Okay! Lets get started on his fortress then. and dont take it hard if your fortress 'loses.' its not really a competion. and its a bit more likely your save will get the vote now that we're all on a level playing field

Seems like a plan there doomxorz.  I'll be taking my loss on round one gracefully, and beginning my playthrough of the 8-bit view of paintmuscle on Sunday.  (I'm a man of order, but if the scheduling is altered, so be it.)

lol awesome.

I was afraid they'd start tantruming before I got beds set up. In previous forts I've had to expand the lava feeds and it's been a major pain. I figured I'd go big right from the start.
I'm hoping Interesting Things start showing up, though it needs a new entrance and a more secure trade depot.

Sadly I forgot to mod the root raws after installing a tile set, so we don't butcher goblins and animal-men and such. It turned out to be 100% vanilla.
The tile set is Ironhand, the lazy noob pack can revert it to ascii or install something else if you want.

EDIT
I'd like that haunted volcano to play with at some point. I spend 20 minutes trying to generate one :P

You have made me very happy, I've been wanting to play with "friendly" goblins for a while :D

I believe next thursday is indeed the goal.

Don't know if I'm going to make it with an update this week, don't let that stop the rest of you!
I have three computer hardware reviews and some light fixture upgrades to contend with here.

College looms near for this dwarf, but I'll be sure to make your fort prevail Bobnova!  After all, you'd get mad if someone would ruin a masterwork fortress!  *quickly boots up Dwarf Fortress*

Edit:  Got a little progress done on the fortress...  and was frightened at the lack of dwarves...  I thought there were MORE of them...  in any case, getting a migrant wave before I called it a night.

The fortress seems to be called Paintmuscle if you want to add that to the title.

Btw, I sure everyone else who is playing has better luck than I do :/

I went with a genuinely random title. It's short on boats, murder, towers, digging, and so on, but it has that wonderful dorfish "What the hell?" factor :D

In my books, I'd be completely willing to say otherwise!  It was a fair bit of competition for the fort.

Anywho...  if I somewhat miss the deadline, forgive me...  I just had quite a few unseen interventions that kept interrupting the task of playing Dwarf Fortress.  Anywho...  once my computer finishes its messy defragmentation, I'll get right back to it!  (only halfway done since 11 hours ago...)
