[7] You have no clue about magic loops, but the three hands still attached to the statue have slight depressions in them, about an inch across. Oddly enough, the arm not attached to the statue lacks the depression.

After going for around twenty, the crawlway ends in what appears to be a bright gold wall.

I'll examine the arm of the gargoyle, and request that one of the other mages with us try to use Detect Magic to see if there is anything special about the statue. Must be something unique here, and I'm hesitant to handle the arm as of yet. ((Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but dying is NOT something I am a fan of, even though its inevitable Plus being a mage, and having potentially harmful magics around, I should know enough to not mess with things that may have an enchantment on them.))
