Zealots and Demons, Turn 81: Bargain with the ListenerKeep a close eye on the area, ready to do a holy shield once the hostilities start.
[5] You keep an eye on the area, but nothing changes. As you slowly back up towards the tower it hits you, while this Fleur is clearly interested only in finding her... its next meal, it doesn't have to be you. Maybe you could distract it long enough to get by, then just pray it's full and you don't run into it on the way out of this section of town.
Search for fake Fleur if the group joins in the hunt. Or just wait for it to appear. Stay outside when Kael decides to talk to the "Listener".
[auto-success] You wait around rather successfully, nothing happens though. It appears whatever this false Fleur is, it doesn't want to fight in anywhere resembling a populated area.
Head inside when everyone is ready and find that Listener. Go talk with her myself.
[5] You head inside the bar. You look around for the Listener, but don't really see her anywhere. You sit down at a seemingly empty table and look around, trying to find her. As your head is turned you hear a voice behind you.
"You made it back, and avoided fighting anyone. I'll mark that down in my notes Kael." You whip your head around and you see the elf seems to have taken a seat right beside you when you weren't looking, spooky.
"Now then, you have the book I assume?" she says raising an eyebrow at you. It's pretty clear she already knows you do as she silently eyes it's resting place.
((I didn't remember the actual color, so if it's wrong it doesn't mean anything, it's just blue was taken by Fleur and I think that was the listener's color as well.))
Find somewhere to hide and watch.
[5] You go inside after Kael and take a seat at the bar. Somehow you end up with some Rum in hand and blending into the crowd. You can get a good view of the Listener from your seat, but you don't notice anyone else. This bar would certainly be a poor place to try and perform some kind of ambush anyhow.
Think of a way to preserve the banner of the White Crows without fixing it.
[6] Every idea you come up with involves fixing it to some degree or another. The more you think about it, the more you really just want to fix it.
Make conversation outside.
"So, assuming we make it past 'zis fake me, do we 'ave any plans for dealing with Maria? You all have fought her before, correct? What should we be attempting to do?" Fleur asks, looking around occasionally, though she doesn't appear to see anything outside of the norm.
