"You say it like I really wanted to kill anyone. I'm a crusader, Aegnor." he answered turning his head to the healer. "I'm here to die for my allies, not to attack them. If I laid my weapon on someone I consider a friend, and ally or an innocent, I'd be breaking the only and one oath I swore to my master before he died."

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Neptyhm shrugged, smiling-mostly at the image of Mordekhai eyeing her rear as she went into the vent. Men.

She was fairly sure, that he was the only one wouldn't try to kill or capture her. She didn't know why, but was not one to take it for granted And he was-honestly-the only one she had to worry about in the group.

"Well, Just laying it out for everyone, since I already cold-bloody murdered to death enough people today, and I don't want to go over my quota, if you believe what the poster says about me.

And while I really do like my name-Nepthym, cause it's the only thing my mother could give me-I'd be obliged if you stick to Jacelyna in public. For your own safety, not mine, if you get my drift-to say, I never killed anyone that didn't intend the same for me, you can believe it if you like."

She joined Mordek in his search, dropping her act completely. It felt like a great weight was being lifted-let them come for her. Nepthym would face them-the glory of White Crows was undiminished, as long as she held the banner.

"...and for your information, I totally fermented a few rebellions." She said aside to him, in a jokingly serious tone

Ari let the dialogue of the people pass by her as she worked on the altar, she wondered if this particular band of people were together in this cause, or perhaps they just ran into a debate of something? She didn't know, and felt out of place by it all...

She turned around to see the three of them busy talking, along with one being healed. "So your nickname is Jacelyna...erm, Nerphtym...Nephthyme? And...what is going on here?"

Nepthym pointed her dagger at Ari, but in a non-threatening manner-she could have been using her finger.

"My real name is Nep-thym. But you call me Jacelyna. I'm a wanted criminal-four Kingdoms. We've all agreed no one will try to kill or capture me while we're on this vessel. You need to know anything else?"

"I'm a wanted criminal"

Ari blinked. So this was a motley group!

"Err, nothing else. Just...wait, how did you get on this ship if you are wanted? You seem like a pretty amiable person to me."

Nepthym remembered...

"Oh, I started a tiny fire near the dock-you might recall the oily smell as we shoved off-and grappled my way onto the side of the ship while they were distracted, then climbed up into the cargo hold and hid myself in a crate. Air fare these days, it's murder, am I right?"

"She is a pretty wild one." Mordekhai said, giggling before noticing something on what he had just said, turning to Nephtym. "Oh, and don't get the wrong idea about me looking at your back." he quipped at the young celestial, wondering what she had thought of his comment.

"My back, suuuure..." Nepthym drawled. "And, I don't mind the look, or lack thereof. That's always been something I could take or leave.

On the other thing, i'm just full of wrong ideas-i'm reticent criminal sociopath, remember what the poster said? You shouldn't trust me fella, I'm apt to snap any moment now, bite your head off."
She continued, in her own way-a conversational ramble-soldier chatter-lot of macho bullshit. She had grown up with that sort of soldier talk.

((OOC: @Caellath: FYI, I can't respond to any of your Pm's right now-sending all those for Sadthread D&D to all the players has maxed out my PM count for at least an hour. :P ))

Z&D: The Fall of a God, Turn 26: Purifying Altar!
« Reply #329 on: September 15, 2012, 04:05:19 am »

Zealots and Demons, Turn 26:  Purifying Altar!

Quote from: Dwarmin
Action: Loot the Pirate Mage!

[1]  You are so distracted by the conversation you forget all about the Pirate Mage.  Somehow you realize that all the blood covering you disappears... odd that.

Quote from: Caellath
Take a resilient thurible/incensary from the Cathedral, as well as material to start a fire and some more religious material (store them in Mordekhai's handy pouches and bags). Wrap Shruick's corpse in various bedsheets or similar materials.

[1]  This on-ship Cathedral doesn't appear to have the same level of amenities you are used to as their more grounded counterparts.  Perhaps the Priests are expected to bring their own equipment?  [3] You do fine some linens for wrapping corpses in though.  You proceed to wrap up the Draconian's body as best you can.

Quote from: Tiruin
Examine that book I just received. And then purge the altar of it's taint!

[4] You open the book and begin going through it.  Some of the stuff inside is pretty advanced, but if you're reading this correctly it details the creation of new spells from raw magical energy.  If you had more time you might be able to figure it out, but just knowing what IT is is useful in it's own way.

[5]  You purge the altar allowing it to resume it's former purpose.  The blood seems to drain away.  You feel a vague aura of satisfaction like energy flowing into and through your body.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Attend to wounds. Ask for assistance.

[4]  You look down at your wounds and see them begin to heal.  Whatever that mage did to the altar provided some sort of real benefit to you.  [whatever]  You really don't see any need to ask for assistance as long as Belessunu is healing you for purifying the altar.

Quote from: Ochita
Heal Tikan's throat, and then start to remove the demonic taint upon this place/

[whatever]  There really is no further need to heal Tikan.  [6]  You try to get rid of some of the more profane drawings over the tapestries, somehow though you managed to erase all the color out of the tapestry in total, leaving just a thick, white, cloth wall covering behind.
