Aegnor looks at his death staff, then at the shed door, then back to the staff. Starting to raise a hand and to open his mouth, he pauses, coughs slightly, and tries to not give the impression that he had an idea, the idea being death staff to the lock. Hoping to draw attention away from his not so great suggestion, he nods towards the grass.
"Yes, the wild magic here could be why the grass is looking cared for? That would make sense, if no-one bothered to deal with making this place look nice."

"I can give it a go. Not really my area though... Oh, hold on..."

Check through the window that the shed is unoccupied and safe to enter. If it appears so, try to quietly force the lock with my knife or a hairpin.

"Well, it's better than having to smash it loudly. If we can't open it, we'll come back later after we've checked out the rest of the building."

Stand guard while someone works on the lock.

((So sorry Norrec >_<))

Akari perked up at the sound of 'wild magic.'

"What was that Aegnor? Care for the grass? Erm, I'll try that," the Kitsune said as she moved back from the fence, "I just hope you don't mind me improvising on the spot."

Feel around for any traces of magic, then pluck out a grass blade and enchant it!

"What? No, I meant as in the wild magic in this area probably keeps the grass alive and well. Although, by not being a mage, I have none of the faintest idea on how the magic could do that."

He shrugs, and allows Akari to do whatever she was doing anyway. "I'm just going to check out the dried up pool, in case theres anything interesting there."

Investigate that pool!

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 84:  Defeated by a lock

Quote from: Caellath
Analyze the map again, trying to determine if the way inside is show in the map and where that would be using the area we are in as a base.

[5] Judging by the map, you're in the back yard.  It must have been an exit/entrance for servants back in the days of the mansion's use.  It's really a wild guess because the map doesn't have any rooms listed or anything, but you have a feeling you'd be entering into the kitchen.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Check through the window that the shed is unoccupied and safe to enter. If it appears so, try to quietly force the lock with my knife or a hairpin.

[4] You check through the window, it's shining bright and clean.  You don't really see anything out side of a few non threatening tools, a sink, and some cupboards so you unlock the door.  That wasn't so hard.

Quote from: Zako
Stand guard while someone works on the lock.

[5] You stand guard, but don't notice anything happening around you.  It would seem this area is not under any kind of surveillance, or at the very least the enemy doesn't like their chances against you out here.

Quote from: Tiruin
Feel around for any traces of magic, then pluck out a grass blade and enchant it!

[4] You pick out a grass blade and put it to your mouth, blowing on it producing a whistle-type noise.  While fun it really isn't an enchantment.  You think about what to enchant it with but you can't really decide on anything so you just forget about it for the moment.

Quote from: Ochita
Investigate that pool!

[4] You Investigate the dried pool.  The bottom is covered with dried blood now.  There is a pirate corpse impaled by a pair of gardening shears in the bottom.  It looks like he bled out down there.  You climb down the ladder and take a closer investigation of the surrounding area.  Some kind of magic sits heavy in the area, not like a trap, more just speaking to something unnatural to this dimension.  You check for personal effects on the pirate and find [3] a box of matches (16 left), and a dirty, banged-up pistol, as well as papers identifying the pirate as hailing from the Broken Isles.  Hard to believe the Zealots never caught him on their own islands.

Quote from: Fleur
Help by unlocking the shed.

[auto-fail]  Nothing really to help with.

((Best to search the shed first, then head inside I think. Never know what we might find!))

Seeing that the door to the shed was now unlocked, Kael nods his thanks and proceeds inside.

Open the door and head inside the shed to check it out. Take a good look around and then search the place for anything useful.

"Well, everything seems alright for now."

Wait until the team is ready to roll.

"Alright? That means nobody found anything?"

Akari sighed as gave up on her search, pocketing the grass while moving up close to Mordekhai, choosing to rest for the moment in hopes that someone better than she had found something more useful.

Mordekhai stared at Akari for some time before raising his helm's visor, slightly puzzled by her actions.
"Anything wrong, Akari? Are you feeling strange or ill?"

Akari smiled sheepishly, "Not ill Sir Mordekhai, just...confused, I think. " She looked him in the eye. "I mean, the day is growing as we speak...and I'd hope we'd find Maria ere the night..."

"Oh, do not worry." the crusader answered with a smile. "It is most likely just a matter of time until we get to Maria, and not much time even. Getting anxious will do you no good."

Z&D: The Fall of a God, Turn 86: The Haunting!
« Reply #1214 on: January 16, 2013, 03:04:13 pm »

School is back in session, that means it's time to get, UPDATING!!!!!!!!

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 86:  The Haunting!

Quote from: Zako
Open the door and head inside the shed to check it out. Take a good look around and then search the place for anything useful.

[6] You head inside the shed.  Hmm, it's pretty nifty in here, nice countertops and such.  There are some cupboards and some sharpening equipment in here.  It looks pretty standard really.  You're just about to turn around when you hear the door close behind you.  You try to open the door but the handle won't move.  Behind you, you can hear some kind of noise.  You slowly turn your head around to look at it.  Some kind of servant ghosts are staring at you.  They don't appear directly hostile, but then again, they did lock you in here.

Quote from: lawastooshort
And Tikan stands guard outside the shed.

[5] You stand outside the shed, watching for anything suspicious when the door closes.  You try to force it open, but it's going to take a lot more effort than just a simple shove.

Quote from: Caellath
Wait until the team is ready to roll.

[auto-success] You stand around, talking with the fox woman, wondering what is taking so long in the shed.

Quote from: Tiruin
Akari sighed as gave up on her search, pocketing the grass while moving up close to Mordekhai, choosing to rest for the moment in hopes that someone better than she had found something more useful.

[auto-success] You rest, looking around.  You shiver as you look at the house.  Something just doesn't seem right about that place.

Quote from: Ochita (auto)
Get out of the pool and rejoin the group.

[6] You move over to one of the ladders out of the pool but as you get near it somebody pulls it up and leaves you stranded in there.  "Hey, guys... a little help please?" you yell out.

Quote from: Fleur
Go try and help Aegnor

[4] Fleur approaches the pool and sees the ladder just sitting there out of reach.  She picks it up and holds it down allowing Aegnor to get out.  "Of course 'zey would set-up in a 'aunted 'ouse," Fleur murmurs.
