Mordekhai stops talking and turns his head towards the direction Fleur points at, watching as the angry troll starts to show signs of hostility. "Miss, we wish you no harm and want none in return. We are simply trying to find a wrongdoer and bring her justice."

The crusader raises his helmet's visor and smiles, stepping aside to grant her passage.
"You may pass as you wish. There is no need for blood to be shed."

Diplomacy.

If she attacks, use both flail and thurible to chain and restrain her arms.

((Woops! Been a bit distracted from this as of late! Sorry!))

Stay silent and watch her carefully for signs of an attack. Prepare a bash attack if she tries anything but make sure to attack from a flanking position from Mordekhai for the best effect.

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 83:  Diplomacy Success

[Hidden Group Roll vs. Hidden Diplomacy Difficulty Roll] The group parts the way for Rose quickly while uttering statements of apology.  Rose stops for a moment and puts her sword away.  "That's better.  You children weren't really worth the time anyhow." she says.  You remain uncertain as to whether her gruffness is actual disdain for non-As'ci'tili, or if she is just trying to put on a strong face for some reason.  As quick as she showed up she leaves again, leaving you all wondering what the whole situation was all about.

[4]  You make it the rest of the way to the Mansion without further incidents of random insanity.  The whole place is spooky staring with a fence made of iron spears.  On some of them the rust looks almost like dried blood.  You enter the courtyard and shut the gate behind you.  You can see a drained pool to the left, a large tree overlooking the wall to the right, and some kind of outer storage building, or maybe a shed, next to the tree in addition to the mansion straight ahead of you along an path of mossed over stones.  The grass seems decently cared for actually.

((Which means Z&D will continue its regular showing after January 3? :P))

Examine ye rust! Ascertain if it is blood, or if its easy to scrape off! Meaning see how long it was till it rusted and then admire the metal underneath if it gets scraped off!

Akari shifted her gaze at the tree, then at the Mordekhai, then at the pool, and then back to the Crusader. "Was she related to Kael? Also, what was our purpose here again?

"Hey Fleur, did the other troll own this property or is it customary to draw your sword and shoo away other people in your ideal path?"

And then Ask Fleur!

"Hmm, since we are here, it's worth checking the map we got back at the docks." Mord says more to himself than the others before turning to Akari. "I don't know and don't believe so, and second, we are here to find Maria, the pirate captain."

Check the area depicted by the map.

"Why did Maria seem to choose this dark and dank place as a hideout?" Akari said as she bent down, inspecting the grass before going off towards her intended area of investigation, "I mean, no good woman cares for only the grass in this place. I should know, I take care of the trees too. Or tree. And the austerity of this fence? Must be more polished to suit one's ego. Should be more...rustic- simple and shiny, you know? I mean, its all rusty that anyone could break right through the fence if the gate goes 'I won't let you in, ma'am!' or even that wall there.

"People can climb over that thing on the tree...Unless they're afraid of trees, that is. Then they'd use the gate."

Aegnor shrugs, tapping his staff against the lawn slightly. "Well, if the grass has been cared for, what purpose could having nice grass serve for? If you keep the grass good, why not also keep the fence good, as well as the rest of the outside? I mean, unless they're so unbothered by everything except the grass over here."

Aegnor shrugs again, and begins to poke around the side building, looking around the shed, and poking it occasionally with his staff.
"I'm ready to enter when you all are."

Akari pointed at the Mansion. "Maria isn't hiding in there, then? Or is the shed holding tools of important nature for her, like those thunder-cans she was holding."

"We have no idea where she might be hiding on the grounds. If she is indeed here at all." Kael replied, eyeing up the shed and the building nearby. "We will have to check everywhere. She might be holding innocent people hostage somewhere after all!"

"May I?"

Follow Kael to check the shed, going ahead if he allows it.

It seems more interesting than the fence. And I might be more discreet.

Zealots and Demons, The Fall of a God, Turn 84:  Defeated by a lock

Quote from: Zako
Head over to the shed and check it out.

[6] You head over to the shed, and find it locked by a simple key lock.  CURSES, FOILED AGAIN!

Quote from: Akari
Examine ye rust! Ascertain if it is blood, or if its easy to scrape off! Meaning see how long it was till it rusted and then admire the metal underneath if it gets scraped off!

[6] The rust comes off revealing yet more rust.  It doesn't appear to be blood or any other bodily fluids

Quote from: Caellath
Check the area depicted by the map.

[auto-success]

MAKES PERFECT SENSE AND IS ARTISTICALLY BEAUTIFUL!

[4] You wait for Kael, but it seems the lock has defeated him.  You notice a window next to the door.  How odd, a window in a shed.

Quote from: Ochita
(implied) Follow Kael into shed.

[5] You follow Kael as well.  You think about the grass being cared for.  You think it might have something to do with the wild magic, you're not really sure though.

Kael sighed at the lock and turned to the others.

"Ya got something to handle this thing? I could use the more... hands on approach, but it would be pretty loud and messy, and would ruin any chance of suprising anything we need to handle in a fight."

((I meant my action as in "what does the map depict?" I wanted to see if it has any characteristics we could recognize and analyze to determine the entrance to the hideout.))

Analyze the map again, trying to determine if the way inside is show in the map and where that would be using the area we are in as a base.

Mordekhai rose his eyes from the map briefly just to shake his head to Kael, answering without much noise. "Not one for subtleties of that kind either. Maybe Tikan can try her hand at it."
