((Whoops, I guess I phrased my question a little weird. What I meant by that question was to ask him about the land we were going to, in such a manner to get a straight(er) answer out of him, and sort of *translate* his accent for Tikan  :P))

Sweet

Jacelyna Murrein. What a pretty name, Nepth thought...she supposed the woman was just another bored socialite, drifting from place to place, complaining her life lacked adventure.

Do you want to trade lives, dear? She asked. I promise, mine is full of excitement and danger. I'll take your boring and comfortable life and call it a fair swap.

She could use it. Blend in among the enemy, like a Rock Viper among the scree. Maybe snake was a bad reference. All she wanted was something to eat, for Gods sake. Tea was a weak drink (a womans drink), but it would quench her throat. It might even be fun to walk among them, pretend to be one of them, take their precious things right from under their noses-Nepthym didn't really mind stealing bread, from the mouths of decadence.

She moved to the closet. Nepthym needed to borrow some clothes...hopefully they fit her. And she could use a new pair of shoes.

Borrow?

An interesting term. It's not like she intended to give anything back. As long as she didn't run into this Jacelyna woman, all would be well. Their relative orbits need not collide.

Action: Go under cover using this womans identity-wear her clothes, use her ID. Make sure to get a cloak if possible, that hides my carrying bag, where I'm storing most of my meager personal possessions.

Then, to the Lounge, I say! Bread and Tea ahoy!

"Hello... uh, Minuet? Tea would be nice, thank you... Say, have you been to Vel'dor before? Do they..." she got a little closer and lowered her voice, vaguely nodding towards Raleigh. "Do they all talk like that? I've got to work there and I'm never going to understand anyone! How far have we got left to go?"

Although it was an entirely new experience for her, Tikan was beginning to enjoy the normalness of just being a traveller on her way to somewhere new. She could never really let her guard down, but she was also beginning to feel she could relax a little. She tried to remember to play her public role and resist the pull of the corners of the large dining room. She'd had to for most of her life, it wasn't a few months of drifting that was going to change that, even if she did sometimes dream of the easier life where she no longer had to pretend one way or the other.

Ask for tea and politely join in conversation.

((I love your names, for the record, I really love your names.  For reference, at current speed you'll reach your destination in three days by air.  No, they don't all talk with a really thick Scottish accent like the bartender does in my head.  It's just a continuation of a thing from the first game and also a good reason to not understand somebody.))

In the Library Hall, a young woman, twenty-two by looks sat reading a book.  She was wearing a detailed brown dress with a high collar that completely obscured her neck.  The dress had a slightly lighter brown center with a golden trim that extended up to the collar.  The sleeves were unattached to the dress leaving her shoulders exposed but they still had the same golden trim.  Underneath the sleeves she was wearing a pair of white silken gloves.  Just barely visible when she shifted the right way the woman was wearing red stockings.  Over her feet were simple brown shoes that contrasted the stockings nicely and matched her dress.  Her name was Jacelyna Murrein.

Though she looked like she was reading she was actually waiting, for something that might not ever come.  She turned the page of her book and looked towards the door.  "He promised to meet me here," she thought somewhat dejectedly.  Flipping the page again a note came out.  Jacelyna looked curiously at the note and unfolded it.  The note read simply, "We have arrived."  Jacelyna puzzled at the meaning for a moment before showing it to the librarian, who seemed to be more concerned about it than would be normal.  Jacelyna went back to her seat, nervously fidgeting and trying to read, her mind kept coming back to the note and what it might mean.

The crusader watched as some of the patrons started to leave, occasionally glancing at him. It seemed they were slightly afraid of him, part of which he could understand due to his armor and weapon; even then, those who owe nothing fear nothing, he believed. If their intentions weren't wicked, he didn't see any reason for them to feel concerned about one of the ship's guards.

He watched the customers leaving the lounge...and realized an elven waitress was glaring at him in a show of bad mood. Maybe because less patrons meant the possibility of less tips, although Mordekhai hadn't seen much in the way of generosity coming from any of them so far and seriously doubted their absence would affect her gains in any way.

In any case, his shift was over already and the other guard would probably take over from now. His appearance didn't seem to be doing any good to anyone in the lounge and the elven waitress would probably keep fuming at him like the crusader had just stole a goldmine from her, unlikely as it was for her to get good tips for the night...But Mordekhai felt part of the guilt was his; even if the patrons were looking tight-fisted, he had indirectly denied her the chance of testing her luck.

Check how much money I got on me. If it is enough for a generous tip then ask for tea and give Minuet the tip, but don't touch the tea. If it isn't enough, then just stay in the same place.

Shruick listened on as Raleigh continued on, explaining about the life aboard the ship. Not really what Shruick had asked about, but interesting nonetheless. When Raleigh reached an acceptable pause, Shruick spoke "I see, I guess it's a good life for people who love to be on the move." Shruick paused to glance behind his shoulder, the elf had begun to talk to the waitress. Good, Shruick supposed, she'll probably get a better answer from her.

Turning back to Raleigh, Shruick poised with another question, "So what about the-" he was interrupted by a sudden dry clot in his throat. When was the last time I had something to drink?, Shruick thought as he coughed once, he turned to Minuet briefly.

"Sorry to interject, could I get a tea as well on your next run?" Shruick asked, with a noticable dryness in his voice.

Aegnor sighed, and enjoyed the tea. The crusader bothered him a little bit, due to the fact that he seems ready to arrest someone at anytime. Deciding that nothing interesting would happen, after a moment or two, he decides to take a small nap.

Take a small nap.

Zealots and Demons, Turn 5:

Action: Go under cover using this womans identity-wear her clothes, use her ID. Make sure to get a cloak if possible, that hides my carrying bag, where I'm storing most of my meager personal possessions.

Then, to the Lounge, I say! Bread and Tea ahoy!

[4]  You open the closet and see an assortment of clothes.  Most of them are pretty boring looking. You slip into a plain looking brown dress.  You admire yourself in the mirror for a bit as you put the shoes on.  It doesn't fit perfectly, but is a lot better than what you were wearing.  Unfortunately she doesn't seem to have brought a cloak with her, or perhaps she is wearing it.  Either way, she does have a messenger bag though and you put your possessions in that instead.  Looking in the mirror now you'd say you look fairly complete.

[3] It takes you a while and you feel like you are constantly being watched despite the relatively unoccupied hallways, only a few people passing you.  Finally you arrive in the Lounge though.  You quickly take two cups of tea and some bread, eating them all rather quickly, not really caring what the others think.

[3] You are served a cup full of tea and sit attentively, listening to the conversation.

[4] All the charges for food and board during the journey are are charged directly against your pay so, you're not really sure exactly how much money you have, it's enough though and you leave a generous tip for the tea, which you haven't touched.

[5]  You continue listening, easily deciphering the accent now.  You take the last of Minuet's prepared tea and drink a little bit of it before going back to listening.

Quote from: Ochita
Take a small nap.

[6] Perhaps it's from training, or perhaps you are truly just tired.  Either way you fall asleep instantly.  If the others are listening, they might even hear you snore a little.

NPC's:
Captain Valanos Ironshield, Captain of the Z.C.A.S. Stormrider: [5] "Whatever this note means, it's clearly not good," the Captain mused.  [4] "This is your Captain speaking, the Entertainment Halls are being closed off and Living Quarters are being searched in accordance with regulations.  Please remain calm." he says pressing the necessary buttons to close of the Entertainment Halls.  "Try to locate any weapons, search anyone outside of the halls, then go through the Entertainment Halls one by one." he commands.

Marshall Jyk: [6]  A little overzealously, Marshall Jyk instructs the guards to apprehend everyone outside of the Entertainment Halls and move them to the brig for questiontioning.  Minuet, Shruick, Raleigh, and Tikan are in one cell.  Aegnor, now awakened, Mordekhai, and Nepthym were in a second.  Raleigh piped up, "Well this is a right fine situation now, innit?  "Juss goin' aboat me business and 'da Captain tosses us in here, square ta' go like."

Patience

Nepthym sat cross legged, observing her new cellmates from the opposite end of the room-an Elven Spellcaster and a Human Crusader. They seemed confused to be here.

She didn't think they could have caught onto her so fast. It wasn't possible-and they wouldn't flip the vessel, taking all these people, if they knew it was her. If she had been found out, they'd be looking for a woman in the clothes she was wearing.

Not, that logic could always be proscribed to any one persons action. Maybe they just grabbed everyone on precaution. She would remain calm, of course. Keep it cool. Don't get nervous.

She doubted she would get out of this one, all the same.

...

Nepthym continued to watch the others carefully, with the trace hint of mistrust. She didn't bother to speak, yet.

Action: Sit tight

OOC: They left us with all of our equipment, btw?

Shruick, immediately appaled by the sudden arrest, beats against the door a couple times. "Dammit, I work here! I deserve to at least know what the hell is going on!"

Shruick sighs at the responding silence. "You and me both, Raleigh", Shruick mutters in defeat. Picking himself off the door, Shruick lumbers over to an empty wall and slumps to the ground. "What's your money on, mine's on Pirates." Shruick mused aloud, "Maybe the captain's discovered an agent aboard the ship and now he's questioning everyone. That'd be a downright paranoid reason to round up everyone on the ship if you ask me."

Shruick chuckled nervously before falling silent, shouting theories isn't going to help anything. Paranoia isn't one state of mind he fell into often, but then again he wasn't under suspicion of anything that often either. While listening to the others, Shruick opts to study the locks on the doors, if there are any. Maybe if worse came to worse, he could quickly spring the lock.

Mordekhai was calmly sitting by an elven healer and a patron's side. His shift had ended in a spectacular way, it seemed. He had been dragged off to a cell without any explanation to what was happening even though he was one of the employees.

All in all, nothing to worry about. There weren't any immediate problems except for the fact he was being held in a cell, and it probably wouldn't take long for an interrogation to take place and everyone be released.

Extreme security measures; something had really made the ship's personnel get riled up.

Anyway, shift was over, no more need for an aura of intimidation, which meant it was time to loosen up. Crossing his arms behind the helmet, he started to look at the people nearby. He had already seen the elf before, it was the one who was staring at the crusader while he stood guard and took a nap after Mordekhai asked for some tea. The young woman...Well, there was something unsettling about her. She had eaten very fast and in a good amount, and her body seemed a bit too thin, sickly so. Her skin seemed a bit dirty as well, as if she hadn't had much of a chance to take care of hygiene properly.

She amused him slightly, but staring wasn't in good order, since it wasn't polite. He simply turned his head back into place and kept waiting.

Wait.

Aegnor was scared and also confused. Being woken from a surprisingly deep nap was bad enough, but when it was a gloved hand, connected to a armored soldier, roughly telling him to follow them and not to do any funny business. He didn't 'think' that he did anything wrong.

Closing his eyes for a second, he thought about the situation. Considering that they didn't take his alchemy equipment, or his staff, and that the crusader was also thrown in here, it means that both staff and passengers were taken. Then it should be for a group, or a person?' Opening his eyes again, Aegnor sighs, and looks a fair bit more relieved. Taking an actual look around the cell, he seems to have that frankly somewhat scary crusader here, although now he seems to be pretty loose. He's probably only scary on the job, and a woman, with some very piercing blue eyes. She seemed like she was dreading the worst, and that she's been though a fair amount.

Sighing again, he spoke up. "So, I think we're going to be alright. I think, as long as us are in no secret societies or anything, aheh." Aegnor finished with an almost uncertain chuckle. Seeing that nothing was likely to happen for the while he decided to simply Relax.

Tikan tried to think about what was going on. Her father had trained her to control and hide, even to suppress her emotions, to present the blank face of the Five Wheels, and she'd practiced long and hard. She felt she could master herself: she'd been brought up to play, no, to be someone else at the same time as herself.

But this was unsettling. At the very moment she had felt she could let her guard down - this? A timely reminder of the unending path, for sure. But she was confused.

She reminded herself that she very clearly wasn't the only one taken. She hadn't done anything, she was far from her old enemies and, she was sure, undiscovered by them, so surely no one would go to all this trouble? She wondered what should be the normal reaction of an arrested travelling tutor. Fear? Worry? Indignation? She'd spent so long now drifting into her new character and new future that she hadn't given it enough thought. Sometimes the roles seemed to blur.

She decided to go with worry. She was only "one of them", as she'd heard some of the more finely dressed travellers say. Indignation probably wouldn't go down well. She tried to look like she imagined she should and listened to the Draconian's slightly, she thought, nervous wonderings.

She concentrated on the job she was travelling to, on who she was meant to be, and waited and listened.

After a while she piped up.

"Hey, the captain announced it was regulations, no?" she said, turning to her new companions. "You work on this ship - has this happened before? I'll never be able to take up my post if my patron hears I've been thrown into jail!"
