Ahhh, so it wasn't the gun that had the spell effects, but the bullets... Ok, got to keep that in mind.

"And I'm a long way away from getting tired." he answered Nepthym with a smile, putting a gloved hand on her neck, relief showing through his face as he saw she was well.

She smiled, reached up and gingerly plucked his hand from the back of her neck, though there was no hostility in this action. She sort of liked it. But being who she was...

"...Do you know what you're doing?

In my homeland, a man who lays hand on an woman without asking permission is introduced to a venomous snake, one whose paralytic toxin allows a person to only move their eyelids, but maintain all other senses-then he's staked with cactus barbs into desert hardpan via his wrists and ankles, during the hottest part of year. He's kept alive with a minimum of food, water and healing-until the vultures and coyotes have fed on his manhood and sweetmeats for 40 days and 40 nights.

Only then, may he ask her forgiveness. And she...may choose to be merciful, and only have him pulled apart by his arms and legs using four wild horses."

Not even Nepthym could keep a straight face with that one.

Mordekhai chuckled before answering with a meek smile.
"Hey, there was some metal and leather between my hand and your skin. I don't think your tradition applies here."

The crusader mused at how Nepthym had been more playful, even if her way of talking hadn't truly suffered major changes. She reminded
him a bit of Eria...Although he was fully aware of the danger that came with attaching the image of the girl he liked to Nep. If he had to like her, it would be for her own character, not due to his memories.

Mordekhai chuckled before answering with a meek smile.
"Hey, there was some metal and leather between my hand and your skin. I don't think your tradition applies here."

"I'm sure you'll be more careful next time. Just remember. Snakes. Vultures. Coyotes. Tigers too, did I mention Tigers...?" She added, blue eyes glittering with humor.

...

It felt good to joke around again, Nepthym thought. Amazing who you can meet, how things can change so quickly. Maybe there was some hope for her, yet.

"Do they have to feed on his manhood?" Akari said, "Won't that make him not a man, anymore?"

The concept was confusing. If vultures and coyotes can steal a man's sense of being..."Or...make him a thing? That'd be too harsh."

"You shouldn't try to delve too deep into these matters." Mord said to Akari, pulling the kitsune along with him with a bit of care, resting his hand on her shoulder.

"You may end up discovering things better left untouched. And at least your culture doesn't include the tradition of killing men who touch your shoulder uninvited...or does it?"

Z&D: The Fall of a God, Turn 42: Critical Healing!

Zealots and Demons, Turn 42:  Critical Healing!

Quote from: Dwarmin
Action: Move on with the rest of the party-if it comes to a vote, I would go to the sub-deck first

[Group Move Roll later]

Quote from: lawastooshort
Move out and scout ahead, listening and looking carefully for the quicket and safest route.

You scout out ahead of the group, as you creep along, you hear the sounds of several people trying to force a door open.  [5]  You manage to hide yourself beneath a bench, avoiding the stampede of people looking for the lifeboats easily enough, after all, nobody is about to start looking underneath the benches.

Quote from: Tiruin
Sub board, ho!

[group move roll later]

Quote from: Ochita
Healer, Heal Thyself!

[5] [4x2=8 healed]  You quickly heal yourself.  You are feeling much better now, all that pain earlier was just you being a bit whiney, no doubt.

Quote from: Caellath
Heal self, then move on to the sub-deck. If Aegnor's healing fails, heal him instead.

[5] [6x2=12 healed (2 extra reassigned to Aegnor)]  You cast your own healing spell, your armor is going to need some attention later, but for now, your health is good and you can't complain.

Group Movement Roll

[4]  The group retraces some of it's old steps in order to arrive outside the sub-bridge.  You can hear soft sobbing from inside the smaller bridge.  You also notice that it really is close to the engine room, just one of those descending ladders away from and you could get right down in there to try and figure out what was going on.

Akari pondered if touching another's shoulder was a bad thing in her society. On one hand, there was the crime of attacking without reason, on the other, it was just a shoulder touch. Perhaps the former was going too far in thought.

Before she could answer, though, someone in a state of melancholy was heard.

"Oh dear, it sounds like someone's in trouble.

"I'll...go check on the sobbing instead of the Engines, if nobody minds,"
Akari said, holding her staff with both hands as she checked the general area for the source of the crying.

Nepthym head the sound as well.

"Careful-it could be some sort of trap." She said quietly, fading into the shadows.

Action: Accompany Akari, but stay stealthy and unseen. Watch out for trouble

(This is Z&D, not L4D, so I'm sure that won't actually happen but it's fun to speculate. XD More seriously though, I need to start work on the next part of that history bit soon...
@Ninja Dwar: 'Tis what I do. ^^^ You know me, though. Even if V-N asked me to roll this turn and Tir got a [1] I wouldn't sic a witch on him.)

Y u troll me, SC?  :P))

"I'm just hoping the passengers got out in time, and the Captain...you didn't see any notes or anything on the bridge, did you?" Akari said to Jacelyna, who was actually Nepthym.

(...Because I've been up for about twenty-three or so hours and I tend to get goofy after that long? >.> That and watching One F Jef derp his way through Assassin's Creed isn't helping me be very Serious right now. :P)
