"Well, we should search the tavern next. Pirates tend to like alcoholic drinks, or we'll at least find information there. The airship dock is the next one on the list." Mordekhai says, starting to walk.

Towards the tavern, and this time carry any teammate who forgets to move along.

Aegnor looked at Kael. "No, I've never even been to this city before. Although in those terms, I might as well see if I can't talk to her. Or something."

Fleur shook her head and took a drink. "Non. If you were to assassinate someone in a part of ze city you do not normally go to, why would you tell anyone there that you would be in ze area? It makes no sense to leave a trail." Although much of the draconian's face was hidden by the shadow of her hood, from what was visible she didn't look particularly pleased about Aegnor going over to talk to her. "Monsieur Kael? Why don't you talk to ze elf mistress? She might respect ze costume of a Zealot," she said.

(Mordekhai's just going to let Nepthym fade away without even answering her? How cold. O.o Also, @Ochita and Zako: That's not a GM suggestion from me, that's just me playing up one of Fleur's traits. I'll leave it up to you to figure out what she's up to. :P)

(Mordekhai's just going to let Nepthym fade away without even answering her? How cold.)
((Hot here, left tab open to answer that specifically and forgot. Thanks for the heads-up, it would be terrible.))

Whisper, Whisper...

"Thump...Thump

I'm not sure you need me anymore...at least, not in this way. Would you miss me if I left again...? Miss my voice?"
Nepthym says, quiet and sad.

Mordekhai flinched for a moment. He looked to Tikan and Nepthym and then shifted his gaze forward, avoiding their eyes. ...Nepthym, you know that I would miss you. the crusader answered, biting his lip. He had promised himself and her.

...Are you leaving? So soon? he asked, only preventing tears from streaming down his cheeks due to his resignation. Would you at least...Come back some day? To talk to me before I'm also gone from here?

He then sighs and stays silent for a while. ...I may like Akari, but I'm still unable to forget you. Does this make me a terrible person?

Whisper, Whisper...

"I'll always be here...in a way. But part of me being, was that I would also leave-once you had healed. We all have promises to keep, after all. So, it's about letting go.

You're not terrible, you know. For liking her. Don't dwell on what might have been between us-look at what we had, and what you have right in front of you.

Some people live more in 20 years than others do in 80. The day I spent with you was one of the best of my life. I thank you for that.

Apart from the whole dying part of the day, that was bad..

So, don't be sad. Smile, live good, fight for what's right. Okay? Goodbye, Mordekhai...goodbye, for now..."

The presence departs-like layers of silk, drifting under the waves, Mordekhai can feel it sink into his consciousness. Until it's only a memory of a memory.

And perhaps, just maybe...he can feel a slight tingle on his left cheek...like the brush of a pair of lips-and a final whisper. Something important.

....

But, he can't make it out.

He will try.

But he'll never know.

"I don't know about that... If it goes wrong, than people will be able to track me down more easily than one of ya two. I do kind of stand out, ya know?"

Kael looked at Aegnor over the rim of his mug.

"Still, I suppose one of us should go talk to her. Do you want to do it, or should I?"

Nepthym... Mordekhai throught, biting his lip and casting his gaze downwards before breaking into a mischievous smile.

We will meet someday. It might not take long, but I hope I'm able to live some more to have a better story to tell you when it is my time.

He stares into the sky once more and gets back to his confident stride, if slightly slower. Farewell, Nepthym...And please make sure you find a sofa for us to sit on and talk when it's my turn.

As Nephtym presence disappeared, if she could still feel anything, there would be the rough but caring touch of a gauntleted hand - a soft pat on her shoulder, like he had done once before.

It seemed to carry a feeling of nostalgy; a small apology along with an offer to punish him afterwards, and the warm feeling of the joke that came with it.

The crusader grins. And all is silent once again.

Aegnor takes another sip, and looks towards the elven lady.
"I believe.. I will go. Maybe I can entertain her enough to learn something, or at least to see what she's been writing in that book of hers."
Setting his mug down, and putting on a slightly confused face, Aegnor weaved though the tavern, until he had arrived at the Elven ladies table. Coughing slightly to get her attention, he leaned onto the table, and asked if he could sit on this table.

Use Aegnor's natural spy skills to butter up with this elvish woman.

Zealots & Demons, Turn 69: <- That Ain't Happening

Hang out with Fleur.
Quote from:  Fleur / SeriousConcentrate
Be silently jealous of the elf girl.

Fleur and Kael watched Aegnor make his way over to the other Elf and ask to sit at her table. "If you would like, mister Tinúviel. I imagined you would come over here sooner or later," she said, pushing a chair out for him with her foot. (Intuition: 1+2) The act seemed oddly significant, although Aegnor couldn't place why as he sat down. "I'm sure you wish to ask how I know your name. Have you ever heard of the Whisperers?" (Conversation will be handled as mini-turns)

Agree with wherever Tikan wanted to go. Heal most wounded member that isn't me.
Quote from:  Tikan / lawastooshort
Loot body and follow Mordekhai.

Tikan stopped to loot the body while Akari applied what field dressing she could to Mordekhai through his armor. (T: 2. A: 4.) Spider-Eyes turned out to have nothing of worth on him, but Akari managed to patch Mordekhai up fairly well. (5 HP restored, Medi-kit used up) Afterward, the three of them set off in a line, with Tikan behind Mordekhai and Akari behind Tikan. (Encounter: 4) Eventually they arrived at a tavern and looked in. There were people spread out here and there, but the only person they saw right off that they recognized was Kael. That might have been Fleur with him.

Aegnor slowly raised an eyebrow as he sat down, eyes narrowing slightly.
"Oh, so you know my name. Impressive, I thought that maybe travelling would make a name harder to find, but here you are, with my name. Please, do tell me about these whisperers."

"Oh, here they are. Let's take a table for us." Mordekhai said, sitting on a vacant table to watch Kael and what was probably Fleur with them.

"We are the voices of the God of Knowledge. We gather and share information among our order, collecting it for Him." The woman leaned forward slightly, placing her forearms on the table and lacing her hands together. "It is very rare for our God to take an interest in any one mortal, but for Him to ask us to keep an eye on several at once is amazing. Your name, and that of your companions, has been known to us since before you awoke." She raised the rim of her hat slightly. "But where are my manners? My name is Fasha. Just Fasha, if you please. I am the Whisperer for these slums."

Aegnor had shock cross his face, although after a second he relaxed again.
"Well Fasha, its nice to meet you. Well, why would the god of knowledge be interested in an entire group? Gods as I know them don't normally take interest in people, unless there's something large about destiny or cosmic forces involved. And actually.. What does your god even want from us as a group? What does a whisperer do? Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, this is concerning for me."

Aegnor looks up at Fasha, concern directly on his face.
