I don't think I'm in the same room as anyone else.

OPEN THE UNOPENED DOOR, AND BEFORE LOOKING AT IT, THRUST PELVIS INTO UNEXPLORED ROOM.

Then, you know, look at what's in the room. Maybe I can find suitable pants.
YES WE'VE REACHED THE BEST PART OF THE TOMB (at least in the original) regardless follow Tsuchigumo anywhere he goes. (no I cannot remember character names it's been far far to long to remember them.)
You both approach the entryway to the 10 by 10 room that stands between you and the unopened door. Once the two of you step across the boundary, all of the crossed sword and shield decorations come to life and start attacking you!
[14][20]
Fortunately, you are both very quick to react, and Tsuchigumo knocks the door open with a well timed pelvic thrust as the two of you duck into the opposite room. Once you are in the new room, the terrible animated weapons stop trying to stab you.
Quote
Water spills from a wall basin onto a sodden floor
strewn with decayed bones and rotted equipment.
Runes are carved in the northern wall.
Hm.

Cautiously touch the crown.
After giving the crown the gentlest tap imaginable and then quickly running away, you find nothing happens. Cautiously, you lift the crown from the throne and find that it does not kill you. This is a good sign.

Er... Gold? I think I'm the only one in the room currently. Use !!Magic Missile!! on the door until the turn ends, I get eaten, or I can get out.
[15]
Well, that was impressive. Mind you, the door is made of what appears to be Adamantine, so even your magic missiles are hard pressed to do damage to it. But it was still some mighty impressive magic.
I don't think I'm in the same room as anyone else.
At the moment, pretty much everyone is in the pillar hall. Fortunately, it's very easy to get into the pillar hall, if very difficult to get out.

Don crown. If alive, realize this may have been a bad idea and see if it comes off.

Search new room for anything- valuable or not.

I must have loot.

Don crown. If alive, realize this may have been a bad idea and see if it comes off.
Well, several things happen when you put the crown on. Firstly, the crown immediately telepathically imbues you with the knowledge that you can't remove it unless you touch the tip of the scepter to it. Secondly, you realize that you can now see in the darkness of this room as if it were daylight. Startled by the realization, you lean against one of the pillars in the room to rest. It then occurs to you that the you are not floating to your impending death/nudity as a result, so apparently you are now immune to the pillar's effects.
Examine Runes
With only a little deciphering, you find that they say this:
Quote
“YOU WHO DARED TO VIOLATE MY TOMB MAY
REMAIN
AND DIE SLOWLY OF STARVATION, OR ESCAPE TO
CERTAIN DEATH.
WHATEVER YOUR CHOICE, ACERERAK THE
ETERNAL
WATCHES AND SCOFFS AT YOUR PUNY EFFORTS
AND ENJOYS YOUR DEATH THROES.”
Wow, what a dick.
Make way back to group.
Welcome back to the pillar room, where everything wants to kill you and the points don't matter.
Search new room for anything- valuable or not.

I must have loot.
[18]
Okay, most of the equipment left behind by dead adventurers is broken or spoiled, but you find the following:
Quote
743 gp in a
holed bag, several crushed gems, shattered vials, and
broken (and 0 charge) wands, an unbroken potion of
reduce person and a +1 flail with the name “Shatterskull”
inscribed in Dwarven on the shaft.
So all in all, a pretty impressive haul.

Wear bag as a loincloth, take mace and potion, fashion belt from broken wands.

Curse loudly at the door, then examine the decorations and search.

Well... I'm sure that Acererack will want to have a word with you about that in a few rooms time, but in the meantime, you are merely sad for yourself.
Cautiously touch scepter. If alive, pick it up.
You are indeed still alive, and now in possession of a pretty awesome scepter.
Curse loudly at the door, then examine the decorations and search.
[18] Looks like there's no way to open that door from this side. Thoroughly searching the room only turns up a little, but you think the decorations on the throne to the south might be important.
Wear bag as a loincloth, take mace and potion, fashion belt from broken wands.
Well, you've certainly got my vote for most fashionable member of the party.

My only problem is I have no idea where else there is to explore right now. I'm kinda lost on the shape of the area we are in.

Wave the scepter around some. Hope this doesn't kill me.

I just can't get through an action without half-expecting something to kill me, can I?

Go back and examine GWG. Ask him to test the scepter on me, because magic.
