Jurial will grumble something about midgets, useless companions and everybody-following-everybody, and set out! Tap the walls gently every twenty seconds or so with a spear, just loud enough to make a noise, while walking forwards.

Can you give a slight description of what the place is like where we are? Thanks!

"Found floatstone dust up ahead," Asari said, heading towards it. "The solid stuff shouldn't be far off."

Head towards dust, send searcheyes out around it.

Falken smirks, walking alongside Asari. "Let's just move towards the target and get done with this mission."

With no enemies in sight and floatstone nearby, the completion of their mission drew nearer. In fact, it was a suprise Quara had been wounded and the Pathfinder had gone missing...It wasn't supposed to be so dangerous, after all.

Move towards the area with Floatstone dust, leading the way.

"Finally."
Have the miners mine after the searcheyes find the glowstone.

Ariel follows Asari.

4 She sends her searcheyes and quickly finds the small nodule of floatstone, buried around two meters deep. It seems to be the size of two fists, and traces of cracks and scratches in the rock around it tell her that it was artificially implanted, confirming it as their objective. She tells Eric.

Falken walks up to the wall Asari's searcheyes are floating around. He kicks the ground and watches little dust motes float upwards. It seems that is floatstone. The bluish particles slowly slowly rise up, from his legs to his chest-height, to his eye-height, to over his head, and eventually stick to his lightcube. It feels quite calm right now.

Eric 4 slowly digs into the rock, ordering his sentry to man the gun. It will take two turns to mine all the way to the floatstone. The rock shrieks as the metal bits of the drill spin and chew into it. Rock powder mixed with water is spewed out from the hole. The monotonous sound of wrecking rock echoes through the cavern.

On the other hand, it feels like there's a rumbling that isn't caused by his drill. It's slowly growing in magnitude. Feels like a train underneath the rock. It might just be him, but the shadow around the light bathing them seems to shrink, or tremble, and the night is looming, oppressive, dangerous. It might just be him, but his lightcube dimmed. It might just be him, but the drill's sound has taken on an urgency, as if the mechanical, magitech circuits of the sentry detect something the dull humans haven't have.

Falken, Ariel, and Asari feel something like a hand gripping their chests, tightening and threatening to burst.

Jurial looks around. They are in multiple pools of calm yellow light that is illuminating a smooth rock floor. There is a wall, where Eric's sentrybot is working to extract their objective. The space around them is roughly open, with the wall being flat. The cavern seems to widen here again, become a T-junction, or maybe end.

"Do lightcubes get weaker...naturally?" Ariel said, holding her spear at the ready while guarding Asari.

Falken grits his teeth and grips his spear tightly. "This sounds like trouble. Prepare for combat, take a defensive formation near the floatstone and inside the light."

The Reeler's eyes started to scan the area throughly. Danger was afoot once again...

Keep ears perked up and try to discover where the sound is coming from.

Turning towards Falken, Ariel spoke. "What about the rest- Quara and the others in the team. They're lost and idling about!"

"Quara is in the lighthouse...Wait." Falken says, raising one of his hands before turning towards Joker's general direction. "Joker, please protect our group's stragglers. It seems something big is coming, and we can't keep trying to defend our less bright members."

Addendum Action: Talk to Joker.

"That's not good..."

Send out searcheyes, see if I can find the source of that rumbling.

Ariel gets into a ready stance 3.

Eric 5 unlocks his railgun and activates it. It vibrates in his hand, shuddering on. He gets a x2 to the damage roll.

Falken 2 can only tell that the sound is coming from everywhere at once. It's probably because it's so close that all the rock is being affected and transmitting the sound, too. Joker shrugs and raises his spear. He 2 takes a normal ready stance and slips over to Jurial, seeming to not raise his feet from the ground while walking.

Jurial 6->2,4,1= 1 pt to Spears (skill). Joker appears from nowhere and stands behind him.

Asari 3 sends out a searcheye (having 0 Swiftness and thus only one action), but it finds nothing but the long rock corridor, and the dimly lit Lighthouse at the end.

3 The floor immediately outside the area lit by the lightcubes starts to grow upwards into a mound of darkness. It keeps rising. Around three independent mounds can be seen.

1 turn left until Eric's sentry finishes drilling.

"Well, that's interesting..."

Practice with naginata while waiting for the mounds to fully emerge.

((AHA!))

"I think the problem will emerge when the drill stops. Meaning, it's right under the drill."

Practice Spear-usage while waiting for the drilling to stop. Inspect drilling-area.
