I hardly found your post racist. America eat big. Mind you, so do Canadians. And whilst 30 to 35 may be the technical middle age, to be fair, emotional middle age crisis tends to happen between 40 and 55, depending on the person. That, and I guess, physically, a 30 year old does not feel middle aged. Just look at some of the tennis players like Federer, Ferrer and especially 34 year old Tommy Haas.

This is coming from a Scot, who also have an obesity and binge drinking problem in the country.

Name: Dominic
Health: 30/30
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Description: White male, brown-blonde messy hair. Delinquent, with the features of one.
Background: Noone's entirely sure where Dominic's from, apart from maybe somewhere in Europe. He's caused trouble since he was 9, and has several charges that range from petty theft to attempted murder. After being thrown into prison from said attempted murder, he saw only one real place to both escape and unleash his aggression.
Despite all that, he doesn't mind dying. He hates what he nearly did, so the Gauntlet works for him whether he lives or dies.

Speaking of being racist and offensive, I hope my blatantly stereotypical highlander doesn't offend you at all Maxinum McDreich.  Sorry man heh heh

Also, who the heck is Luna?
I'm pretty certain Flying Dice means this Luna http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Luna

For the most part, people with access to mediocre medical care and food that is more than lumps of artifical sugars and fats (or too little food) will live to their 70s or 80s. That aside, middle age is generally considered to be ~40-55. For that matter, my paternal grandmother is 86 and still plays tennis on a regular basis.

Anyhow. Will write the update tonight or tomorrow.

I've been wanting to get in some RTDs again, so I guess I'm in.

Name: Jack Booker
Health: 30/30
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Description: Average-sized white male, with short dark-brown hair and brown eyes.
Background: Jack was once told that the best ideas came while drunk. Jack now wishes he could go back in time and punch whoever said for being so wrong. Jack was once out drinking with his friends, when one of them dared him to volunteer for The Gauntlet. He accepted, his intoxicated mind keeping him from realizing how bad of an idea that was. Once he was sober, his pride kept him from backing out. He justified it to himself by saying that it was all fake. Once it was clear that the challenges were very real, the chance to back out was gone. Now he is just hoping he can survive long enough to for his contract to expire and leave with as much of his body as he can.

Begin Episode 1.

You stand together in a small room, little more than a hollow block of concrete. Behind is the elevator by which you arrived, now blocked by a steel blast door. Cameras and automatic turrets sit in the upper corners of the room. A large monitor is affixed to the wall directly ahead, just beside a battered wooden door. It flickers on, displaying the too-wide grin of Fred Frosty, your host.

"Welcome, Contestants, to your first Gauntlet. When the alarm sounds, you will have two minutes to pass through that door. A second alarm will ring when you have thirty second remaining. If you are in this room more than two minutes past the first alarm, you will be terminated. Remember, the farther you make it, the more CASH MONEY you get and the more likely you are to survive future Gauntlets. So then... BEGIN!"

A shrill alarm erupts from hidden speakers.

Spoiler: Active Contestants (click to show/hide)

I open the door and swing around so I'm on the wall beside it, in case something comes slamming out.

I press against a wall and wait for someone to open the door. I don't want to set off any traps it may have.

Two minutes is enough. Belili moves through at a reasonable pace.

Huh. Sorry, I've never seen those pony shows, not into that type of thing, y'know. Thanks for explaining it, however!

And, yeah. I have a tendency to...Er...Get on the bad sides of mods/admins really easy. I try to tread lightly.

((You're welcome Caerwyn.  It's perfectly understandable that you wouldn't get it if you didn't watch the show so don't worry about it. We're all here to have fun after all  :) ))

Malcolm: Oi, let's get this over with!
Malcolm follows the group into the next room

.. You do realize that we haven't gone through the door yet, right?
You might want to revise to something that can't fail immediately?

Ignore everyone else. Strike a valiant pose while smiling for the camera.
