Zealots and Demons, Turn 23: In which there is much death.Thrust into the demon's eyes.
[2] You stand there, feeling a little woozy. You try to swing for the demon but he is too fast for you in your current state and dodges out of the way.
Continue fighting, finish off the armless Zombie Guard 1
[2] Between the two zombies you spend more time defending yourself than doing anything useful.
Use tail to fling the Crusader away and get back on feet.
[4] [6+2-3=5 damage] The demon manages to grab ahold of Morekhai's leg and flings him into one of the benches, toppling it over. The shield visibly breaks on impact. [3] The demon manages to get back up to his feet again.
Kill the Draconian!
[5] [6x2=12 damage] THe zombie assaults Shurick with renewed vigor his claws and teeth ripping and tearing. The Draconian is little more than a bloodied husk by the time the zombie is done with him.
If Nepthym isn't able to rescue the captured person in time, then do it.
[5] Ever focused, Mordekhai gets up not letting the demon stop him from his mission. He runs towards the captured crewmember, hoists her up over his shoulder and manages to drop her off just outside of the Cathedral before popping back in the Cathedral.
Kill the Draconian!
[3] [5/2=3 damage] The guard manages to finish off the Draconian and soon the zombies go into a feeding frenzy forgetting about everyone else.
Aegnor Swung hard at the pirate mage, deciding that a hit to the crotch should stun him.
[5] [6x2=12 damage] Unexpectedly the priest takes the offensive, smashing the pirate first in the crotch before delivering a flurry of blows that would make most people wilt. Soon the Pirate is little more than a bloody crumpled heap.
Recover from beating, shoot the berserker priest
[6] The mage surprisingly manages to stand back up. [6 damage] Just in time to be hit in the head by Aegnor again. [2] Aegnor knocks the pistol from his hand as he draws it prompting the mage to yell. "What? WHAT IN THE NETHER ARE YOU?!" ((Final Blow Rolls)) [6(pirate) v 6(Aegnor)] [2 v 6] The Pirate fails to defend himself at all as Aegnor deals the final blow, his staff breaking the pirate mage's neck. His head turning around about one-hundred ten degrees as he falls to the ground, dead.
Action: Preform a kip-up, then avoid the Demon and rescue the crewmember from the Altar, removing her from the line of fire.
Basic attack against the demon. (autoed)
[5] [6+1x2=14 damage] You just barely rise to your feet and see an opening, you plunge your dagger into the now unprotected back of the Demon Shaman. As he bursts into unholy flames you whisper, "The job is finished." In the corner of your mind you can hear him whisper back, "It matters not. . . I. . . am eternal." You wish he was wrong, but you know a few months from now he will just be reborn in the Nether, stronger for his trials here. You wish momentarily that you had the power to absorb the very essence of his soul, and then destroy it. But that ability has not been seen for a very long time.

((Well... that ended really abruptly. Also I am deeply sorry CrimsonEon, feel free to rejoin with a different character if you'd like and I'll put you on the waiting list. I always feel bad when my players die... but such is the way the dice are rolled.))
((In lighter news, Aegnor gains +1 to Melee attack, Tikan has gained +1 Damage Resist, Mordekhai gains +1 Intuition, and Nepthym gains +1 Point in Melee as well. I'm shooting a message off down the waiting list, first to respond back will get to be the crew member you all just rescued.))
