the fort...
Maybe those are not a big issues, but if someone have done it before - why rediscover Americas?

I searched for something like this as well, and no one has made it so far. So, if you are interested, please go ahead :)

Perhaps suggest it over at the modest mod thread? seems like a "bugfix" style thing

Its pretty easy to edit in the missing child tags yourself. Takes only a few seconds per creature, and I'm sure you can write a script to have it do all of the raws all at once.

Only problem with this is that it seems to require a worldgen. I've had mixed results of doing this after a worldgen.

Some creatures also require gender first. Fire imps, for example, have no gender, so if you want to breed fire imps you need to add in both the child tag and also give them gender.

Yes, you need to add the child tag, the child name, a child sprite, graphic files for each, change the bodysizes, so kids are smaller, see if a creature is a mammal of should be an egglayer, and add castes/genders to those that miss it.
