Apparently this power is of the annoyingly literal-minded and context-insensitive kind. As in, if we named a boat "Titanic" it'd grow bigger, not collide with an iceberg and sink.

and search a small cave or a pit and name it Vault of the Erebus, turn around and look what riches are waiting for you

Well.. If we named something titanic, then it would be from the adjective titanic, which is to mean large. If we wanted a boat to sink, we'd have to say something like Water-logged boat or something along those lines.

Generosity does not mean stupid. It would be stupidity to simply hand out artifacts to anyone who asks. Perk 1 is my perk of choice.


I suggest we find new clothes and make them more protective, but breathable. Ten dorfbucks says the DM is going to start applying fatigue penalties of some sort if we don't

Perk 2

Go to the Wizard library
Grab a generic book
Name it "the book of secrets"
Read what it says afterwards

Name another book : The book of Lies
Name another book : The book of Truth

Perk 2.

Go to the Wizard library
Grab a generic book
Name it "the book of magical secrets"
Read what it says afterwards
Rename the wizard with the most valuable artifacts "X the Generous" and ask for a few.
Open the geode, seeing as we can't rename it.

Go to the snr wizard- rename him "x Questgiver" and ask what's on his mind.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

What if instead of transformation, an Appellomancer's main power was divination - bringing secrets to light? So for example an Appellomancer would know that a princess has a thing for her father and that a young man is haphazard with his hygiene.

"How did you know?" Habyar asked.

"As the first appellomancer, Verschränkung, taught; until the geode was named it both did and did not contain an emerald," the appellomancer replied smugly.

Habyar shook his head and let the matter drop... Wizards.

Go to the river running through the middle of town. Spend a few hours picking up various river rocks and naming them whatever.

Return to town after a few hours with enough power to actually do anything.

Wait, can you name parts of things separately? For example, try this:

Go up to some slob's stupid hovel. Name the hovel "House that Wards Away Pests". We should see a couple little bugs come crawling out at least. Then name the door "Door that glows a little bit". Does it work?

Then try this: go up to a tree and name it "Sweet-Smelling Tree" and name one of its leaves "Shitty Shit-Smell Leaf" and see what happens.
