My fortress Moldath is currently under a double goblin ambush and a mini tantrum spiral. I have a challenge for all worthy forumers. Play my save, stop the spiral and end the invasion. (I use the Ironhand tileset so you'll have to update the saves for whichever one you use, you can do that by going into the LNP tileset section and clicking update saves)

Questions: What is the extent of the goblin advance? Assets, Militarily? Fort design? Remaining dwarves?

Dwarves are running around on the surface and we had to close our gates. It's pretty bad.

I'm gonna take a look at it, I am not like a forum guru by any means, I am just bored and this sounds like a total disaster so I am curious. No promises. Download is very slow.

OK...I loaded the game up and checked it out briefly but I really need to get some real life things done til tonight (if I knew what was good for me I would be looking for a job instead of posting this).

Sooooo....I don't know how much luck I will have but I will play it sometime tonight and see what I can do. The only good news is there are only 13 goblins on the map.  BUT you have a LOT of very unhappy dwarves.  You have 15 military dwarves with absolutely NO armor and two weapons between them. One of which is a wooden sword. You don't have any food, ingredients, or proper bedrooms. You have a staircase that is wide open to the caverns.  But, I said I would try so I will try

Ok I'm trying this.

The ambush is gone. I ordered everyone inside, and opened the gates. I expected the goblins to follow and hit the traps. But they seem to have just wandered off when there were no more easy targets. Most of the citizens caught outside made it in.

 The food and drink situation is dire, but I've set up a bunch of farm plots, ordered the gathering of wild plants, qued some drink production, and ordered the making of some meals out of the most plentiful seeds.

The other problem is that about 1/3 of the population is miserable. But for some reason about 1/4 of them are ecstatic.

Current pop is 125 (down from 134 at start?). Sadly several of the losses beserk dwarves I had to make the militia put down.

ARGH! DF crashed. So i lost my proggress, such as it was.

Things were getting very bloody anyway. There was another ambush. Some goblin lashers and spearmen got inside the walls while I was letting in an elven caravan.
