"It's very soft...feels like the home we never really had-the one we both lost."
You'll have to fight Eria for that couch...but please don't. I still have some pretty stranges images in my mind I might want to forget.

After a moment silently staring at the kitsune as she panicked, the crusader smiled brightly at Akari's answer. "I don't know the reasons, Aegnor didn't tell me. All in due time, what is important now is helping Fleur. I'll try to capture Maria without killing her, we may extract some answers."

And Maria would lose at the end of the day, as he had said. An end she should expect by following the path she had chosen, although he could not blame her for it.

Mordekhai moves on to get his armor, equipment and a shave before leaving.

"I don't know why you have decided to help, Mordekhai... well, I do, but I do not understand why Aegnor has chosen this. But I will help, gladly. It seems... just, and I am ready to leave this place. Do we know where this Maria is? I could perhaps take a look before all three of us turn up uninvited. You know, just to observe."

Wait for the others. If we know where she is, stake out Maria's hiding place, very cautiously.

((And then Fleur was probably a Hidden Badass.))

((Aye, she is definitely more than meats the eye.  *transforming noises*  *Fleur comes out as a 12 foot-tall Draconian with Lazer Sword, exploding Bolas and shoulder mounted-machine guns.*))

((Eh really though it is probably better this way.  You'll be meeting another person if you follow her around long enough who most certainly is a bad-ass.))

Zealots and Demons, Turn 55:  Rusty Caltrops

Quote from: Zako
Head back to the others and show them around town wherever they want to go. Be generally helpful and nice.

[4] You run into Fleur and the elf fellow from earlier, they seem somewhat anxious and want to be on about their business.

Quote from: Ochita
Give fleur healing potion, wait outside for her.

[3]  You hand the potion to Fleur and then go to wait around outside when the Troll from earlier comes up to you and starts asking if you need anything.  Maybe he could be recruited into helping you as well, since Nepthym is gone.

Quote from: Tiruin
Squee at the Snow!

Added action: Follow the Mordekhai Plan!

[5]You squee in the most incredibly cute manner at the snow and everything else about your new surroundings.  You follow Mordehkai around for some reason, instead of Fleur who would be the more obvious choice.

Quote from: Caellath
Mordekhai moves on to get his armor, equipment and a shave before leaving.

[3]  You run out with your posse and pick up your armor.  You ain't got time to shave though!  Besides, whiskers are awesome, they help keep your face warm, and are fun to stroke when you're thinking.  Nope, definitely keeping those whiskers.  As you turn to leave a giant nine foot tall black draconian seems to silently appear in front of you.

"Mordekhai, I presume.  I'm Raeph, a pleasure to finally meet you."  He says grabbing you by the hand and pulling your hand close to his chest in such a way that his hand is also close to yours.  You're still awestruck by the size of the Draconian though, you knew some were larger than others, but Raeph towers over you like an adult over a child.

"I wish you had arrived under better circumstances.  All the same I will do my best to make your stay a pleasant one, I will need a full report on what happened down in the Engine Room though.  Everyone else I might have been able to interview about it is either dead or ran off before gathering any pertinent information.  You might hold the clue that tells us just what happened... and also, if there is more to worry about that we originally anticipated." he explains.  You really ought just want to sneak out but somehow you think that now that the Draconian has his claws into you (figuratively speaking of course) there isn't going to be any escape until he gets the information he wants.  Just like most other Zealots really, determined and with a sense of justice.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Wait for the others. If we know where she is, stake out Maria's hiding place, very cautiously.

[1]  You sort of just stand around inside of the hospital, [3] until Mordekhai drags you along with him to the Zealot HQ.  Not nearly as grand as you thought it would be.

Quote from: Fleur
Take the Troll and Elf with me to pickup equipment, after giving ample notice to my supervisors that I'm leaving of course.

[1]  Fleur leaves in a hurry without saying a word to anyone.  [4]  She finds the Troll, Kael, and healer, Aegnor, waiting outside and decides to take both of you with her to her house.  She shows you into her Parlor to wait while she gets ready.  It's more sparse than what you would have expected, though you both look at the curios she has collected with polite interest while she prepares.  It isn't long until you hear her heading down the stairs again.

She's dressed in blackened leather now, black cloth covering anything the leather doesn't, excepting her face which is shrouded in darkness by her cloth hood.  [Melee Weapon: 3]  At her sides you see a couple of short daggers.  [Ranged Weapon: 2]  She has several knives mostly hidden under a leather strap just behind her shoulders.  [Misc. Equipment: 4] She also seems to be bringing along quite a few rusty caltrops.  You take careful note not to stand anywhere she's tossed them after remembering horror stories about Lockjaw.  "'Zere we go, are you both ready to go?" she asks, her face still smiling at you, though given the new outfit it seems unfitting.

"Sir, it will be a pleasure, but I believe a written report is something more adequate and I need enough time to transcribe what happened into paper." he said, trying to escape the draconian.

Mordekhai himself was quite tall for a human, towering above a good amount of people and making his armor lighter on him, but he never knew the people with scales could get to such a size. Living, learning and being crushed, he supposed.

"I need some leeway. I'm trying to clear my head right now to write a proper report. I have been unconscious for two days after the crash, I'm not quite well and my mind is still in disarray." the crusader said with the utmost sincerity. One thing he had was been boudn to was avoiding lying to people. He preferred to try and convince the Zealot through truth than attempt to con then man.

Try to apologize and give and excuse before leaving the place and go looking for Fleur. If he still isn't satisfied, then give him a short voice report and leave afterwards.

Kael was taken aback somewhat after seeing the nice nurse come downstairs in armor and weapons. The caltrops gave away what kind of warrior she was though, which was unsettling for him.

"I never realized ya had this... Side to ya. I can see you're an assassin of some kind. I'd like to know about who you're after and why do ya have such a... Unlikely profession."

"Well, to be 'onest, it was not my choice.  I owe a life debt to ze guild leader, so, I do what I need to.  Usually, I just get our people in and out of ze 'ospital without a fuss, we are stretched thin now zough, being pulled is many differing directions.  I know I 'unt a pirate named Maria, she was unable to locate what she sought on board ze Stormrider before ze crash.  I do not know who 'ired us, or why, but I know where she is.  We will find 'er and 'er unruly mob 'ere." she says gesturing to a map of the city behind her.  You look at the location, the slums built into the very walls that protect the city.  The houses used to be nice property but recently. . . well. . . after an explosion of a magic engine the whole place got sprinkled with residual wild magic, nothing has been right ever since.  Clean-up crews have been working on getting it under control, but it's a slow process and it'll likely be three more months until the area is 'livable' again.  Of course, that did little good for the people stuck there in quarantine. "I would suggest to you, find some way to suppress ze wild magic in an area around you.  I would not want you to grow an extra eye."

Kael looked long and hard at the nurse made assassin before sighing and shaking his head.

"Alright, i'll help ya only because shes a worse killer than yourself and needs to pay for her actions. But I recommend thinking over what ya want your life to be and if this is what ya really want, life debt or not.

How exactly do we protect ourselves from wild magic? I'm not really knowledgable in the ways of magic..."

Akari tapped Mordekhai's shoulder, all the while staring at his new friend.

"I think I have paper...and a quill somewhere here."

She didn't know what that was about, but perhaps it meant his former job on the ship, too?

Conjure writing implements! Turn around while doing so.

"You 'ave your path, I 'ave mine.  I will not dis'onor ze debt I owe.  As for protection from wild magic, zere are several different ways.  Personally, I zink zat ze best way is through ze alchemaic process.  Better zan enchanting an item and zen losing it in ze 'eat of a fight.  Of course, you 'ave to make sure you are gone by a certain time zen.

Tikan turns to Mordekhai before turning to leave.

"You know, I feel like an intruder in this place... Unless you wish me to scribe for you, I shall wait outside."

Go wait outside on the steps unless required.

"Fair enough, it's your choice after all. I'm no zealot, despite looking somewhat like one.

Where exactly can we find potions that can protect us against wild magic? How long do they typically last?"
