"Apparently, as agile as the original." Mordekhai quipped before trying to dash towards Nephtym's copy, raising his greave and trying to train it on its legs as it stood still on the ground after dodging his flail's attack. "Let's see how good you are."

Stomp the copy's legs.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Graaaaah...why can't my feet even make less of a noise when on metal floors?! What use are these paws?

Disappointed at the failed ambush, Akari decided to take cover and conjure up a ball of white light. The ambient lighting wasn't a good thing to work with, and in this kind of shade, she feared her targets would be as much an ally as a foe.

And then try ventriloquism!

"I'm over here, you damned cultist!"

((Jacelyna needs to be found in order to be attacked.  She's taking advantage of the same stealth you guys have.))

Nepthym slid behind a steel girder and crouched-she pulled out her rifle and peered out, looking for a target. She could really use a light about now...

Action: Peer out of cover-look for any sign of the Mage, shoot her with my rifle if I see her.

Edit: What is the layout of this place we're in anyway? How big is it?

"Damn... something's not quite right with this one..."

Tikan heard the shot in the dark just as she dived into cover. She decided not to wait for the reload and darted out, knife at the ready.

Leap out and thrust attack and then if possible return to cover.

"Damn... something's not quite right with this one..."

Tikan heard the shot in the dark just as she dived into cover. She decided to wait, not wanting to risk taking a bullet. She'd wait for the next reload.

Stay behind cover from the clone; leap out and thrust attack if (and immediately after) it fires.

((We're under initiative right now, so you don't get to decide when you attack, do you want to attack or not?))

Aegnor cursed, the vials had to be around here somewhere..

Try again!

((Also as a question, does my alchemy skill just allow me to make stronger potions, or are there other benefits to having a high alchemy skill?))

Zealots and Demons, Turn 46:  Aegnor's Unfortunate Luck

Quote from: Jacelyna Murrein, 92
Attack the Priest from the shadows, Disappear back into the Darkness.

[4] [4=4+4=8 damage] Jacelyna creeps up behind the unaware priest seeking to light the battlefield, and whispers into his ear.  "You think you can win against the holy will of our goddess?"  As soon as she has said it her claws glow with a silver-white light slashing the priest across the back and shredding his robes leaving him a bloody mess clothed in rags. " [6] She disappears, again, the shadows seeming to clothe the woman as much as her own clothing.  You hear the sound of something falling over in the forward-starboard area though.  "Frak!" you hear as little more than a murmur.

((Here's a rough sketch of the area where you are fighting btw.))

Quote from: Ochita, 86
Try again!

[6]  Ah there they are.  That pain was just the motivation you needed to find the right vials.  You create the potion, unfortunately it's a little bit more unstable than you intended it to be.  In fact, it's about to blow!  ((Status added:  Ticking Time-bomb, 1 Turn until Explosion))

Quote from: Caellath, 71
Stomp the copy's legs

[3] [5+1/2=3 damage]  Expecting a Viceral sound of combat, you are mildly disappointed when it feels more like you are stomping on a pillow... a pillow of darkness. . . AND GLITTER!  All the same you can tell you did some damage as the some of the 'solid' shadows separate from the host body.

Quote from: Shadow Nepthym, 33
Sabre and Dagger double strike

[2] [5] [(2+2-3)x2=2 damage] Mordekhai is on the recieving end of the Shadows own attack, unfortunately the pillow-like quality seems to have persisted, leaving the attack near useless against the armored warrior.

Quote from: lawastooshort, 19
Leap out and thrust attack and then if possible return to cover.

[2]  You leap out and try to thrust into the Shadow's form, but it's so dark you end up just stabbing at the darkness.  It isn't very effective.  [5]  You wrap yourself in the shadows yet again, disappearing from sight.

Quote from: Dwarmin, 15
Action: Peer out of cover-look for any sign of the Mage, shoot her with my rifle if I see her.

[3] [2+2-1/2=2 damage] You see the mage stand behind Aegnor for a few moments.  You yell at him to get down, but it's too late, she's already slashed his back.  You pull your rifle up just in time to get a quick shot out at her.  You can't be sure if you hit her or not given the low-light and the fact she disappeared into the darkness just as quick as you would... were you in her position, you almost envy her, being able to toy with her prey like this, it must be nice.

Quote from: Tiruin, 1
take cover and conjure up a ball of white light.

[5] ([1]+[4]x2 = 10 damage to the shadow creature) You conjure up a ball of light and the sudden absence of shadow seems to damage the shadow who holds her 'arms' up as if to block the light from her eyes.  You can see the central area clearly now, though the areas behind the ruined engine cores remain shrouded.    You can't see Jacelyna directly, but it should be easier to find her now.

((A 1?! O_o
oh dear.))

"Stick together, everyone! Whatever that is, it's harmed by light!" Akari said, pushing away her tail lest it tripped her again.

She wasn't used to combat, adapted to crafting and creation moreso than fighting for her life, but in this scenario...

"And- gah! The Engines! They've broken the engines! Get out here and face us like a man, you cursed cultist!"

...Well, there goes another job.

Aegnor peered at the potion, disregarding the pain. He didn't know how painful this would be if he didn't get rid of that potion..

THROW THROW THROW AT THE CULTIST, Or where that noise came from.

Tikan wasn’t sure she could do more against the shadow than the light; she sneaked off to find a target that, perhaps, she could harm.

Locate Jacelyna, but prioritise remaining in hiding. Observe once found. Does the fiend have weaknesses?

She is currently weak to poison and weapons.

((Don't joke, Nept and Jace look fairly similar right now.  Nept is wearing her clothes after all.  Granted she left behind a lot of the 'fun' elements))
