Mordekhai's brows knit and he quickly glances around after disposing of the necromancer and stepping onto the corpse for good measure in order to confirm his demise. "Do you feel the presence of any other illusions?" The crusader is understandably suspicious there might be yet other tricks even after apparently killing the necromancer.

Charge the nearest skeleton unless a priority target shows up. Heal wounded teammates in case such is needed.

"Hold still, blast ye!" Kael grumbled angrily as he fended off the skeletons with his shield.

Pincer attack with Mordekhai! Come at the same skeleton from two side, and if it's already dead then go after the last one.

"Must be an illusion." Akari whispered as she noted the crunch of Mordekhai's flail--how did he notice the position and placement of the necromancer when both sight and abstracted sensation did not pinpoint him?

She looked at the orb on the altar.

"This place is still cursed, though."

Refocus on sensing the environmental magic of this place; hold the door open and sense the magic there--compare the magic around the doorway to the magic in the room, as an aside.

(Oh jeeze, I swore I posted an action... Sorry!))

Aegnor gave a small nod as the necromancer went down, but then his eyes trailed to the still bound pirates.. And the Still present spell on the floor. Worrying that maybe something may happen if the pirates continue to be bound, Aegnor tried to get towards the pirates, to free them.

Free those pirates!

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 121:  Angry Snake Woman

Quote from: Caellath
Charge the nearest skeleton unless a priority target shows up. Heal wounded teammates in case such is needed.

[5] [3+1+1x2=10 damage]  You take aim at one of the skeletons and crush it’s skull to dust with your flail.

Quote from: Zako
Pincer attack with Mordekhai! Come at the same skeleton from two side, and if it's already dead then go after the last one.

[5] [6+2x2=16 damage]  As Mordekhai smashes one of the skeletons you cleave the other in two, completing the task of destroying the dead.

Quote from: Tiruin
Refocus on sensing the environmental magic of this place; hold the door open and sense the magic there--compare the magic around the doorway to the magic in the room, as an aside.

[6] You look around, trying to get a feel for the differences betaeen the type of magic here and the type of magic outside of this room.  Outside of this room it is wild magic, inside, Necromatic… presumably anyhow.  All this concentration on magic lately is giving you a headache.

Quote from: Ochita
Free those pirates!

[3] You free the pirates.  They all promptly run outside, and down the stairs where it sounds as though Nuru wants to take out her hatred on them all.  You should probably go down and try to cool tensions pretty quickly.

Auto attack Skeletons

Auto attack Skeletons

Sister Superior Eve from earlier reappears in the center of the room.  “I’m glad to see it is done.  Our goddess spent much of her life stopping people like him from causing any more damage, and by her grace may they never blight our world again.  I promised you payment in the form of imparting upon you all the mental training I undertook as a Sister Superior.  When you are ready to learn, let me know and I will expand your minds.

"I-...err-" didn't think it'd be that easy? It looked easy...erm. "-think I'd like my thought expanded after we fix all problems. I'll be downstairs and see you all there!"

Rush downstairs to catch the other pirates before tension ensues with Nuru-who-I-don't-know-the-name-of!

"How exactly would that expansion of one's mind happen?" Mordekhai asks, as acutely suspicious of deities he doesn't follow nor trust as always - even more so in the case of gifts given by them or their allies. He doesn't have time to wait for an answer as he notices the mess going on between Nuru and the pirates. "...I'm heading downstairs."

Go downstairs and soothe things. Nuru should stay calm and the pirates should shut up and just be glad they are alive lest they taste a delicacy called "flail to the face".

"It is similar to the training you have already gone through Crusader.  You however didn't see the full picture.  Your mind may be protected somewhat against other influences through your faith, if you accept my offer you will begin training your mind to be an impregnable fortress.  As for how I teach, I will teach you the same way I was taught, though it will most likely take a few hours to fully comprehend the lesson."

"I'm glad we could help. I think it's best to help calm things down downstairs first though, so thank you again for being willing to wait." Kael replied gratefully with a respectful bow to the spirit.

Head downstairs and help defuse the tension.

Aegnor gave a small 'whew..' after he freed the pirates... Only to soon hear Neru prepare to vent her anger at them. While he understood that there was bad blood,y he couldn't let the naga mage possibly cause more death. Especially what he just freed the pirates from. "Spirit, I will return after this current issue is dealt with, then I can pay full consideration to your training."

Go downstairs too, help smoove things out. Apply Deathstaff if any of the pirates get violent.

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 122: A Standoff

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 122:  A Standoff

Quote from: lawastooshort
Accept mind expansion.

[auto-success] Sister Superior Eve nods at you and instructs you to sit.  You do so in such a way as to be comfortable.  You breathe deeply in, and then out.  In and out.... in and out.  You find yourself... for lack of a better term, transported, to what seems to be a castle on an idyllic island.  You see others dressed in robes of various colors around.  Next to you you see Sister Superior Eve.  In the castle itself you see angels with their ethereal wings standing guard.  "We will wait here for the others.  In the mean time I will answer any questions you may have."

Quote from: Tiruin
Rush downstairs to catch the other pirates before tension ensues with Nuru-who-I-don't-know-the-name-of!

[1] You head downstairs, or rather you try to but the Pirates are stopped on the stairs slowly backing away from Nuru who seems to be getting angrier by the second.  "NO, I WON'T LET THEM GO FREE TO ENSLAVE OTHERS!  I'LL CUT THROUGH THEM ALL MYSELF IF YOU ARE UNWILLING TO!"  She yells, pulling out the loaded Gun Mordekhai gave her earlier, preparing a spell with her other hand.  You really don't have a response other than to back away from the pirates before you get shot and poisoned.

Quote from: Caellath
Go downstairs and soothe things. Nuru should stay calm and the pirates should shut up and just be glad they are alive lest they taste a delicacy called "flail to the face".

[3] Mordekhai jumps over the railing and down to Nuru's level.  "Whoa, whoa, hold on there." you say forcing Nuru to bring the gun down.  "Look, everyone's been through a lot today.  There's no reason to spill more blood, we freed you even though you were affiliated with Maria right?  Let's just give them the benefit of the doubt and let them use this chance to turn their lives around."  you say trying to calm the fuming Naga down.  "I was a slave to their needs and wants.  They acted of their own free will, I would hardly call our situations equal."

Thinking about it, she has a point, but for now, let's just try to get everyone to agree not to start killing each other.

Quote from: Zako
Head downstairs and help defuse the tension.

[6] You look around and out loud sum up the situation.  "You know, even as a mage, these kinds of numbers aren't wise to fight against."  The pirates seem somewhat bolstered in their confidence afterwards.  That probably wasn't the best thing you could have said actually.

Quote from: Ochita
Go downstairs too, help smoove things out. Apply Deathstaff if any of the pirates get violent.

[4] You follow Mordekhai and jump down.  You take position between Nuru and the pirates.  "Enough have died in this house already.  The dead permanently haunt this place already, I won't let anyone add to the sorrow they suffer and then further contribute to the evil of this house."  Everyone seems to calm down a little, but the pirates still look like they might try to rush Nuru if you leave.

Quote from: Fleur
Don't get involved in the standoff.

[1] Fleur tries to not get involved, however when Aegnor jumps down she sighs softly and approaches the pirates.  [5] "I 'zink you all should know, your boss is already dead."  Fleur says taking out Maria's hand.  "I doubt you want to see what would happen to you if you choose to fight any of us."  The pirates are now calmed down and Nuru looks like she'll let them pass without further incident.
