Jurial will continue along, making sure to stay in the middle of the group. He'll prepare his Rail-gun (Rail-gun as in, a rifle that shoots beams, or...?) in-case bad things pop up.

Warding Color: Goldenrod ((Special code, not the type-able one.))

((Also, recorded wolfchild's lightcube since he forgot.  :P))

Ariel felt a tinge of joy to see her wards working up again, giving off the pristine light of the fires. The peace was shattered soon enough, as most things would be, by the call to battle.

She was sure that Falken had the situation under control - if not the higher ranking delvers, anyway.

Move towards where Falken indicated, spear at the ready for a counterattack, searching for veins of float stone.

Falken grabs the spear he wants to throw quickly and without looking, and with one swift motion hooks it to the reel. 6->4 He tosses the spear and listens to the reel pay out. The slim wooden shaft arcs into the darkness and hits the thing's eye.

5+3+0 vs 5
= 3 damage

The spear sticks out of the creature's eye, but it doesn't seem to care. It slowly starts to slither towards Falken, even though it doesn't have any visible means of locomotion.

Eric  sets three sentries in the air. However, he didn't arm them, so they just float there. Sentries need to be armed with either one of the default weapons (a weak light pistol, a weak crossbow, or a small shadow bomb launcher) or one that Eric can buy.

Jurial prepares his railgun. He remembers that a railgun is a long-barreled weapon with a simple grip and an extensive recoil system including a thickly padded stock and an optional contraption to let the railgun be set on the ground. It has huge recoil and can only be used once, and fires a tiny projectile that nevertheless is destructive and as good as larger weapons, if not for the one-use part. Apparently, the high speed of the railgun projectile destroys the barrel in one go.

Quara calls up the lightcubes' feeds, and watches three sentry feeds pop up. The specialized sensors of the sentries detect a number of low creatures that have many legs coming from the right of the dark creature.

Parker shouts into his mike, "Light pistol on dark creatures! You idiots!"
He seems to have lost his calm...

Quara can choose to pass on or not pass on Parker's message.

Ariel 2 moves towards Falken, then fumbles with her spear and drops it. The spear rolls off into the dark.

Ariel looks around, but the bright light of the Cube combined with her lack of any special ability to detect veins, and the far-away walls makes it hard to see anything at all.

Smiling, Falken yelled to the rest of the team:
"I got it stirred up, light pistols now!" he said, mentioning their training.

Switch the simple spear for a light pistol and shoot at the monster.

A slight yelp came from Ariel as she heard her spear clatter off into the darkness. To make matters worse, whatever light pistol everyone was talking about wasn't with her!

She had to have some sort of defense!

Activate Shield Discs! Set on over to Falken, and one to self!

Find yon banded spear!

Attempt to pinpoint the other hostiles

"I already told the team to do it, it is one of the basics!" Falken says as he switches weapons. "Light them up!" he roars, his spaded tail swinging in excitement.

Falken retrieves his spear (1) swaps it for a light pistol (2) and fires it at the dark monster (3).

With a tinny fwhit a light beam arcs out from the pistol, but

6->1 the short-lived radiance of the bolt flies wide of the tall, one-eyed thing. It slithers forward a bit more, and a crossbow bolt flies into its eye from behind Falken. It hesitates.

Spinal Taper sets up one sentry with a weak light pistol, and the other with a crossbow caster. He isn't Swift enough to set up the third one.

The light pistol sentry fires at the dark. 2 It misses.
The crossbow casting sentry also fires. 6->5

3 * 1.5 vs 1
= 3 damage

The spinning bolt catches the monster in the eye, too, but is swallowed in the body of the creature.

((Really, post your character sheet. :S Last warning, from next turn on I'm going to assume you have no stats in anything and have nothing at all :D ))

Ariel 1 sets the two shield disks spinning right into Falken's head, and the other one into her chest.

The wards sparkle, and 1+1 Ariel takes 2 points of damage. Falken is unharmed thanks to his ward.

Flustered, she runs into the shadow just beyond her cube 6->1. As soon as she steps into the shadow, she feels her foot being caught and held by ... something. Something clammy, solid, and which raises goosebumps all over her skin.
She notices her spear sitting in the darkness just out of her reach, mocking her and daring her to take another step into the darkness.

Quara's lightcube shifts a beat too late and illuminates the ground beneath Ariel. Some half-transparent tendrils have formed from the ground and looped around her foot, burying it. They quiver under the light but don't retreat.

4 She scans the feeds from the cubes and notices Jurial, a Warder, neglecting to set them up.

Quara 3 notices that two of the three sentries are now under direct control of SpinalTaper the extractor. She can't control them and use them to see the other foes anymore. The final one that's left pivots at her bidding and quickly scans the entire surroundings but doesn't pick up any other enemies.

Parker is staring into his lighthouse's main screen and looking aghast.

Meanwhile, she notices that Joker is looking quite calm and standing ready to defend the team from the two spider-like things that were approaching. Actually, scratch that "calm" part—he's grinning quite widely.

Jurial 5 stows his railgun in his inventory, plucks out a spear (1) and runs up to the dark creature and stabs it.

6->6->6->5 + 2 vs 5
= 21 / 2 = 10 damage.

He puts all his force behind his powerful jab and pieces the thing through. He braces himself against the dark creature and removes his spear, and retreats back...only to notice that (1) the "wound", which was just a slightly differently colored part of the thing's body, healed halfway, and (2) his feet were tied down.

Parker is facepalming. He mutters something about "Warder trying to act as a Reeler", "Running into the embrace of the tiger without realizing it's the tiger's den," and generally feeling depressed.
