If nothing came up, Tikan thought, she'd have to flee back to her room for the afternoon... Actually, maybe looking around for the library would be a better idea: even if there wasn't anything useful, at least there was bound to be something interesting... not like this aimless and - to her - mostly incomprehensible chitchat. Oh well.

Wait for an opportune and polite moment to interrupt, and then ask the Draconian where they're from, and what they know about Vel'dor.

"Hey! Is it true what they say about Vel'dor? I mean... all the little things I've heard... it sounds big!"

((@V-Norrec: I'm the only one who doesn't have a reason to go into a bar and enjoy tea, though. :P))

Smoke.

Nepthym weighed the danger of staying here-whoever it was had just recently left, judging by the smoke-and they could come back anytime.

She decided there wasn't much choice. Nepth had to wait till the guards passed by this part of the ship, anyway...might as well see if there was something useful here. She minded the best hiding spots, just in case.

Action: Carefully search the room. Try not to disturb things right now. Be prepared to jump under the bed or into the closet if I heard someone at the door.

((@GM: I need to find the sneaky creature before we get grouped up unless you find a better way of getting her in the Main Lounge. 'Tis a matter of honor and I have a way of doing it. D:<))

After checking the corridors and finding nothing, only hearing the sound of a door slamming shut, Mordekhai prepared to move to the barracks and have some rest. He had been going at it for hours, and it was already time to surrender his position for the next guard in his shift.

Not only that, he had to take care of his hygiene...Even if he didn't go to sleep, it would be in bad taste to walk around the ship without taking at least a bath after so much time working, even if hadn't sweated or anything. Probably a reflex of the disciplined lifestyle he had adopted.

The crusader was mysteriously sidetracked to the Main Lounge, staring at the various "Halls", stopping a moment to wonder at what kinds of entertainement they had and quickly getting to the conclusion none of them fit his tastes unless they had a good sparring ring.

The time spent thinking, however, brought one thing into attention. No one was supposed to be at the corridor he had checked, but yet, he could swear he had heard the sound of a door moving...Maybe...Well, he doubted it, but checking the place again wouldn't hurt, would it?

...No, better leave it at that.

Lean against one of the walls of the Main Lounge and stay there.

Shruick nodded curtly on each pause of the barman's short quips. He was a bit hard to follow at times, but Shruick has listened to him enough to at least decipher general meaning.

The woman's sudden question nearly startles Shruick, he had almost forgotten she was there in the relative silence.

Shruick jumped slightly before replying, "Sorry, I wouldn't know anything about that, Ma'am." Though, now his curiosity was stoked, Shruick turned to the barman, "Hey Barkeep, I haven't really heard much about this place either, I only just got on this job. What's it like?" Shruick inquired, focusing on deciphering his accent.

Aegnor Sighed, for some reason, everything he did was seeming pretty mediocre. Still, he was determined to enjoy the cup of tea that had come his way. His eyes wandered across the lounge, seeing the patrons. Well, it is a pretty good ship, so he shouldn't be that surprised at the variety of people on-board, right.

He shook his head, and focused on his tea, he can always talk to others later.

Let the tea cool a little, and then drink it.

Tikan listened intently to what the barman had to say. As rude as it was, she couldn't help leaning into the Draconian from time to time with a puzzled look on her face.

"Just... what? What's he say?"

She wondered if there was any way of steering this baffling conversation towards the chances of her getting work helping out in the diner or at the bar.

Minuet saw Aegnor wasn't in the mood for talking, so the red-headed elf went around to the patrons at the bar and offered them tea as well. "I'm Minuet! Is there anything I can get you today?" she asked the two at the bar, giving Shruick a nod of recognition from one employee to another.

Zealots and Demons, Turn 4 - Overly Intimidating Crusaders, Fantastic Tea

Quote from: lawastooshort
Wait for an opportune and polite moment to interrupt, and then ask the Draconian where they're from, and what they know about Vel'dor.

[3] Tikan found a moment to interject herself in the conversation, but it was clear that the male Draconian wasn't really paying attention to her. (See CrimsonEon's turn)

Action: Carefully search the room. Try not to disturb things right now. Be prepared to jump under the bed or into the closet if I heard someone at the door.

[4] The Rah'cl'til searched the room quickly, carefully, and most importantly, quietly. The only problem was that there was little to investigate without actually disturbing things; nevertheless, someone had left their boarding pass among the scattered papers. The name on it was Jacelyna Murrein, a female name; if she was feeling bold she could take it and try to pass herself off as this woman, although she'd have to hope she was traveling alone and no one would recognize her. Also on the bed was a brochure for the flight that noted while alcoholic and special beverages - as well as most foods - needed to be bought, plain green tea, black coffee, and bread were free and always available in the lounge. Her stomach and throat told her that was where she wanted to go, before she perished from thirst and lack of food.

Mordekhai leaned on the wall of the lounge and earned his pay by looking intimidating. Surely any evil-doers in the area would falter at the sight of his magnificent, gleaming, sanctified heavy armor and spiked flail. [6] He looked a little TOO intimidating, and some of the patrons left, glancing at him nervously. Minuet glared at him for potentially costing her tip money.

Quote from: CrimsonEon
"Hey Barkeep, I haven't really heard much about this place either, I only just got on this job. What's it like?" Shruick inquired, focusing on deciphering his accent.

The barkeeper - a human with short black hair and brown eyes and a finely-trimmed beard, who decided he's tired of being called Barkeep and introduces himself as Raleigh - put another kettle of tea on to boil as he considered the question. "It's a fine life for those that like it. We get free time in every port - usually a few hours, but up to a day once or twice - and get to meet a lot of people and find out their stories, who they are and where they're going, why they're going there. The pay isn't great, but there's enough to buy souvenirs at our stops. Not a great life, but certainly not a bad one. Of course, there are downsides... the skies aren't always friendly." [4-1 Distraction] Shruick thought the man's accent was from the southern lands, but he couldn't quite place it because he was distracted both by Minuet asking him if he wants anything and a small human female asking him where he's from and what he knows about Vel'dor. [2] Shruick knew very little about Vel'dor; only that it used to have a different name but was given the new one in honor of a troll hero. He also answered her other question with a simple 'from the mountains, like all Draconians.'

Quote from: Ochita
Let the tea cool a little, and then drink it.

[5] Aegnor waited for a few moments while he let his mind wander, wondering who these fellows in the lounge were and what that guard's problem was. He didn't look very happy. Maybe he had gotten yelled at by his boss? Quite without thinking, the elf took a sip of his tea and was pleasantly surprised to find it had cooled slightly to just the perfect temperature. In fact, now that he had time to savor it, he was enjoying the beverage immensely.

NPC's:

Capitain Valanos Ironshield, Captain of the Z.C.A.S. Stormrider: The captain continues reading the message, letting First Mate Loughton take the wheel for the moment.
