Aegnor noticed that he hadn't cast his healing spell, and gave a small awkward shrug at Tikan. "Sorry, my mind was on a different matter, here.."

Attempt to Heal Tikan again!

"That's okay... It's quite the distracting house, this."

Wait to see if the heal is successful, if not drink my potion, then presuming the party is ready to do so, move out in the direction the naga came from. Try to be quiet and stealthy and slightly ahead of the group.

"Ah." Mordekhai mumbles quietly as he notices something went wrong.

Heal Tikan and if it works then try to heal Akari. In case it doesn't, try again. Generally try to distribute healing until I've gotten rid of the excess mana.

"These should definitely come in handy. And thank you. What does it do exactly?" Kael replied, pocketing the syringes and taking the potion.

Down the potion of Divine Grace and cast Heal on Aegnor. While casting, see if I can learn what makes the spell work more powerfully or more efficiently.

Akari looked at Nuru, whose name she didn't know, "The entrance is open and free--nothing is stopping you from leaving once we're done healing you. All we're here for is getting to the bottom of this (because who doesn't want an ambient source of malevolence on their route), but anything you know would really help out here. Like, any notes on Maria's weaknesses or somesuch. Is she a..an occultist?"

The thought came at random, and Akari was wont to do with telling her honest thoughts (as long as they didn't hurt anyone anyway). "On that note, I just hope whatever we're facing will be...receptive to their senses. I'm not sure these smoke pellets are as effective as they were made."

Look around for anything that can cause 'quite' a distraction. Some tiny stone subtle enough for throwing and causing a clatter, for example.

"Occultist, no.  Opportunist, yes.  Maria is all about ends to a mean, whatever serves her purposes at the time.  If that means demons, then it's demons, if it means pressing others into working for her, then that is how it is.  That's how I ended up "working" for her.  She's just human though, after all that screaming, I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.  I can't imagine she's feeling very well by this point, which fills me with the a sense of satisfaction really.  I'm perfectly happy to sit by and watch her die if that's what you're here to do."

The words worried the Kitsune.

"What...exactly happened to Maria? Or, well, the rest of the crew."

I can't answer that question.  It all started after getting here we claimed rooms and then once we closed the doors the rooms changed.  Eventually we just opened all the doors and decided to keep it that way.  It worked for a time but then the doors started to close themselves with us inside.  We've been trying to survive since then.  I think I'm the last one left to be honest.  Even then it's only because I'm smart enough not to go near dolls that appeared and ooze more mana than a cow gives milk.  Not that this turn of events bothers me mind you.  It gives me a chance to go find my husband and our family, after watching her die in this place of course.

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 103:  Respite from Battle

Aegnor noticed that he hadn't cast his healing spell, and gave a small awkward shrug at Tikan. "Sorry, my mind was on a different matter, here.."

Attempt to Heal Tikan again!

[5] [3x2=6 healed]  You heal Tikan.  She looks better now thanks to your efforts.

"That's okay... It's quite the distracting house, this."

Wait to see if the heal is successful, if not drink my potion, then presuming the party is ready to do so, move out in the direction the naga came from. Try to be quiet and stealthy and slightly ahead of the group.

[1]  The heal is successful.  You look into the next room.  It's like an armory in there.  Swords, guns and animal heads are everywhere.  None of it really interests you however as all the weapons are larger than ones you are likely to need.

"Ah." Mordekhai mumbles quietly as he notices something went wrong.

Heal Tikan and if it works then try to heal Akari. In case it doesn't, try again. Generally try to distribute healing until I've gotten rid of the excess mana.

[5] [5x2=10 healed]  [4-1] [3/2=2 healed]  ((The most efficient use of the heals was yourself and Akari, so I did that.))  You heal yourself of all your wounds with a well-worded prayer.  You pray for Akari afterwards but somehow the words don't come as easily to you the second time.  It still works but it is definitely stretching the limits of your abilities.

[3] [6/2=3 healed]  You quickly down the potion.  You feel... clean.  It's sort of an odd sensation.  Now you go on to heal Aegnor since he is busy himself.  While healing him you think about what makes healing more effective.  The short answer is, more mana and training, the long answer would involve diagrams, knowledge of rune work, praying to a specific god rather than the pantheon as a whole, and also a fair amount of skill at enchanting in order to make the runes and diagrams a temporary reality.

Look around for anything that can cause 'quite' a distraction. Some tiny stone subtle enough for throwing and causing a clatter, for example.

[3] You begin looking around for something that can cause a distraction.  You briefly think of some of the seductive outfits in the parlor you just left.  You quickly grab a scandalous nightgown and return to the rest of the party.

Quote from: Fleur
Muse about Maria aloud.

"It would seem Maria is in one of 'ze upstairs rooms.  I think, given what our cold-blooded friend has said, it would be prudent to only open one door at a time.  We do not know what might be up there, and if these rooms change when the doors close... I'm willing to bet that whatever created those dolls is behind one of the doors.  That said, we might just close any of 'ze doors again, but it might just create something even worse.  I'll leave the decisions up to you, I'm just here to make sure Maria ends up dead."

Neutral:
Nuru:  [Hidden Roll]  Nuru suddenly seems to remember she's in the middle of an area affected by wild magic... and it's really cold outside.  She decides not to venture out on her own at the present time.  "You're all going to take care of this right?  I mean I did help you kill those things so you're at least going to help me get somewhere safe?"

Aegnor sighed, and looked at Tikan's freshly healed wounds. That will have to do, until combat comes back into play. He considered maybe about looking up a stronger healing prayer back in town, and nodded his head a little. Still musing to himself, he turned around to look at Akari proudly holding up a scandalous outfit.

"A...Akari.. Why are you holding that... Barely an.. outfit..?" Aegnor hesitantly and slowly asked, his voice filled with confusion.

Mordekhai also stares at Akari with a confused expression behind his helmet's protection. "Akari probably has a very good reason to be doing so. She surely is not going to wear that... Dress." he says in the foxfolk's defense.

Heal Nuru then take yet another breather to gather mana.

Also wish we could get ourselves healed and back to full mana without rolls during peaceful non-combat situations (I think we did that once in the ship).

((This is designed to be a harder encounter than the tutorial of the ship.  That said this still isn't so bad.  Pretty soon you'll run across group healing spells and you can use a roll in order to restore mana already sooooo, I'm not likely to really change the system, except for putting everyone at full after sleeping at night, because sleeping makes everything better.))

Akari looked at the clothes she had gotten--what had previously been somewhat folded that she did not discern its...true form.

"I-...I was thinking of causing a distraction," she says, before realizing the whole implications that one sentence could mean. "A-and not by wearing these! Of course! I meant I was looking for something..."
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Her gazed was affixed at the clothes in her hands.
"Something...distractive and...probably heavy and-...uhm."

She hastily held the sultry garments behind her as she felt the gaze of several others fall onto her person, turning towards Nuru, who she did not know.

"Of course we're helping you! Everything for distr-ahh...friends!"
Not a distraction!

"I'll just be over there...searching."

Any kinds of items I could find that have any holy, or medicative value?

Kael shakes his head in amusement and decides to move on.

Check out that armoury and what's in it. Look for something nice, especially a good shield of some kind.
