Nepthym heard a tink sound as her sinews were mended-and the bullet popped out of her, rolling on the floor. She picked it up, examining it. Sort of like a metallic mushroom. Funny.

She dropped the bullet in her pocket.

"Thanks for the Help Aegnor-but I could have waited.. If you'd have died of your wounds during the spell to heal me, I'd have died anyway. You know what I mean, healer tend to thyself?"

...

Nepthym righted herself, watching the pirate girl fly off on a skiff. Yes, she was certainly a criminal-a pirate, a killer. But she had a life she had chosen-Freedom, even if she used that Freedom to choose a path of evil. Nepthym had heard her words...and she couldn't help but feel some admiration for Maria. She had chosen her life, and had no regrets about it.

"...well, she almost killed me, but I can't help but admire her. Too bad we're on different sides" She mentioned, a faint hint of regret in her voice.

...

She addressed the group.

"..so, are we heading to the sub-deck or the engine room? These controls are ruined...and, I figure the Cultists would only blow up the ship to hide evidence-after they're done with whatever they're going to do. Let's go and stop them, yeah?"

She turned to Mordekhai, nudging him in the side.

"And what about you hero boy? You look a little tired-all I did was get shot. Need a break, ihtiyar?" She said, in a challenging, playful tone of voice.

Action: Move on with the rest of the party-if it comes to a vote, I would go to the sub-deck first

And this is how one gets rid of a potentially overpowered weapon in the players hands

((That thing ate twenty bullets to fire once.  Anyone who got it would NEVER have money again, they would spend it all on thousands of bullets.  I can't prove it, there was a [1] there though.))

Akari braced herself by grabbing the nearby [static object] as the ship lurched downwards. If she remembered the altitude this was flying right, there was only little time left to act before they hit rock bottom, or flew...like a rock.

Focus. No puns.

"Time is against us! If anyone knows where the passengers are, I've signaled across the comm system. Hopefully they're free, but if not I propose we split up. I'm heading to my domain, the Engine Room. If we can get enough propulsion into the system, we can at least ease the course of the ship."

She straightened up and glanced at the door, waiting eagerly for anyone to reply.

((Also, just noticed your sheet wolfchild. Sorry, I didn't know D:))

"Let's not split up-that's bad. Let's do a quick vote, and follow the majority.

I'd prefer we find the sub-bridge. That's where these scummers are hiding out, I'd bet."

"Damn," muttered Tikan. "Oh well... I agree. No need to split up right now, let's get to the subdeck."

Move out and scout ahead, listening and looking carefully for the quicket and safest route.

"But we'd make easier-..."

The presence of pirates on the ship was now a vague possibility. If their Captain left, then why shouldn't they?

However, the line between boarders and cultists was now evident. The faction that had attacked her was- of a mix between pirates and cultists?

"We should've asked about the pirates and cultists. I give in, we move to the sub-board, but quickly, please!"

Sub board, ho!

(Vow of not holding money and all.)

Aegnor grunted somewhat, the bullet had a tendency to kinda make itself known whenever he shifted. And then the lurch happened, kind of knocking Aegnor to the floor.

"Ow.. I'll keep that in mind.."

Shaking himself up, he eamines his wound, freezing up for a second, then deciding to cast a heal spell on himself.

Healer, Heal Thyself!

((@GM: Not cool. Not cool.

Also, is Maria going to appear again?))

"Hey girl, I know that will probably happen, but it is the path I chose. This is what makes me happy, the same way your pirating does. I like challenges, I like taking down the wicked and saving the innocent. It is a difficult task, but I don't shy away from it and try the safer, easier path." Mordekhai said back to Maria, his voice as relaxed and firm as always.

"My life of struggle can only get sweeter as long as I have someone by my side...But in your case, that would be someone who will stab your back to take over your ship. Sleep with an eye open, pirate. Living with bad people tends to shorten your lifespan as much as fighting them does to mine." he completed with his voice showing a mix of good humor and a certain pity at her situation as she moved away from the airship.

Mordekhai considered shooting down the skiff - Maria was a killer after all, which meant that taking her down would be a service to justice, all things considered - but he knew the GM would put a finger on it he decided she was simply too far away and his shot would most probably miss.

As a response to her wink, Mordekhai took off his helmet and stared back at her, showing determination through his smile and face. He could not blame her entirely. She had her ways and he had his own; she thought herself right, and so he did. Even if he had that mindset, he still had to take her down...unfortunately, that would not be the day.
"Maria! Let us meet again and finish this fight one day, one on one." he shouted to the skiff and its occupant as it moved towards the main ship.

After bellowing his challenge, the young crusader simply turned back, helmet under one of his arms.
"I have to admit she was a worthy opponent." he said with a sigh. Attractive as well, he admitted even if only to himself, although he felt his apparent taste for determined, independent girls to contrapose his own behavior would probably the end of him...His thoughts once more floated back to Eria.

His adopted father had never told him much about that kind of thing - probably because old Veke was the perfect example of a veteran Zealot: old, unloved and almost penniless, even if possessing somewhat of a fame. The only occasion he remembered something remotely close to love advice from Veke was that time when he discovered about Mord's relationship with Eria and gave him a thumbs-up along with a smile full of white teeth, which only caused the young man to realize his adopted father could be lacking some screws ...Damned old man, could have expounded a little more on the matters of the heart, couldn't he?

"And I'm a long way away from getting tired." he answered Nepthym with a smile, putting a gloved hand on her neck, relief showing through his face as he saw she was well. "Let's move to the sub-deck." he completed, putting his helmet back on and spinning the thurible until its chain wrapped around and across the length of his forearm's armor.

Heal self, then move on to the sub-deck. If Aegnor's healing fails, heal him instead.

((Meh, 5 attack rolls can go both ways on the scale and losing 20 bullets for [2] [1] [1] [3] [6] is probably just going to shoot yourself in the foot.  *shrug*

And to answer your other question, it remains a possibility.))

((It was powerful in Maria's hands because she's a skilled gun user, on it's own it's basically the same as shooting 5 pistols for quadruple the cost.  Each shot still has a 50% chance of doing jack-fucking-shit, no shots are using anything higher than a d6.  Maria got fucking lucky as shit with four fives originally, three fives when I took Akari out.  It seems ridiculous, but really, Maria couldn't even have one shot anything unless she directed it all at one person.  The spell-enchanted bullets were just specialty bullets so really even the spell effects that MIGHT have occured were more belonging to the bullets than the gun.))
