Let's Build a Goddamn Tesla Museum

The title says it all. The man from the Oatmeal has started a fundraiser to raise money to buy Tesla's laboratory and have it made into a museum in Tesla's honour.

I'm crap at writing OPs, so I'll just link you instead.

Only if they build Tesla's death ray and mount it on the roof. And then use it to extort raise their own funding.

On a more serious note, I do hope they show off his more wacky ideas (like the aforementioned death ray and earthquake machine) rather than just a boatload of tesla coils. The dude was more than a little nuts, and any museum is greatly benefited by having exhibits about mad science.

There's a Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, which seems like a good reason to visit Serbia. I've never seen it, I just know it exists, so I don't know if it's any good.

I'm all for more museums though ! :D Edit : Eeeh if I had the money I would participate. Next month, hopefully.

I remember making a Tesla coil in hign school. I have respect for someone who some how managed to make more than one of them. Those things are incredibly tedious to make.
