Amon Saqui is the sixth son of Rathan and Elise Saqui. All his older brothers became soldiers or riders and Amon himself is no different here, hoping to continue his family's traditions.
Saqui family members were 'good' mercenaries since the last century - employed by merchants and lords alike to protect their houses or families form danger during long voyages and celebrations. However, they're never been affiliated with any sort of troop or country.
Amon is on the beginning of his 'journey' - a part of life when a young Saqui leaves the family house and perform deeds on his own, before returning to homestead and being considered 'ready' for mercenary tasks.
There's one other quirk of the Saqui family, one that's rooted deeply in it's history: The 'first' mercenary Saqui, Adrian (Amon's greatgreatgrandfather), struck down a powerful rebel mage, who, with his last breath, placed a curse on Adrian and his family, leaving them vulnerable to Anima magic.

Spoiler: My own FE avatarmaking rules of sorts (click to show/hide)

1. Grab armor/torso part you want, erase head carefully, but leave neck.
2. Grab head piece you want, erase rest carefully. Dark-orange-brown line from side to side of the head is best border, imho.
3. Transplant face onto new neck and armor. Not all combinations are possible cuz of different head/neck sizes.
4. Work with few palettes: Armor, hair and undershirt worked for me.
4a. Colors should be very dark color, dark color, bright color. Too much bright colors and it gives glowy feeling.

I've done Amon's portrait in MSPaint in 30-40 minutes
On other hand, I've made maybe ~10 avatars in my life, so
Of course accessories, long-hair and such can greatly increase difficulty. Never made one with those that would look neat.
