I have the perfect song for this fort:
(sung to the tune of "row, row, row your boat")

Kill, kill, all your friends,
each and ev'ry[sic] one of them

now if only I could think up of the rest of the lines...

And hey, fps rose from 4 to 12 from all the death.  That's good, right?

So, if you have a mixed biome where only part of the map is haunted and that part is reanimating, does that make the whole map reanimating?

My understanding is that only bodies/parts resting on the haunted portion will reanimate.  Unless you get a necromancer actively coming in and raising things.
That is correct.  Anything dying on the happy side (relatively) will stay dead

I must say, this is quite an entertaining run so far. Horrorfailed is certainly living up to its name.

My understanding is that only bodies/parts resting on the haunted portion will reanimate.  Unless you get a necromancer actively coming in and raising things.
Doesn't necessarily have to be on the surface either. Things directly underneath the evil section will also get up and move around. So, theoretically, if you wanted to make something like a room inside the fortress that processes corpses into zombies to be caged and shot out of cannons, you could.

Ah, yes, I thought something was amiss. Now I see. There's not enough terrible things in the lakes.

Soulslicerjames cancels create song: interrupted by dwaven axe murderer.

I didn't create it just now, It's been banging around in my head for at least 5 years.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
We're all going to Hell!

Eh, even without the fact of how going to hell is merely a vacation in DF, that just doesn't fit with the first half.  The way it's sung, it's meant to drive the listener towards omnicidal madness.

Better, though I'll always have a subconscious drive to find the perfect lines to end it.  Biggest problem is the lack of rhyme, though I must ask where you think merriness comes in.

What's not merry about omnicide?

Bloodily, viciously, horribly brutally --
This is how it ends.
