((Dangit, this game's waitlist is fairly long now (though not as much as my own.) It's pretty darn cool, though. I will sign up to the bottom waitlist spot.))

While waiting for Aegnor to decide, Akari busies herself. Fixing Nephthym's White Crows Banner as she moves nearer to Mordehai.

"Safeword..? Well, I guess that it could be.. Mending?" Aegnor shrugs, and takes another look around the area.

While waiting for Aegnor to decide, Akari busies herself. Fixing Nephthym's White Crows Banner as she moves nearer to Mordehai.

"Hey." Mordekhai says, preventing Akari from taking the banner. "What are you trying to do, Akari?"

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

The Kitsune paused, hands still outstretched as she glanced at Mordekhai, then the banner, then at Mordekhai's armor.

"Err, fixing it? Its all tattered and dusty at the edges."

"No, Akari. The fact it is tattered is a proof of the pain and the experiences its owners experienced." the crusader says. "Trying to fix and forge it anew would deny the memories of all that fought with this banner flying over their heads. Usually, war banners are kept damaged to show the worth and pain of their wielders."

He stored the banner in one of his most resilient pouches and closed it tightly, still staring at Akari. "I am sorry, you just can not try to fix it."

Akari withdrew her hands. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't think- didn't know th-..."

Think of a way to preserve the banner of the White Crows without fixing it.

"Erp." she said, turning around and gazing elsewhere for any sign of a fake Fleur, feeling hurt in her own idea of not knowing the customs of the warfarers.

"I'm sorry Mordekhai."

"There's no problem, Akari." Mordekhai said, patting her head. "You didn't know about it, but now you do."

Aegnor looks at Mordekhai, understanding flashing across his face, before looking away. Saying nothing, he continues to look around the area, in case the false fleur followed him. This was something that Aegnor had no place in, and so he didn't bring it up.

Zealots and Demons, Turn 81:  Bargain with the Listener

Quote from: Ochita
Keep a close eye on the area, ready to do a holy shield once the hostilities start.

[5]  You keep an eye on the area, but nothing changes.  As you slowly back up towards the tower it hits you, while this Fleur is clearly interested only in finding her... its next meal, it doesn't have to be you.  Maybe you could distract it long enough to get by, then just pray it's full and you don't run into it on the way out of this section of town.

Quote from: Caellath
Search for fake Fleur if the group joins in the hunt. Or just wait for it to appear. Stay outside when Kael decides to talk to the "Listener".

[auto-success]  You wait around rather successfully, nothing happens though.  It appears whatever this false Fleur is, it doesn't want to fight in anywhere resembling a populated area.

Quote from: Zako
Head inside when everyone is ready and find that Listener. Go talk with her myself.

[5]  You head inside the bar.  You look around for the Listener, but don't really see her anywhere.  You sit down at a seemingly empty table and look around, trying to find her.  As your head is turned you hear a voice behind you.  "You made it back, and avoided fighting anyone.  I'll mark that down in my notes Kael."  You whip your head around and you see the elf seems to have taken a seat right beside you when you weren't looking, spooky.  "Now then, you have the book I assume?" she says raising an eyebrow at you.  It's pretty clear she already knows you do as she silently eyes it's resting place.

((I didn't remember the actual color, so if it's wrong it doesn't mean anything, it's just blue was taken by Fleur and I think that was the listener's color as well.))

Quote from: lawastooshort
Find somewhere to hide and watch.

[5] You go inside after Kael and take a seat at the bar.  Somehow you end up with some Rum in hand and blending into the crowd.  You can get a good view of the Listener from your seat, but you don't notice anyone else.  This bar would certainly be a poor place to try and perform some kind of ambush anyhow.

Quote from: Tiruin
Think of a way to preserve the banner of the White Crows without fixing it.

[6] Every idea you come up with involves fixing it to some degree or another.  The more you think about it, the more you really just want to fix it.

Quote from: Fleur
Make conversation outside.

"So, assuming we make it past 'zis fake me, do we 'ave any plans for dealing with Maria?  You all have fought her before, correct?  What should we be attempting to do?" Fleur asks, looking around occasionally, though she doesn't appear to see anything outside of the norm.

"Taking her by surprise and preventing her from firing any weapons is advised." Mordekhai says to Fleur, furrowing his brow. "She is very good with them, and I don't know if she'll fall for the same trick I used last time."

The crusader crosses his arms and sighs. "I got a map which'll allow us to avoid the traps of her hideout, so I suppose stealth will actually be an option. If we manage to get both her arms immobilized or disarm her, she probably won't be much of a problem."

Wait until Kael gets back so we may head towards Maria's hideout.

((Pretty much, yeah. He knows. Of it at the least.

Also holy hell 3 5's and a 6. Everyone suddenly is struck by a jolt of success.))

"Hrm.. I think that the.. thing out there, only wants a meal, and that it isn't really bothered on who it is." Aegnor mutters to himself, wondering on what could be done.

"If we felt like doing the community a service, such as destroying the.. False fleur, then I wouldn't be against that, but if a couple of us could either distract it or feed it something, we might be able to get past it. Although the return trip.."
