Your combined efforts allow you to sniff out a trap door under the north-west demon statue. Unfortunately, the weight of the statue holds it down, so you'll have to move the giant, snarling demon statue to access it.
[13+5] You do so.
The trap door leads downward into a large stone hallway. It is largely uninteresting, almost as if by design. After about 20 feet, the hallway turns to the right. Only further search checks will tell if there's anything else interesting here.

[16] Hey, look, there's a keyhole set into the wall in the last 10 feet of the corridor. It looks like either the bronze key(the one that disgusts you) or the gold key(the one that was cut in half and hidden in acid) could fit here.

If I remember correctly and I managed to not be disgusted by the bronze key, take it and use it in the keyhole. Pray that immunity to death worked.

Alright, here's the good news: You don't explode, catch fire, or anything else of that nature. Here's the bad news: This is one of those tricky bits where you have to perform a special action with the key before it opens. So, start guessing now.
(Hey, it's not like you can do much with the key besides turn it. You just have to figure out the right WAY to turn it.)

Turn it one quarter left, two thirds right then turn all the way around left then I don't know push in on it?

Nothing so far.

Insert the key, and push in. If this fails, rotate 45 degrees left and try again. Continue until I complete two full rotations. Then, do the same but turning to the right.

It doesn't have a lot of give to the left, it stops after one full rotation. Turning to the right, however, you're able to complete two full rotations, and you still don't feel any resistance. Of course, it still hasn't done anything, but you're REALLY CLOSE to the right answer.

Continue right for another rotation. If this fails,  begin again with left and try taking the out this time, going 45 degrees further each time. Should this fail, turn as far as possible to the left and push, then after a while try to find the limit of the right.
