Fleur cleared her throat. "Oui, having a person inside would be a good idea. But what will ze rest of us do while they search? Rest here on our laurels? Non. I think Monsieurs Mordekhai and Kael should bring someone in while ze rest of us search for another way in. If nothing else, I am a wonderful climber and I might be able to find a higher entrance, such as a window or perhaps a trap door at ze top. If at least three of us can find a way in then we have a much better chance at finding this thing."

Akari stopped her line of thought upon hearing the word 'man'.

"I thought Maria was female? Isn't that what you're after, Fleur? In a...prison?"

Aegnor cleared his throat, and looked a little uneasily.

"Long story short, this guys diary in the prision is what we want, not the guy himself. We can then trade the diary for info on where maria is."

"Why can't I just conjure up a diary? I mean, manly writing is all squarical and cuboidal, right? Alright, kidding aside perhaps...

"Does the prison have any supply schedule or anything? We can sneak in through the supply lines or sewers!"

"I can climb too... and I prefer climbing to sewers. But I can also look like a criminal. And I can also burn things down. I am also getting hungry."

"There iz a sewer system in this town. It might run below ze watchtower... if you want to get covered in ze muck and ze filth and stink for weeks and weeks..." Fleur said, shuddering in revulsion. To Tikan she said "You could have some of ze peanuts." The peanuts she meant were on the table and were clearly a ploy by the owner to get people to drink more, because they looked to be quite salty.

Peanuts.

"Let's bribe the gate guards with kindness and knock them out with kindness. Peanuts!" Akari said, pointing towards the peanuts.

She then explained an idea on how to intensify the different chemicals present in food, perhaps causing several side effects - most of which include seeking for water or general loss of location sense. Then knocking them out along with going in their uniforms.

Or just dressing up as the food delivery service - guards have to eat too, y'know.

Kael shook his head at the antics of Akari, smiling to himself. She was clearly naive of how these matters worked...

"How about we split our forces through multiple approaches? We zealots have every right to enter that tower, if we have reason to be there, and might be able to simply ask the guards to hand over the diary. A plausable excuse could be that we have concerns of the owner being involved in a series of murders or other crimes, and his diary might provide some evidence to that claim.

As for the rest of ya, I think ya should not make a scene if possible. The last thing we need is the guard after us..."

"What..? What kind of bar did you go to Mordekhai..? ...Nevermind, I don't really want to know."

"I accidentally got into that kind of bar." Mordekhais said with a pained face, waving it away afterwards. "And some of us are already talking about murder to get the diary. Do you really think we should give in to the dealings with the servants of a 'god of knowledge'?"

He sighs and rests his chin on his hand, his arm on the table. "To be sincere, this looks like the story of people who are subtly introduced into criminal or generally shady associations. We make them a small favor and they pay us back, under the pretext that we could 'rub each other's back' and the like, then they ask for bigger favors until they aren't giving us much in return except for offering us the wonderful opportunity to join their group as grunts and pawns, and by then we are so deep they take grave offense to us denying any of their whims."

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Hey! It seemed a very nice kind of bar... And yes, ok, if we find this woman without needless murder, perhaps that would be for the better. What do you suggest?"

"I was considering searching around the airship docks. She did escape with the help of her associates in an airship." Mordekhai said, apparently still slightly sour about Maria's escape. "As this dock isn't exactly in a central area, her ship may have docked here, or at least a smaller boat. The people around there may have information to lead us to her."

"Ok, well, that sounds slightly less risky in the short term, I guess. Someone's bound to have noticed an airship. Can't guarantee anyone's going to talk though, eh? And I think we should let Aegnor tell us what he felt about this... representative of the god of knowledge... There's probably ways other than murder to get them what they want if we have to."

Mordekhai shrugged, a somewhat exaggerated gesture in his case due to his armor's large pauldrons. "We could still try it, but only as a last resort and we should avoid any casualties. I am not fond of needing the assistance of an organization we are not familiar with."

"Well, why don't a couple of us make discrete enquiries down at the docks whilst the others scout out the tower and make a plan?"

"I'll just make myself useful here...why can't we just borrow a spyglass from someone - like the owner of this tavern or something. Probably ask him for rumors or help. Those people usually know much more than the ordinary mercenary."
