Mordekhai quickly started to swung the thurible in short vertical circles.
"I suppose you are Maria. Pleased to meet you, I'm Mordekhai."

He gave her a short and friendly smile before trying his luck at restraining her.

Lasso her weapon arm with the thurible's chain.

Nepthym chimed in, circling around like a predator.

"Honestly, he's a great guy, Mordekhai. Why don't you surrender for us, pretty? You're a bit outmatched here."

Zealots and Demons, Turn 39: Jackpot (nearly)!

Quote from: Ochita, 91
Throw the sleeping potion at the female pirate.

[5]  You throw the sleeping potion at Maria.  [3] She's mildly drowsy from what little of it soaked into her skin.

Quote from: Maria, 79
Multi-shot, multi-shot, multi-shot!  AHAHAHAHAHA!

[5][5][2][5](Hit rolls against party)[3+3x2=12 damage][5+3-3x2=10 damage][Miss on Tikan][3+3x2=12 damage]  "You think numbers mean anything against me.  I've survived fights far worse than this."  Maria says stopping one of the pistols that has been constantly twirling around her fingers before firing it directly at Tikan.  Tikan, expecting the shot manages to get out of the way.  Nepthym, Aegnor and Mordekhai all end up with some new holes in the front of their bodies though.  She quickly reloads the pistol.  "Let's see what I've got in the chamber now." she says her voice having a sing song note to it.

[1]  Her second pistol jams but she clears the chamber and quickly reloads that pistol as well.  "Awwww, a misfire, and I was so sure one of you were going to die right here, right now too."  She says pouting

Quote from: Caellath, 48
Lasso her weapon arm with the thurible's chain.

[6] v [5] You manage to get a lasso around one of her two arms, unfortunately she's carrying two pistols and after that last display, you're pretty sure your luck isn't going to be much better with the second arm.

Quote from: lawastooshort, 46
Back away from her, fight defensively and try to observe a weakness.

[5]  You hit the floor and roll to the side.  You find a. . . no. . . it's not even possible. . . a loaded machine pistol is lying next to you.  It looks like she lost it in the struggle to get her arm out of the thurible's chain.

Quote from: Dwarmin, 41
Action: Wield double blades-go around and try for a Backstab attack with my dagger/Normal attack with my Rapier while Mordekhai has her attention. Unless someone gets her to surrender or fall asleep or be restrained or something. Don't attack if she's surrendered or rendered helpless and secured.

[3] [1+2+2/2=3 damage] You barely manage to even scratch the distracted pirate... losing so much blood. [2]  You hit the floor and are blown back by wind into one of the control consoles.  All you can think about is the bullet that pierced your insides... is this... death?

Quote from: Akari, 19
Staying outside, she inspects the whole place for any probable exit or entryway, or ambush points and listens to any suspicious sounds, other than those of battle right in the obvious path.

[5] You hear the sound of a single gunshot and five ricochets behind you.  You still continue on though making sure nobody else can ambush you.  It doesn't look like anybody is coming.  You remember something from earlier... they were here to crash the ship after stealing some kind of valuable being transported.  It looks like these pirates have already started the second phase of their plans if they destroyed all the instruments in the Bridge.

Enemy Status
Maria, Health:  42/50 Status:  Arm-locked,  Can only use one of her arms to attack, the other struggles to escape each turn.

((I love the only shift in name was me.  :P

Also...I'm still outside and get a shot O_o

Err, assuming that I'm on the outside and somehow not wounded despite what the words above say in Maria's turn.))

Crash the ship...

Would that mean..it's already stolen or- wait, why are they leaving their Captain in the bridge of she is alone? This doesn't make any sense!

Poking her head into the doorway, she could see the rest in chaos, along with Jacelyna having a bit of trouble and...blood?

"Hold on!"

Save Jacelyna (Nephthym) by providing cover!

Enchantment @ Maria: Try to create a bubble of fire around her weapons to destroy them or at least burn her hands!

"They stole something and are planning to crash the whole ship!"

((OOC: Well, Someone knock that other weapon out of her hand!))

@Tiruin: I hate to nitpick, but how exactly are you going to save me? :P ))

Blood

What was that?
If you'd been paying attention, that's a machined pistol-it fires very fast, you know. You underestimated your enemy.
Never seen a rapid-gun that small...
Are you still complaining? Get under cover and hope it doesn't have very good penetrating power.

Her insides burned like fire...but pain was no excuse. She had to fight.

Nepthym responded to her instincts, looking for cover from the deadly gun. She felt something warm dripping down her chest-and her blood was...glowing? She ignored it, half pretending a stagger and a fall behind one of the panels-hopefully her enemy would think her fallen...for a moment, her senses blacked out.

You're already dead, remember? You should be-with them.
Anemu. Gahji. Khas. Renope. Nefe. Uetu. Kabir. They were your friends! And you left them to die...
No...no...

Nepthym winked back, blinking rapidly. Not here...not like this.

Action: Roll behind heavy cover and try to play dead, trying to get her to forget about me. Using Sneakiness I would hope.

If and when I lose her scent, rise up and use Sniper Shot ability with my rifle in her back.

((Does my thurible benefits from Melee Skill?))

Mordekhai bled, red slowly flowing from his wounds and running across his armor. But it was not much of a problem. His blood had been spilt before, and it would not be the last time either, if he managed to live through that fight. Even after taking a serious wound, he had been able to get Maria's arm and lock it, and despite her efforts in freeing it, he had a solid grip on it.

His gaze quickly shifted to his allies, assessing their situation and being relieved none had been killed yet. Now, he had to fight as he was meant to and protect them, or he would fail them as he had failed Shruick.

"Girl, you are a bit too wild. Let's teach you some discipline." the crusader said with a slightly pained smile as he moved towards Maria, intent on disarming her completely.

Use the flail's chain the same way as the thurible's and prevent her remaining arm's movement.

Z&D: The Fall of a God, Turn 39.5: The Iron Herald
« Reply #464 on: September 30, 2012, 05:47:07 am »

More exposition!

Sareesa sat next to Serran, many of the Priestesses had retired for the evening, only four guards and Sareesa herself remained awake.  They were in a much smaller side-chamber that for the moment was being used as a ritual room.  Sareesa's face remained largely emotionless, hints of compassion could be seen though, from time to time.  "I know what it's like to be in your shoes, taken from everything you know, forced into a new world..." she says pausing for a moment.  Serran's face remained etched with worry.  "This is a first and necessary step though, just as it was for me.  I wanted you to know... I chose you for this specifically, nobody else would have the same effect as you Serran.  We now stand together, you understand?"  Serran nodded meekly, renewed tears running down his face.

Sareesa leaned in closer her voice a whisper and magically enchanted.  "Save your tears, for when pain has released its grip from you.  Put your fears in a far off place, for your fire will turn thousands of hearts to us."  Serran's tears seemed to stop and Sareesa untied the gag in his mouth.

Serran whispered back, "I understand, my goddess."  Sareesa smiled a little, her compulsion was having a remarkable effect on the young man.  She put her hand on his shoulder and rubbed lightly.  Serran fought to regain control, but the newly freed goddess had fully ensnared his will and replaced it with her own.

Sareesa switched position kneeling in front of Serran and begins to work the transformative magic.  [5] in next to no time at all Serran's body had morphed into that of a half-human, half-dragon thing.  He had four limbs his arms doubling for wings, albeit inefficient ones.  He could stand on only his hind-legs with great effort.  When he did so he was about three times the size of a normal human.  His entire body was covered with dull, grey, iron scales.  Sareesa smiled at his new, yet still bound form.  "Do you see how beautiful I've made you?  Your form is much more suited for heralding my return now.  The faithful will no doubt return to worshipping me, the true goddess of this world."  Sareesa's short blonde hair covered her eyes as she went in closer, hugging Serran, the Iron Herald of Sareesa.
