Zealots and Demons, Turn 26: Purifying Altar!Action: Loot the Pirate Mage!
[1] You are so distracted by the conversation you forget all about the Pirate Mage. Somehow you realize that all the blood covering you disappears... odd that.
Take a resilient thurible/incensary from the Cathedral, as well as material to start a fire and some more religious material (store them in Mordekhai's handy pouches and bags). Wrap Shruick's corpse in various bedsheets or similar materials.
[1] This on-ship Cathedral doesn't appear to have the same level of amenities you are used to as their more grounded counterparts. Perhaps the Priests are expected to bring their own equipment? [3] You do fine some linens for wrapping corpses in though. You proceed to wrap up the Draconian's body as best you can.
Examine that book I just received. And then purge the altar of it's taint!
[4] You open the book and begin going through it. Some of the stuff inside is pretty advanced, but if you're reading this correctly it details the creation of new spells from raw magical energy. If you had more time you might be able to figure it out, but just knowing what IT is is useful in it's own way.
[5] You purge the altar allowing it to resume it's former purpose. The blood seems to drain away. You feel a vague aura of satisfaction like energy flowing into and through your body.
Attend to wounds. Ask for assistance.
[4] You look down at your wounds and see them begin to heal. Whatever that mage did to the altar provided some sort of real benefit to you. [whatever] You really don't see any need to ask for assistance as long as Belessunu is healing you for purifying the altar.
Heal Tikan's throat, and then start to remove the demonic taint upon this place/
[whatever] There really is no further need to heal Tikan. [6] You try to get rid of some of the more profane drawings over the tapestries, somehow though you managed to erase all the color out of the tapestry in total, leaving just a thick, white, cloth wall covering behind.
