The russian flag on the Orthodox cross makes me sad. There are millions of non-russian Orthodox people. Like me.

Nuclear symbol flag. My support of the world ending in fire must be noted.

And somethign for the martian space program we have here on bay12,

Thanks for the offer, but I want to figure out what I'm doing wrong at this point. I just need to remember how to not fuck up the layers and actually move multiple ones around. I knew how to do this once, since I made my avatar with it. I remember it being extremely obtuse, like all things in paint.net.

At this point all I've managed is stretching the flags or moving some ethereal boundary instead of the actual image.

This shouldn't be hard. Just expand the canvas size to way too big, line them up alongside each other so they're touching (that's the blue "Move Selected Pixels" arrow, not the white one), then crop back down until you only have the flags.

Does Mars have an official flag? I'd like to show off my extra-terrestrial ancestry.

As I said earlier in this thread and several months ago, the Stranger In A Strange Land flag is definitely one of the better Mars flags.

Alright, I need to know: How in the flying hell do I change the selected layer? I'm almost got this thing finished, but I can't touch it up if I can never move any of the previous layers again.

Is your layers window open? If so, just click the different layer to select them. If not, press F7 (or go to window -> layers).

That was the first thing I tried. It is hellbent on remaining on the current layer.

Why are you using layers? Mine was all done on one layer in Paint. Are you just being stubborn, or overthinking this, or what?

Paint.net is reliant upon layers. Using MS Paint didn't go well. I don't know what the damn problem is, by all means this should work.

What's not to get about paint? Just resize the canvas to the size you want, plop in your flags and call it good. That's all I did.

Use an image editing program to merge more than one into a single image.
