"What's going on?"

"More of these wooden creatures attacking someone... And it still seems we still have no appropriate way to deal with their death throes." Mordekhai answers, rightfully worried about the power of these creatures' dying screams.

Without wasting another second, the crusader starts to charge at the nearest hunter. "Should we immobilize or destroy them? The results of the latter are fairly dangerous." he asks as he rushes towards his target.

Heal naga and charge down one of the hunters, trying to disarm them with the flail.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 101:  OTK!!!

Quote from: Ochita
Holy shield the party! Include the naga if possible too.

[5] [6x2=12 damage shield] You feel a holy barrier take shape around you as you open your eyes after a short prayer.  The entire party glows with holy energy.  You feel a sense of peace wash over you, it is familiar to you and you are thankful for it's presence in this fight.

Quote from: Zako
Attack wooden hunter 3 and disrupt his aim if at all possible.

[5] [(4+2)x2=12 damage]  You figure the best way to disrupt the hunter is to slam him into the wall and cut his head off.  You charge forward and grab him by the neck with one of your hands.  "Lights out." You grunt as you slice cleanly through its neck.  He then evaporates from your hand leaving behind nothing more than a small pile of sawdust.

Quote from: Tiruin
Get a few pieces of cutlery and enchant them for all-purpose portable formalities. Eating on the road!

[2]  You're on your way to get cutlery when a loud shriek interrupts you.  It's more of those... things.

Quote from: Tikan
Rush forward and (face-)thrust the one who looks nearest to firing.

[5] [([3]+[1]+1)x2=10 damage]  Following Kael's lead you sneak up behind one of the hunters and stab it in the back of the head  You are mildly surprised when it turns into a pile of sawdust and screams but, there is little you can do about that now.

Quote from: Caellath
Heal naga and charge down one of the hunters, trying to disarm them with the flail.

[4] [2 healed] You being running forward but manage to heal the naga all the same.  [2]  You try to disarm the hunter but find the area too crowded with allies to properly use your flail for that purpose.

Quote from: Fleur
Kill the last remaining hunter.

[5] [(3+2)x2=10 damage]Fluer, following Tikan's lead takes out one of her throwing daggers and throws it into the creature's head.  Combined with the lingering poison the wooden hunter dies, crumpling into a third pile of sawdust.

Neutral:
Naga Poison Mage:  [6]  The Naga turns to escape while everyone is busy celebrating victory, running directly into Fleur.  "I think you should wait here mademoiselle, oui?"  The naga silently nods as her lower body coils up.  You can tell from her face she really just wants to leave this place behind already.
0/12 Shield
6/20 Health
14/20 Mana
Status:  None

Enemies:
Wooden Hunter 1:  *dead* [2 damage] (7 damage total) The spirit residing in this doll mostly passes on easily to the next world, besides for a noise similar to nails on a chalk board.
Health:  0/25
Fatigue:  10/10
Status:  Poisoned, taking 8 damage per turn until dead.

Wooden Hunter 2:   *dead*  [5 damage] (12 damage total) The spirit screams an earsplitting death wail as it is forcibly dragged back into the spirit world.
Health:  0/25
Fatigue:  10/10
Status:  Poisoned, taking 8 damage per turn until dead.

Wooden Hunter 3:  *dead*  [9 damage] (21 damage total) The hunter seems to evaporate into a loud shriek.  Thankfully your shields seem to hold through it, mostly.  If Akari's earlier math is correct, that should be the last wood puppet.
Health:  0/25
Fatigue:  10/10
Status:  Poisoned, taking 8 damage per turn until dead.

You look and see your party standing over three piles of sawdust.  The only one not standing by the bodies... errr.... piles of sawdust is Fleur who appears to be detaining a Naga mage.  She seems, at first glance, to be affiliated with the same pirates that hijacked the Z.C.A.S. Stormrider.  [Hidden roll]  That seems an unlikely profession for a Naga.  You've met a few before and from what you remember, they all like staying on the ground, even finding getting into ground vehicles or riding on animals to be extremely uncomfortable.

Inquire!

Seeing the commotion before her, Akari decided it best to push the notion to a scuffle at best, and decided to go on the thought of intrigue.

"Hello there," she said onto the Naga, tapping her with her staff,
"strange to see a pirate as a naga...wait, a naga as a pirate. What brings you all here?"
You all?
Some of them looked like pirates. That one in the dining room! This one...looks like a pirate.

((OOOHHhHHH my god thats... Intensly lucky for myself. and for the rest of the party too, like dang. If I hadnt blocked that 12 damage on everyone then... 16 damage to all of our hp, ouch D:))

Aegnor stumbles as several screams rip past him, the holy shield holding out for the first two, but the last one causing it to merely shatter, some of the scream bleeding though. After taking a couple of deep breaths, he looks at the group. Making his way towards Tikan he prepared a spell of healing, as he was preparing, he turned to look at the rest of the party. "Is anyone else in dire need of healing after this?"

"No need to touch me Fuzzy, I can tell you are speaking to me.  Also surely my profession is my own business, I see no need to share the details of it with you.  I have little love for Maria and hope you slaughter the bitch and all her sycophants.  Now then, I would appreciate it if you let me leave this den of misery and bewitchment, so I can continue on with my life."  You've remembered something else about naga... they are fairly haughty and like to think of themselves as better than others.  All the same, you are certain there is something she isn't telling you.  She's being very aggressive without reason while most would just maintain an aloof air.  She's also being aggressive towards Maria which is interesting...

"Not too bad here." the crusader answers from his corner. He hopes they're allowed some resting time before moving on to the next challenge or things may get seriously ugly. The group's hurting from their last encounters and being able to get everyone to top condition would be a welcome breather.

Heal Aegnor and then spend the rest of the turn concentrating on recovering Mana in case the spell goes off.

Mordekhai stares at the naga for a few moments. "There is no need to be aggressive towards Akari. She means well, and you should also show some courtesy."

((Hmm, @V: I'd like to experiment with my own style of detection in RP ;3 As in, whatelse is assumed I'd like to poke at it.))

To support the idea, Akari's tail flicked at the word of 'Fuzzy'. A tic of annoyance.
-I mean...I'm not THAT fuzzy!

"Alright, I can say I'll let you on with that but...something isn't right...Your life? Erm, we obviously won't hurt you but why are you stressy? Also a bit of insubordination towards your captain there?"

She nodded towards Aegnor and looked at the naga. "She needs healing."

Aegnor gave a short nod to Akari, then looked at the Naga. "Okay, I'll heal her just after this." Aegnor kept an eye on the naga, although he tried to not let it show.. Something was up, and he hoped that his intuition would lead him somewhere.

While healing Tikan, think about the way the naga is acting, can my intuition tell me anything?

"Alright, I can say I'll let you on with that but...something isn't right...Your life? Erm, we obviously won't hurt you but why are you stressy? Also a bit of insubordination towards your captain there?"

She nodded towards Aegnor and looked at the naga. "She needs healing."

((I read that as wanting less of my intent and more body language and vagueness, I can do that.))

The naga hisses at you a bit, "Maybe I just didn't think coming here was ever a good idea.  Maybe I don't like watching people get turned into wooden monstrosities.  Maybe Maria is a pompous fool if she thinks this has a happy ending for her and I just want to be there to watch it!"  she says her voice gradually growing more intense as she raised her body up growing taller than even Kael.  She shifts her gaze away after finishing her last sentence before easing herself back down to a more normal size.  She looks over to the elf Aegnor for a moment before deciding to cast her gaze to a particularly uninteresting length of wall.

As she settles back down you take careful note of her look.  Her hair is shoulder-length and shiny black.  A few braids decorate her bangs, adorned with colored beads.  Her eyes are outlined in kohl with delicate drawings underneath her eyes, also of kohl.  Above her eye is a light dusting of purple eye shadow that extends up to thin, groomed eyebrows. Her skin is olive in color and uncallused.  She is clothed in a loose-fitting, white, cotton garment that goes down just slightly past her hips.  At the left side is a simple, unadorned, silver brooch that holds the cloth closed.  Over that is a red vest; it looks much more worn than the cotton garment underneath.  It's hard to get a good look at her form underneath the cotton garment as she keeps much of herself concealed beneath it, leaving you guessing as to what her hands, arms, shoulders, and torso look like.  You can also see an area around her neck that is significantly less tanned than her face and the rest of her neck.  Her lower snake-like half has a black line interspaced with white dots that gradually fade into tan along the sides.  Her underbelly is also tan, though it looks as though some grey has been mixed in.

((Um..um,  no offense! If..its somehow offending...D:))

"Ok, we get you're distraught (and this may be an understatement) but we also get...well, know who Maria is. What do you know about her and what did she do to get you all into this predicament?"

Akari emphasized the 'all' part and looked at Modekhai for support. After all, she was only a worker aboard the airship--the very people who saved her must have had a better idea of the pirates that took her...was it seventh? job from her.

((None taken))

"You want to know what kind of woman Maria was?  She's the kind that wouldn't think twice about anything as long as it profited her in some way.  Slaves, weapons, thievery, drugs, extortion, she had her hands in all of it.  I would prefer having been born under a circle of vultures."  The Naga's voice is absolutely full of contempt, hatred, anger, all manner of negative emotions when discussing Maria.  Though she forces herself to remain more calm than before, you do catch a glimpse of her arms and hands.  Her arms are covered in bruises.  Looking closely at her hands, you can tell she's had several of her fingernails removed from her left hand.  Her fingers are unadorned by rings.

"As for why she drug us all here to this death trap, ask her when you find her, if you can.  She went to meet with somebody, but why here, in this place, I will never fathom.  She took some package with her, when she returned she had a different package.  I couldn't tell you what was inside it, they don't exactly trust me." she says.  The snake woman seems much more calm when relaying this information.  She seems to pause after the last sentence but ultimately decides not to add anything else and merely goes back to her attempts to stare a hole through the wall.

Tikan bends down to examine the sawdust, pausing for a moment to cover up her heavier than normal breathing.

"Thank you. Those screams were... somewhat draining. I wonder how many more of these things we'll come across? I hope you have the energy left to shield us further?"

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 102:  Naga and Heals

Quote from: Caellath
Heal Aegnor and then spend the rest of the turn concentrating on recovering Mana in case the spell goes off.

[4] [5 healed]  You heal Aegnor.  The naga doesn't seem to take any notice of your words however.  You shrug it off as either just being a part of her personality or just annoyance at this situation.

[6]  You focus on restoring your mana from the latent mana rich environment.  Perhaps a bit too late you realize you just absorbed more mana than you really know how to use... you should probably use the excess quickly.

Quote from: Ochita
While healing Tikan, think about the way the naga is acting, can my intuition tell me anything?

[1]  You spend too much time thinking about the naga to really worry about healing.  She's acting really strangely and you're determined to get to the bottom of it.  [Hidden Intuition Roll]  You easily can discern she had no love for her companions, or her superior.  Several possible reasons for this come to mind, but none of them are entirely satisfactory to you.

Quote from: Tiruin
Interact with the Naga

(see posts before this one)

Quote from: lawastooshort A.I.
Attempt to find something with which to heal party members.

[4]  You manage to find a small healing potion tucked into one of the corners of the room.  You nearly missed it in all the excitement.

Quote from: Zako A.I.
Attempt to find something with which to heal party members.

[4]  Your attempts are not in vain as when back tracing through the house into the parlor, you manage to find several syringes along with a very risqué nurse outfit.  You take the syringes and decide to ask Fleur what is inside them, not being a medical professional yourself.

"Monsieur Kael, I 'zose syringes contain a coagulating agent which will allow wounds to close more quickly.  You somehow are not surprised to learn this given that the girls were trying to give people heart attacks in the first place.

Quote from: Fleur
Search for potion of divine grace again

[5]  Fleur manages to find the proper vial at last and hands it to Kael, "If I were you, I would drink that quickly."  She then drinks another vial herself, mostly likely a healing potion to recover from all this screaming.

Neutral:
Nuru (formally Naga Poison Mage):  [Hidden Roll]  Nuru seems to be thinking something over as she stares at the wall.  She says nothing but definitely seems calmer and less likely to burst out at people.
