(Just to check real quick, because I won't be able to write the turn for a couple of hours at least: it's a two to one vote to kill Green-Fur?)

Zealots & Demons, Turn 68: Pacifism Fail

Quote from:  Aegnor Tinúviel / Ochita
To the tavern, and keep a hood on.
Quote from:  Kael Jungothr / Zako
Head to the tavern and check it out from the outside. Try not to catch too much attention this time...
Quote from:  Fleur / SeriousConcentrate
Lead the way to the tavern.

Fleur led the way to the tavern. (Encounter: 5) Although they moved through crowds of people along the way - some of whom they actually recognized from the initial mob chasing them previously - no one gave them a second look. One of them even clapped Kael on the shoulder and thanked him and the Zealots for running a patrol in town, since they didn't want any of the 'wrong kind' of people around. Flustered, Fleur just ignored the masses and got them to the tavern as quickly as possible, holding the door open for Aegnor and Kael when they arrived and slinking in last.

Inside the tavern was the environment of a small town meeting house. A few people were seated at the bar engaged in quiet conversation, some were loudly playing cards at the tables, another group was playing a strange game where one would place their hand palm down and fingers outstretched on the table and apparently try to stab the spaces between the fingers as many times as possible before hitting themselves. Large bets were being exchanged over it. (Intuition, A: 3+2. K: 4+1.) Aegnor glanced at Kael, then motion with his head toward a dark corner. The troll nodded in response; he had noticed the person watching them as well. Fleur hadn't yet, as she had approached the bar to buy them some ale so they could try to fit in for a few minutes.

What would they do?

Quote from:  Mordekhai Sarvedon / Caellath
Swing the flail sideways at green-fur to get him away from Tikan. If it doesn't work, bash him with the shield.
Quote from:  Akari Talria / Tiruin
Re-conjure up that writing equipment I got earlier, then conjure up some medical equipment I can use for healing these guys.
Quote from:  Tikan / lawastooshort
stab him (G-F) in the face.
Quote from:  Green-Fur / SeriousConcentrate
With both his allies gone - but particularly Blade-Tail - Greenfur elects to get his ass out of there.
(Initiative: Mordekhai, Green-Fur, Tikan)

Mordekhai dashed over and swung his flail at the side of Green-Fur's head. (5. 5+1x2=12 damage.) The man's neck bent at a bad angle with a cracking sound and he ragdolled to the side. The crusader gave Tikan a hand up out of the muck, and she brushed as much of the mud off of her clothes and hair as possible with her hands. Then she stabbed Green-Fur's corpse in the forehead, because, well... why not make sure he was down permanently?

Akari observed that with an expression best summed up as :| and attempted to conjure some things. (2, 3... although didn't she conjure up a medkit earlier? And V-N, you think we should start taking mana or money for all this conjuration? >.>) She didn't make much of anything as she was still peeved at her allies not even giving her plan a chance at working. Now that the combat had ended, where did they want to go? The saturated apartment building, the tavern, or the airship dock? Or did they want to look for other things?

Green-Fur: -1/30 HP, 11/15 Energy

Aegnor nodded in the corner, his head covered by the robes hood, and the fact that his hand was rubbing over his eyes, as if he was tired. Deciding that he should at least try to appear to not notice the person staring at them, he looked at kael, but he kept the person in his side-view, making sure that if that person made a move he would know about it.

"Bloody freezing, eh mate?" Patting Kael's shoulder, he then moved his hands as if they were cold and started to act as if he was heating them up.

Try to get a view of the person watching us, try not to let that person notice me looking at them though.

((I'm fine with it as it is, just gotta follow your nose and the clues you can find to find the people you want.))

"I hadn't really noticed. Go grab a spot, would ya?"

Kael motioned silently for his companion to go off on his own thing and approached the bar to stand next to Fleur. Maybe this stranger knew something? He tapped Fleur on the arm quietly and motioned with his head at the stranger.

"See anyone ya recognise around here?" He said quietly to her, waiting for the drinks.

Help Fleur with the drinks as well as getting a table. Ask question.

Aegnor moved around Kael so that he had a better view of the person watching them. (Observation: 5. Sneakiness: 5 vs 3.) The watcher didn't seem to have the least clue of his plan, and from his new vantage point he had a perfect view of... her. It was definitely a her; although she was wearing clothing to minimize her features and present as little as possible of herself to inspection, Aegnor noticed she hadn't been able to resist putting on a little dark blue eyeshadow. It accentuated her light blue eyes well, in his opinion. As for clothing, she wore a long leather coat buttoned up the front, with a brown cloth shawl hanging over it to her waist. A broadbrimmed brown hat hid her face from most angles - but not the one he'd gotten, the elf thought, pleased with himself. He thought he saw a bit of blonde hair tucked under the hat. On the table in front of her was an open book, although he couldn't make out any of the words from where he stood.

Something about her stood out more than everyone else, (Intuition: 4) although it took him a moment to place it. Unlike everyone else, she was an elf. She had the points of her ears hidden in her hat as well, but he recognized many of the characteristics of his own race now that he was looking for them. As he watched, she went back to pretending to read her book while keeping an eye on him, Kael, and Fleur, pausing occasionally to write something in the margins of the pages.

((Aegnor, the counter-spy. Plus also an expert on fashion concerning make-up.))

Aegnor patted kael's shoulder again, acting like he was really happy to be his troll companion. Nodding slightly at the watching figure, he whispered to kael
"She's an Elf like me, cares about her appearance, enough so to wear make-up even when she's going undercover. Possibly blond hair under the hat. Light blue eyes. Doesn't know that I know that she's staring at us."

Stopping the shoulder patting of Kael, he nods towards the table in the corner, and then towards fleur, seeming as if he wants to discuss this with her.

(Since both of you are talking to Fleur, I might as well mini-turn it. ^^^)

"Non, monsieur Kael. I do not come to this part of town often," she said to the troll as they waited for their drinks. The tavern wasn't overly crowded, which made sense given both previous events and the time of day, so it didn't take long for them to be served. She headed back to give Aegnor his drink, and as she did so the elf indicated he wanted to talk to her in the table in the corner. She smiled and did as he requested, finding a seat. "What iz it, Aegnor?" Fleur asked, taking a drink from her tankard.

Mordekhai quickly cleaned the spiky bits of his flail, looking over to Akari. "How are you, miss? I'm sorry, but it was needed. I'd rather have him dead as soon as possible than risk Tikan's life."

He then crouched to check on the bodies. He wasn't against looting the dead, since he had been told any extra supplies that helped him kill his enemies were good supplies indeed, no matter if the equipment was taken from corpses or not.

Check the corpses for loot.

Aegnor rubbed the side of his neck idly, seemingly quite bored.

"Oh Fleur, it just seems that there is indeed a female watching us. Elven, writing down notes in a book. Has blond hair and light blue eyes, and is unprofessional enough to wear dark blue eyeshadow when attempting to give no clues on who she is. She doesn't know yet, trust me."

Aegnor sips his drink slightly, and waits for a reply from fleur.

Mordekhai: There didn't appear to be much loot. The trio wasn't carrying any weapons and their clothing was rather lower-class; it wouldn't fetch even a coin at most places. Nevertheless, Mordekhai checked the pockets of his two kills and found (3, 4) an old, half-eaten apple in Blade-Tail's pockets and five coins in Green-Fur's pockets. (I'm giving la a chance to check Spider-Eyes, since he got that kill and it's fair that way. Mordekhai wouldn't do something unfair like steal from someone else's kill, right? :P) He supposed if he had some sort of heavy cutting instrument - or a LOT of patience - he might be able to hack through the scaled tail of the one man and take the blade from it, although it probably wouldn't be useful on its own.

Aegnor: "Ah?" Fleur glanced over in the female elf's direction, looking slightly miffed about something. "Who do you suppose she iz? She does not look like a pirate," the draconian speculated.

"Yeah, my fault." Akari said, disappointed. "Sorry Tikan for not helping you..."

The Kitsune looked at Mordekhai while pulling the medkit out from her robes. "Anyone need some field triage? I know how to use this."

Agree with wherever Tikan wanted to go. Heal most wounded member that isn't me.

((Hmmm, I like it because it actually is allowing the enchanting skill to be used (albeit not for enchanting like I thought you'd be using it for), but I suppose I really should be charging for it's use in mana.  I dunno, send me a PM with what you think reasonable prices are since you're running this for the moment, I'll contribute my thoughts.))

Whisper, Whisper...

"You don't have anything to feel bad about...they would have done worse to you. I'm glad you're okay...and, about something else...

Hmm. It's an odd feeling, fading away. But, I think I am, I can hear...It's like a heartbeat. It's your heartbeat...it's so strong. Like it was before.

Thump...Thump

I'm not sure you need me anymore...at least, not in this way. Would you miss me if I left again...? Miss my voice?"
Nepthym says, quiet and sad.

Kael took a seat next to Aegnor and grabbed a mug, swirling the contents thoughtfully.

"Have either of ya told anyone that we were coming here? Have any ideas of who she is, and what she wants?"
