(Why exactly do you think that that faction is evil? Or do you just hate doing sidequests? Also, the map was my idea, and there was another way to find out where Maria's hideout is, but you've already got this sidequest almost completely wrapped up so you might as well just finish it.)

Kael mentally filed the name of the company away in his memory for later. It might pay off later to find out more about them. Right now however, his companion was making things more complicated than they needed to be...

"Hey, I'm trying to work here, ya know? Quit making a mess of things!" he called over his shoulder to Aegnor, shaking his head with repressed feelings.

"Must be the wild magic... Anyway, that's not what I meant. I wanted to know who you were stealing plans for and why. I know that you have some degree of sense so you wouldn't do something do serious without a reason. Tell me who and why and I might be able to help you."

((Nothing against you, SC, I'm just playing in-character. A "God of Knowledge" with a secret society of worshippers sounds ominous, Tzeentch-style, and that's the reason Mord doesn't want anything to do with them. Rubbing each other's back - if any - for him would only work with organizations that don't hide in the fringes and shadows of society. :P))

>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Hmm, you do smell nice, Fleur," adds Tikan, in her friendliest manner before stopping looking around and instead distractedly staring at the sky rather than any passersby.

"You know, I think it looks like rain!"

Aegnor shook his head. Why was he acting so weird.. Could it be the-- No time to think now. Quickly, he stuffed the dagger, posion, crossbow and bolts, along with the tarot deck back into the chest. Turning to look at the stairs, he looks at the rest of the stolen goods in his hands. Nodding once to himself, he replaces the silver and gloves.

Once the men arrive, Aegnor coughs, and points to the open chest, distinctly not empty. "If you didn't know by my robes, I am a diviner of some talent. I was sent here to scry on the evidence, to see if there was any clues that could be gained from them. The noise you heard was me falling over after I tripped over the chest. Although I'm done with my Scrying now, so I should send a report at my earliest convenience."

He finishes his 2nd-last sentence with some shame and embarrassment in his voice.

Roll a bluff check.

Action: Get Plot Resurrected
... You come back as Nepthym, destroyer of worlds! The good side is that you're now alive, the bad side is that you have a hunger for ENDING THE UNIVERSE, but you think you can keep that side in check. ... Or so you think, but soon all comes into a rushing red, and before you can even react you realise that you have ended the world. Welp.

GAME OVER

:P Sorry, I couldn't resist.

(Indeed. But let's assume you're serious for a moment. Plot resurrection would mean... what, Nepthym getting resurrected by the Whisperers? I'm not sure that's even possible, and if it was, their God probably couldn't do it. Or maybe He could if there was a spell for it, since he would know it.

You don't have to respond, I'm just bored at nearly four in the morning. :P)

((Resurrection is certainly possible, and well within the realm of Sareesa's powers, I was never planning on letting it into the grasp of PC's.  If anything, you'd need to contact one of the higher-ranking member's of a deity deeply involved in magic.  In the original it was possible, but I realize now, it's not something I really want PC's able to do, even though it keeps the original party intact, because then less and less seems miraculous and more and more is commonplace.  To be honest, I've been thinking about expanding the group up to six just because I'm a masochist apparently, but yeah.  I'm not really sure if I'd want resurrection.  If something like that were to happen you'd have to be the daughter of some powerful angel probably, i.e. powerful enough to do it by his or herself, and one that had taken an active interest in you.  Of course that would also require you to know quite a few more gods to make a decision about whose angels you wanted to be descended from and I would then have to take the time to write out at least a hundred of the most well known gods of the 10,0000 god pantheon.  In short, there is a god for everything and many of them overlap and have bigger or smaller followings in different realities and different worlds.  Sareesa is very much a regional god in that she hasn't, up to this point, shown a care for any world but that which gave birth to her.  While she did invade the demon realms and distract all demon's for a time, she did this for her world, not for any other.  I imagine Malgun has a much larger following in different worlds, as a god interested in acquiring all knowledge, and needing quite a bit in order to do the things he's done, he would have to combine the magical, technological and crystallographical properties of several worlds and realities to forge some of the things he would have had to.  You'll notice a God's following is not necessarily related to their power, but rather more to function, and attention paid to the various worlds out there, for while Sareesa is certainly a Goddess of an incredibly high order, her single-minded determination keeps her locked, at present of course to one world.  If I was to make a sequel to this game in the same setting it would be on an entirely different world that hadn't even discovered magic yet.  Sort of a more "Conan" setting if you will.  More about feats of strength and arms against a great variety of demons and demon-spawned problems.  Sareesa would probably make an appearance and some point, I doubt she'd be the focus of it though.  Sareesa has always been sort of the favorite of all the characters I've ever developed, she's found a way into just about every story I've ever told.  Also, I suppose I should hold a vote for the name of this world since I'm growing increasingly annoyed with not having named it something, at least not that I remember being totally satisfied with.  I'm terrible with names but I've come up with three that I think are acceptable and if you don't pick them for the world name they'll probably be the next semi-important NPC's you meet because names frustrate me.

A. Syr (Pronounced like Sear)
B. Harren  (har-REN)
C. Mo'Nathel (MO-NATH-el)

I should probably work on the turn as well.  I'll start it, but it might not get finished until after breakfast though.  Also if you really want back in, message me Dwar, I might be able to work something out.  As your death was rather BS because I thought you'd have a better chance with what clearly, in retrospect was an over-powerful boss.))

((One day I'll take you up on that Norrec! Though I wasn't honestly expecting that much of a response. O_o

Alas, though, my action was doubly humorous because as Serc and Tiru could tell you, I'm not exactly in a position to play right now even if you dropped me out of the Heavens on a plot driven chariot. :)

And death is always BS, but it happens to everyone. If you see fit to return me one day in that way, I will certainly be open to it. Assuming I'm around by then. ))

(Jeez, spoiler alert V-Norrec. :P I went to all that trouble to avoid naming the God of Knowledge... although I guess it's kind of obvious who it is anyway. :P)
